The location is good,near the Gero Station, around 10 minites walk. Or take the scheduled shuttle bus from/to Gero Station. The breakfast is great with many varities. There are 3 public onsen choices in different buildings. The room is large but poor ventilation system as stinky smell comes from the bathroom.

The staff welcomed us at the hotel entrance and helped us check in the hotel quickly. The staff was very helpful in explaining the hotel layout and where our meals would take place, and made sure we understood before leaving. The dinner and breakfast service were amazing, the ingredients were very fresh and delicious. Their hotel has an outdoor foot bath with towels provided which I enjoyed immensely. The hotel is very clean and has shuttle service which was convenient since it is on a hill. We enjoyed our stay very much.

An old hotel that retains its grandness..
Although at check in, I was informed there's a charge only if I take the flowery yukata. There are free surprises in the Japanese room every day.
Clean Japanese socks, towels in bags and a different Japanese sweet every day with Japanese tea
My room faces the Hida River, it was beautiful looking out. It is very near the rail line, but it didn't disturb me.
And I suppose all river facing hotels face the same light loving insects. But if you follow the instructions placed in the room, it is alright

2.1 night 3500RMB, it feels a bit expensive. But this is a hot spring hotel with an excellent experience and impeccable service. Take a taxi from JR Gero Station to the hotel, free of charge. The reception staff is warm and thoughtful, and takes good care of every detail of the hotel and the room, which makes people feel very considerate. They don't even charge tips, which is very polite.
Accommodation includes one night and two meals, the dishes are rich and varied, and the taste is amazing. Especially dinner, it can be called a feast for taste buds, but breakfast is slightly ordinary in comparison.
The room I stayed in has its own private soup, and you can also watch the gorgeous fireworks festival. It is so comfortable that I didn't go to the open-air bath on the eighth floor of the hotel. The hotel also thoughtfully prepared welcome snacks, exquisite kimonos, and coffee in the lobby bar is also free, showing quality and care everywhere. Everything here makes me very satisfied, and the price of drinks is also very affordable. The only small drawback is that you have to eat breakfast at 8 o'clock and check out at 10:30, so you can't sleep in, otherwise it really can be called full marks💯

The hotel is very good. Before arriving 1 hour, because of heavy snow, I immediately changed my accommodation. So I looked for a new one. I decided to sleep at Gero Onsen. I found the hotel and chose the room type when I arrived. There was a small problem because it seemed like the hotel asked to check first and waited for 10 minutes. I got a room on the 10th floor. It was big and had a beautiful view. The onsen was very very good. It was a mixed room separated by gender on the 8th floor. There were both rooms and open-door access to the outdoor. The view of the snow was fluffy. It was suitable for all ages. Children and the elderly loved it. The breakfast was varied, but too salty for me... In conclusion, I was not tired anymore and was impressed. I want to stay again.
Note: The bathroom seemed to be cold water. We had to use the hot water in the shared bathroom (onsen).
- I couldn't find the water in the room. There was only a kettle with cold water for boiling water.
But there was a tea set provided. 🥲 So I didn't know which floor to get the hot water. I was afraid of being thirsty, so I went down to buy some water (I'm not sure if I didn't prepare everything).

No breakfast, we set the double room, did not ask for an extra bed, so it is not clear whether it can be added. Feel the location of the hotel is OK, but the price seems to be not very high. There are many similar family hotels in the town. Many of the shopkeepers don’t understand the Internet, so they don’t hang on the Internet. They can’t go out in the town during the peak period. There may be better choices.

Service was next to nothing, staff offered Salmon sushi and malt tea at no extra cost as I choosed to skip breakfast to catch up with early bus schedule. The room was very clean and quite spacious.
Dinner and breakfast was in Kaiseki style. The food was excellent, particularly the sashimi and the Hida beef (both grilled and sukiyaki).The use of local ingredients added to the uniqueness of the experience.
The onsen was not big but cozy. Considering the hotel has about 20 rooms only, it offer very good privacy and I enjoyed the public bath twice alone in my 2 days stay. Rental private bath was a good surprise and worth to try if you are traveling in pair.
Location is a bit far from train and bus station up on the top of the hill, but the the pickup service and a nice view of the mountain compensated for that.

WWahEIt takes about 19 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. It is near the hot spring street, so it doesn't feel too far. The hotel's hot spring bath is small and the open-air bath is very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast are rich and delicious😋. When we left, the hotel also arranged a taxi to pick us up from the station, which was very considerate.

When you walk into the hotel, you can see the welcome sign with the name of the booker, and then change your shoes to enter the hotel. When you go out, give the key to the front desk for safekeeping. The dinner of one night and two meals is good, and we think the breakfast is average. There is free coffee on the first floor, but you need to pay attention to the opening time. It happened to be Saturday when we went there, and there were winter fireworks. Although it was only 10 minutes, it was quite satisfying. There are hot springs both indoors and outdoors. There are not many pools, but fortunately there are few people. The outdoor bath is still quite comfortable. If it is snowing when you are bathing, the atmosphere will be better. One thing is not good, that is, there is no water dispenser in the hot spring. The room type we booked has a toilet in the room, but no bathroom, which means that whether you take a hot spring or not, you have to take a bath in the public bathroom.

Then there is Bailu Bridge 👍 The hotel entrance registration location is neat, there are coffee and other drinks, and there are bathrobes for male/female guests and children to wear out 👍 guest room size is still Yes, very comfortable, with separate toilets and bathrooms. 曾曾Gero Hongyekan Wanboting is really great! In Japan's three famous springs, Geroizumi, the service is very good. There is an open-air bath on the roof of a sister hotel, and there is a car to pick up and drop off at any time from 9 to 12 in the evening, which is very convenient. The water quality is so good, the sun that soaks up the skin will slide down when it falls on it. A wonderful hotel experience! The beauty at the front desk drove me out to buy urgently needed products when I was in an emergency. Every detail was great. The Japanese-style room was also spacious. I really like this place. I will definitely go again if I have a chance, and I will definitely stay here again. hotel. Breakfast is included, and the environment and ceremony are very beautiful! The hotel itself has indoor and outdoor hot springs. When it snows, get up early in the morning to soak in that outdoor hot spring, which is quiet and beautiful! Its sister pavilion has a very strange inclined elevator, and the hot spring water is the smoothest I have ever soaked in.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hot spring hotel did not meet expectations. The dinner service was particularly lacking. The food had already been set up in the room before we arrived, and the waiter offered minimal assistance, only asking if we had lit the fire. There was no explanation of the dishes, nor was a menu provided. To make matters worse, the necessary cutlery for different courses was repeatedly overlooked, which detracted from the overall dining experience. The food itself was unremarkable and didn’t compare to what other hot spring hotels typically offer.
The private onsen also posed a challenge. The water switch was broken, leaving no way to adjust the temperature or water flow, resulting in water that was uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. Breakfast the next morning was very basic and lacked the variety or creativity I’ve come to expect from similar establishments. Overall, the hotel did not live up to the standards I’ve experienced elsewhere and left much room for improvement.

Everything is over expectation: services, facilities, room, public bath (onsen), food, and all. One drawback would be language barrier between some staff, but they really trying to communicate with us which is impressive. Also, there is a free shuttle bus service between train station and hotel during daytime, very convenient. Tips for me is to book this hotel on weekdays, it is half price cheaper than weekends or holidays.

We’ve extremely grateful to the hosts for their outstanding service and hospitality from the heart. Loved the thoughtfully varied menu for each meal.
The establishment is spotlessly clean and excellently maintained. Each morning, our towels and yukata (hotel gowns) were replaced. So were the amenities ( fragrant green tea packs, snacks). The housekeeping staff even offered to mop our rooms after only one night’s stay.
The wifi was also fast and sustained well in the guest room and public lounge areas. There are facilities to cater to a wide range of age groups from seniors like us and children too. There were ample resting chairs in the lounge and on the way to the historian’s well as guest rooms.
The best facility was the hot springs! They are
exactly as depicted in the hotel website. Numerous indoor pools of various temperature all have the renowned ‘beautifying’ odorless alkaline water. My skin felt so smooth and moisturized after only one soak.
What’s more the hot springs stay open for in-house guests from 10.30 am to 11 pm and day-trip visitors from 10.30 am to 8 pm. In-house guests can also use the hotsprings early from 6 to 9 am. There is a European dry sauna as well as wet steam rooms in both make and female hotspring areas.
We would love to stay here again!

CCKA very satisfactory stay. The environment is clean and hygienic, the staff are friendly, and the service is very good. There is a shuttle bus to and from Gero Station. You can enjoy two meals in the room for one stay. The food is generous and the dishes are very exquisite and beautiful. My family is very satisfied.

RRex Wong HKThe overall experience was very satisfactory, and the Mandarin-speaking waiter arranged for us from Hong Kong and the communication was smooth. There is no shuttle bus at the location, but it takes more than ten minutes to walk from the JR station. If the luggage is not heavy, it is not too far. The hotel is beautiful, there is a letter shop at the beginning, and there is a foot bath hot spring pool. The seventh floor is a separate hot spring pool for men and women, with an open-air pool. The male soup faces the direction of the station and sees different scenery sooner or later. The female soup is very private, but there is no scenery. It seems that you can order private baths for men and women, but we have no time to try this time.
The room is large, you can choose to make a bed, there is no problem for four people, but this time it is only my girlfriend and I. The view of the stream outside the room is particularly beautiful at night, but it is very light in the morning. It is recommended to bring your own blindfold to sleep later. There are special activities on Saturday, there are many performances and stalls, very atmospheric.
Finally, meals, breakfast and dinner can not be missed, you can enjoy at a few designated times. We stayed for two nights, two days have different menus, the dishes have signature flying yak and fish raw, but the cooking method is different, very pleasant, it is recommended that two nights do not need to transfer to the hotel.
