I stayed overnight for the first time with my cousin and wife. The best time to see it was over, but the autumn leaves on the road to the entrance were wonderful. The building retains the remnants of its founding. It was a historic appearance where successive emperors' families stayed. I stayed in a comfortable Japanese-style room with 10 and 5 tatami mats. The large communal bath is an alkaline simple hot spring. In particular, the open-air bath with natural rocks is the best. The skin became smooth and smooth, and it felt very good. It is better to change the men's and women's baths the next morning. Supper is in the room. There are many types of menu in kaiseki cuisine, and we enjoyed the seafood and mountain food luxuriously. Breakfast is a Japanese set menu in the hall. Breakfast with dinner was also satisfactory and very delicious. It was a memory of a pleasant trip.

I'm struggle to put my review in words cause I am amazed by the services offered by the hotel and the staffs. First of all, upon reaching Gero station from Nagoya station using Hida Line, we are thrilled by the surrounding atmosphere and we took our time snapping photos around not knowing that the hotel offers a free shuttle bus for all their customers. The driver waited patiently at the exit gate, holding the hotel sign board waiting for all customers to leave the Gero station. This is a real PLUS in our stays. After we checked in, the staff lead us to our rooms and explained to us on the facilities of the hotel and the staff helped to exchange the size of Yukata after studying our heights. Very observant and thoughtful. There are 3 different hot springs in the hotel and if you have time, you can visit all of them. You can always put on your Yukata and walk inside the hotel region, including the stunning Japanese garden. Just that, most of the services/shops in the hotel are closed on 9pm JST. Remember to plan properly. The room is very spacious with 2 comfortable beds, a small tatami region for you to enjoy your private Japanese tea time. We love the breakfast provided by the hotel as it offered variety of both Japanese and Western breakfast. There is a shuttle bus service (usually once per hour for instance 10am, 11am and 12 noon) to fetch the customers back to Gero station. The staff waved us good bye is another amazing experience provided by Japanese. It is just amazing feeling. Tips: 1. You can purchase the 5Days JR pass and enjoy unlimited ride on some JR trains if you plan to visit Nagoya region and a day trip to Tateyama Alpine Kurobe route. 2. There are not many tourists during our visiting time (24 April 2023) and we love the peaceful feeling of it. Just that, it also comes with not many restaurants are available during the day.

Use block discount on weekdays. Overnight with a plan with color 々 benefits. The staff will move the car. There is also a guide to the room. The color yukata of the benefits was not damaged and there were some types. The room is large and clean. Supper is satisfactory with room meals. Breakfast is disappointing. The public bath was comfortable without congestion. The staff feels good. Foreign nationals were also full of Japanese. It was a reasonable and satisfying stay. However, it may be severe when it is crowded, such as the day before the holiday.

It was a stay using the prefectural people. Because I had declared on the phone in advance, the check-in procedure and the application of the prefectural people were very smooth. The guide in the building was a foreign national staff, and there was a wall of words, but it was easy to understand all the necessary matters. In addition, the information you received at check-in was also described in the information you were able to go to each large bath and were able to use all three large baths without hesitation. I was very worried about which dinner to make, but Ogawaya was the first time to use it, so I made it a standard meeting seat, but it was correct. You can eat at the private room banquet hall, and the amount and taste are satisfactory. The dinner attendant was also a foreign national, but it was very polite and very good as the guide. The breakfast buffet was also used after 7:00, so it was not particularly crowded, and the seat was also very relaxing. It was a type with an open-air bath on the balcony, so the stay in the room is also very relaxing and recommended. It was a stay without any inconvenience at all. I like the accompanying people very much and I would like to visit again when I go to Gero.

Since my child was 1 years old, I decided to travel with 3 family members and stayed there. There was also a kids room for children, and the children were very excited. The room was large and I was able to spend it freely. I was just wondering if the air conditioner in the kids room and the electricity were not on. Also, in the women's bath, the temperature of the children's bath was quite lukewarm and cold, and the fence of the crib was low, so it was difficult because I couldn't put the child in. But I also took an open-air bath in the room and it was a very enjoyable trip. Thank you very much.

GGuest User Kaiseki Shuku Mizuhoen was a restaurant that boasted the name of Kaiseki Shuku, which is located a little east of the center of Gero Onsen. The number of rooms is ten, so I didn't even meet almost other guests during my stay. The lobby, the nice garden, the hot springs were really monopolized, and the public space was very comfortable, of course, in the room. The dinner was served with an Italian course at the Italian restaurant. Of course, the main was HIDA beef, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the beauty of the dishes, and of course the taste were perfect. It is the best hot spring inn to relax with a couple.

GGuest UserIt feels like an ”adult's inn” with a quiet appearance. First of all, I liked that the front desk was not noisy because the number of rooms was small. Since the room was on the 1st floor, I was able to go outside for a while. I was healed by the mountains, the moon, and the murmuring of the river that I looked up from there. If it was 2F, could you see the river? Both the open-air bath and the indoor bath are not large, but it was nice to have a clean and calm feeling. I didn't take a reservation-only private bath, but maybe because I staggered the bathing time, I was able to enjoy it by myself both at night and in the morning. And the food is wonderful. It looks delicate and beautiful, and everything was really delicious ♡ It feels luxurious to be able to have it quietly in a private room. Also, it is worth mentioning that all the staff were nice and kind. There was a lot of attention to detail. For example, when I told the staff about the place I went to today, the proprietress who came to say hello to me at dinner knew it well and said, ”You went there, how was it?” , I handed over my preferences for breakfast the day before to the person in charge the next day (because I was staying for several nights), and asked me, ”Is it okay to have the same rice porridge and tomato juice as yesterday?” I was also surprised that the information was shared so that it was unnecessary. I was very happy to spend a relaxing and enjoyable time with my husband and wife on a reward trip once a year. It is a wonderful inn that you will want to visit again, and it is recommended.

GGuest UserThe stay in Mutsumikan was very good. The Hotel (Ryokan) is very close to the train station. To the center of Gero it takes roundabout 5 minutes by foot. The experience seemed very authentic. Most of the staff understand basic english, so communication was never an issue. Our room was very clean and tidy. Everything you need for a 2 night trip was there. The outdoorbath was pretty small, but that was never an issue with the amount of people staying there. Breakfast and dinner were in a japanese style and very tasty, but maybe not to everyone's palate. Overall the stay was pretty good and I would stay there again.

DDreamer15548430927Yukyunohana checks all the boxes for a good hotel in a beautiful onsen town. It is the sister ryokan to Fugaku which is just next door. In fact, you check-in and out at Fugaku but Yukyunohana is the newer building and it definitely shows. The standout feature of the hotel has to be the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and speaks English well. From the moment I booked the hotel, I received an outreach explaining the features of the hotel and asking for my arrival time and other details. Once my travel plans firmed up, I informed them and they arranged a pick up at the train station which was very reassuring. While it is possible to walk to Yukyunohana, it would take more than 15 min especially with luggage. On the day we departed, they also arrange a drop off at the train station. Check-in was fast as they walked us through the features of the hotels and asked us for our preference of dining times. Our luggage was taken to our room for us (also cleaned) and then we were given a tour of the ryokan including showing us our private dining room. I have stayed at enough ryokans throughout Japan to say that Yukyunohana's room is pretty typical. We did book the rooms with the western beds which is a standout feature! Having slept on futons in previous ryokans, I do appreciate having a regular bed. Comfort trumps tradition! The room is large and has a nice sitting area and a balcony with almost a view of the river. the only disappointment is that the tub is pretty small and really only for 1 person. Getting full-board at a ryokan in an onsen town is definitely a must. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and varied. On both days we were there, it was a lot of food and they did not repeat the same food! You won't be leaving hungry. Our server was a wonderful Nepali who spoke English well and could described each item. Given that we were in Hida prefecture, we had Hida beef on both nights and it was definitely the highlight of the meals. There weren't any private onsens but they had two community onsens that alternate between male and female guests. The one on the roof is outdoor and has an incredible view of the surrounding mountains in the morning. However, it is quite small and probably only 3 people can be in it. Go early (6 am) and you will probably have it to yourself which makes it amazing. The other onsen is very large with a big pool but is all indoor. It is much more basic but still as comfortable. Gero is not very big and everything is within 15 min walking distance. The main part of town is less than 10 min. The furthest places like Gassho Village and the train station is further. Yukyunohana is located slightly away from the main street but is still very convenient to go around town. Yukyunohana is a great place to park yourself for a day or two to enjoy the wonderful hot springs! The food and staff makes it an incredible experience!

GGuest UserThe rooms are spacious and bright, the scenery is charming, the fireworks can be seen at night, clean and tidy, it is a traditional decoration style. The colorful bathrobes seem to dress the whole holiday as well. The hotel has a separate hot spring, and the whole family can go soaking together. Of course, dinner and breakfast here are had to be mentioned, delicious to death. The staff from Hong Kong are polite and welcoming and helpful.

MMobile53345374483I compared it to Gero Shinkan! I stayed at Oedo Onsen Gero Shinkan the day before and stayed at Almeria the next day. I stayed at Gero Shinkan for the third time and Almeria stayed at least 10 times, but I stayed for the first time in a long time due to the influence of Corona. Personally, I thought that Almeria was higher than Gero Shinkan, but I was surprised that I stayed this time and the level was too low. In the first place, I understand that I think that measures for corona should be taken only on the upper side and only in shape! The disinfectant solution is always placed in front of the elevator on each floor in the Gero Shinkan, and it is placed in various places, so it can be used immediately, and give me an alcohol spray at check-in so that it can be used in the room. To. Almeria is only in front of the first elevator, not on each floor, and even if you want to use it after pressing the button in the elevator, there is no disinfectant, so you can't do it. The dining venue is also disposable in the Gero Shinkan, but there is a trash can to throw gloves at each table, but Almeria says that the gloves used should be placed on the table. things. What for gloves? It's disposable because it may get fungi, right? I don't understand why you can remove the mask and put it on the table where you eat. The staff will follow you with rice as an infection control measure, but at that time I dropped the rice sprout on the floor ... Then I ”dive” once in the water to get wet so that the rice does not stick. I tried to use it as it was. Did you drop it now? When I said, I washed it just by diving it, and I said Do hall 々! When I told him to wash it properly, I took it to the water supply and flushed it lightly and used it again! When I asked other staff, it was a staff from Philinpin, but please don't stand up to a person who is not educated properly whether you are from Japan or from Philippines! And the last time I stayed, there was a person in the bath with tattoos. There is a poster in front of the bath saying that people with tattoos or tattoo should not enter, but they do not have staff or look around at all, and after all the quality of the hotel is poor, so such customers come. I think. The Gero Shinkan is safe because the staff comes in frequently by temperature checking, etc., so it is safe because the eyes are attentive. And the price is higher in Almeria than in Gero Shinkan, and the content of the meal, the quality of the staff, the service, and the corona measures are inferior. Even though the price is high, you don't have to stay in a bad place (laughs) As a result, I will never go to Almeria again! !! I'm sorry that I liked it so far and went well, but if I stay in Almeria in the future, I will stay at Gero Shinkan! There are a lot of hotels in Gero, but I don't recommend staying in Almeria. At the front of the hotel, there were many awards and cherry blossoms such as Rakuten Travel, Yahoo Travel, Jalan, Rurubu in 2018 〜 2021, etc., and selected as an excellent hotel, but what was the basis chosen I feel like I think it was. The evaluation is also eyebrows (laughs) I will go to Gero Shinkan again at the end of the month! I think everyone should also use Gero Shinkan and other hotels. Please refer to it.

GGuest User[Prologue] First of all, the 8 steps from the road to the hotel entrance are difficult for luggage. Thinking of a slope? (He brought me...). The lobby on the first floor is large, and a woman in a kimono welcomes you. When I told my name, Mr. Nakai took me to the room, but I rested in a chair until Mr. Nakai came. The room is a 10-tatami mat Japanese-style room, a river side room, a table chair, a refrigerator, and what you would find in a Japanese-style inn. The key to the room is a key type, but two keys were given. There are only two elevators, so we waited a bit depending on the time. [Dinner] It was a room meal, but the contents were 4 appetizers, sashimi, Hida beef, boiled tofu (made by yourself), grilled food, and boiled food. Hida beef is only 3 pieces of 5 mm 4 cm thick. It looks like it's going to be a volume when you first bring it? I thought, but when I tried it, it wasn't so much, and I felt unsatisfactory. [Large public bath] The bath is on the 7th floor. There is a resting place next to the stairs, cold tea at night but not in the morning. There is a dressing room shelf, but there is no dressing basket. Swap men and women in the morning. Each has a different structure (1 indoor bath, 2 open-air baths). There are 8 washrooms, and towels and bath towels should be prepared from the room. Insects come in because the door is open for ventilation. The price of alcohol is high, such as bottled beer 700 yen. The air conditioner cover is off (there is no problem with the air conditioner, it looks bad)

SSHENGXUANThe location of the hotel is very partial, not in Gero, it is at Hida osaka station. It takes about half an hour by JR from Takayama to arrive. It is a very, very small platform. After getting off the train, there are no people in a radius of 10 kilometers. All shops are closed. If you don’t make it in advance Raiders will probably cry out at the station because of helplessness. We took the address and took the bus. This is an original hot spring hotel with a century of history, full of human touch and warmth. Most of them are Japanese locals who come to soak in the hot springs by themselves. The hotel owner and staff do not speak English at all. They rely on the lame translation machine➕sign language to communicate. When entering the store, they will first make an appointment for the bath time, which is only 40 minutes. It seems that there is no need to make an appointment outside. For breakfast, all Japanese-style home cooking is exquisite and there are many types. After taking you to the room, Obasan was very polite. He felt sorry for us because the room was still cold. There were two hot water bottles in the bed. Quanyuekan is named for the high concentration of carbonated springs. The two pools have a lower temperature inside and a higher temperature outside. There is hot spring water at the entrance of the male bath that you can drink directly. It is soda water. The mask paper is provided, you can go directly in to get the hot spring water to apply, or you can feel the bubbling under the bottom, and the skin will be slippery after soaking. Inadequate: the location is really biased! Although the dinner and breakfast provided are very rich, it is inevitable that you will be lonely in this wilderness! You need to bring your own dry food! There are no other activities except bathing, the hotel is very, very quiet! Compare

Gero Hongyekan Wanboting is really great! In Japan's three famous springs, Geroizumi, the service is very good. There is an open-air bath on the roof of a sister hotel, and there is a car to pick up and drop off at any time from 9 to 12 in the evening, which is very convenient. The water quality is so good, the sun that soaks up the skin will slide down when it falls on it. A wonderful hotel experience! The beauty at the front desk drove me out to buy urgently needed products when I was in an emergency. Every detail was great. The Japanese-style room was also spacious. I really like this place. I will definitely go again if I have a chance, and I will definitely stay here again. hotel. Breakfast is included, and the environment and ceremony are very beautiful! The hotel itself has indoor and outdoor hot springs. When it snows, get up early in the morning to soak in that outdoor hot spring, which is quiet and beautiful! Its sister pavilion has a very strange inclined elevator, and the hot spring water is the smoothest I have ever soaked in.

GGuest UserI used it to celebrate his birthday. I made a reservation for the anniversary plan on Jalan net. When I make a reservation, I would like to pay for the lodging fee without him knowing it in the desired column for the ryokan. Is it possible? I filled in and made a reservation, but there was no contact from the inn until the day before I stayed. He said that he would make arrangements so that the other person would not know. Also, if you are coming from Nagoya, please change it so that you can have dinner in a private room, and if you come from Nagoya after receiving an explanation of the prefectural discount before hanging up the phone, please use it! I hung up the phone with a very good impression. On the day of my stay, I received a call from the ryokan, and when I called back (different from the time of reservation confirmation), it was about the prefectural discount, but people from outside the prefecture could not take the PCR test for free, from Jalan net. I was told that the prefectural discount would not be applied to the reservation, and I tried to cancel by opening Jalan net during the phone call, but I couldn't. I haven't seen that screen right now...” ”I don't know the price of the PCR test.” I was wondering if you called me without looking into anything, but since I'm going to use it for a celebration, I'm fine with the prefectural discount. and hung up the phone. (I wanted to write a review after staying, but the reservation was canceled without permission) I was sightseeing near the inn to change my mood, and it seems that I received a call from the inn again, and I didn't notice the answering machine. When I asked, he said, ”I have something to say about the prefectural discount, so please call me at 090.” Even though I said no more, I was irritated because they asked me to call a different number. Noticing that I was irritated, he called me instead, and when I asked what kind of contact he was, he said, ”Do you have an inspection certificate because you will be using the prefectural discount?” Just in case, he brought a test certificate, so he was allowed to use the Kenminwari. I listened to the phone while being amazed, but decided to head straight to the inn. I was going to take a bath before dinner, and when I went to the reception to pay for the accommodation, I was told, ”I'm not ready yet.” Did you tell me over the phone? When I told him, he said, ”I haven't been able to enter yet...”. ”I'll call you when I'm ready.” He was in the room after the bath, so he was known after all. It's dinner time and the young proprietress? I don't know who you are, but (because no one at the inn introduced themselves), I had a good time taking pictures. The next morning, the same person prepared breakfast for me, and I felt very comfortable going home with him. When I returned the room key and was about to leave the inn, a petite woman in her 70s turned to him and asked me, ”Are you going to be born soon?” I couldn't say anything because I didn't know what he was talking about. I was walking to the car with him, but I gradually remembered what I had said earlier, and said to him, ”Sorry, I can't forgive the person just now, so I'm going away for a while.” He said, ”It's okay, let's go now,” but I didn't allow it. The young proprietress who prepared dinner and breakfast and the person who made insulting remarks were standing side by side, but he stopped me and I left the car. I am still angry about what happened last Sunday morning. There is a saying that all is well that ends well. I think most people stay here to relax their bodies and minds to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, and other occasions. At the end of the day, when I saw him off, he said something that insulted the human body and laughed. He and I were both very upset and ruined because of him. If you're working with people, why don't you at least say goodbye at the end? I feel sympathy when I think that I have only lived like that. I regret booking this inn. Not worth the rating as others have reviewed. It is really a pity.
