A very nice stay. The host is very helpful. The room is as nice as the photo provided. Location is perfect, with the attraction entry gate a few steps away only. The view out from the window is perfect. Everything is just nice.

Guest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

RexinwangyouzhengzaishuruI chose Fengyuantang Courtyard B&B for my trip to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, and I genuinely feel it was the right choice. Here are my honest thoughts.
First, the location: the B&B is nestled in a quiet spot within the bustling ancient town, making access very convenient. It was so relaxing to stroll back to our accommodation after enjoying the night views. It's truly hassle-free.
The B&B itself is the old Fengyuantang residence, a preserved Qing Dynasty building that is also a listed historic building in Kunshan. It's a typical Jiangnan ancient dwelling with black tiles, wooden windows, carved gate towers, and veranda eaves – every detail exudes the charm of old Jiangnan. Although the B&B was converted from a hundred-year-old house, the interior completely lacks the dampness and dated feel often found in old buildings. The living comfort is very high; it retains only the unique rustic tranquility of an ancient building, making for a serene and comfortable stay.
The owners spent over a year meticulously renovating it. The courtyard features several beautiful miniature landscapes, from stone paths and pomegranate trees to lush greenery. There are also swings, stone tables, and benches. On rainy days, raindrops falling from the eaves, combined with the red lanterns, create a particularly atmospheric scene. Every corner is picturesque, perfect for photos, and simply sitting in the courtyard, sipping tea, and unwinding is incredibly peaceful. Both nights of my stay happened to be during the Jiangnan plum rain season, and experiencing the misty Jiangnan atmosphere within the old house was truly unique and evocative.
Both the owner and his wife are incredibly warm and attentive, treating guests kindly and genuinely, without any sense of distance. Breakfast is a simple, authentic Jiangnan home-style meal: white porridge with fried dough sticks, corn, eggs, and refreshing side dishes – light and palatable, just right to fill up before exploring the ancient town.
The entire B&B is immaculately clean. The ancient building has been comfortably renovated while retaining its original charm. The courtyard offers a new picturesque view at every turn, the service is thoughtful, and getting around is convenient. My stay this time was a perfect 10, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Zhouzhuang. I sincerely recommend it to anyone looking for a slow and immersive stay in the ancient town!

Anonymous UserI found a newly opened restaurant with bears. Shanghai is very close. The news said that the weather was good on the last day before May, so I decided to go there for a while. The hotel was renovated from a Zhengyi granary. There are not many guests. The nearby pond has a unique wild charm, and the Gesang flowers are in bloom.
The hotel is within walking distance of Zhengyi Old Street. The parking is spacious, convenient and self-driving friendly, and the butler service is attentive. The lobby is Tonghua Bookstore, which is spacious and bright, and is also the only way to the room. The restaurant Liutangchun provides breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. Like other bears, there is also an art exhibition section, which is naturally related to Kun Opera.
The guest rooms are all townhouses, with stylish green plants and simple interior decoration in Japanese style. The hard furnishings are unsatisfactory, and the furniture is mostly in Vatican style which is pretty good. The room provides VOSS water, free minibar, Bulgari supplies, and Dyson hair dryer. The key is that there is actually a bear in the living room this time.
The hotel housekeeper brought the room into the room, and there was actually a cleaning staff in the room. Although he apologized immediately, objectively it was not appropriate. The hygiene should not be looked at carefully to find unknown hairs (I took a photo but I didn’t want to post it), so we didn’t take a shower. . The smell is not big considering the new decoration. There are two air purifiers in the room. The feeling varies from person to person. I have a sensitive constitution. My throat and face were quite uncomfortable during the entire stay. I felt better after leaving.
Although it is a villa, there is basically no privacy. There are often workers talking in the corridor and outside the yard. Early in the morning, when I was preparing to sit in the yard, a water pipe suddenly stretched out to water the house. The sound insulation is also relatively poor. You can hear trains whizzing by at any time in the corridor. If you want a quiet vacation, you can ignore it.
Due to the design, the restaurant has a lot of glass and is very sunny. We felt it was very hot during breakfast. After expressing our opinions, it did not improve, so we had to use the built-in electric fan. Due to the cooperation of the lunch waiter, the soup from the dish was spilled on the chair, and my hat and bag were less than 5 centimeters away. The waiter did not apologize at all.
There were a lot of flaws, and from time to time I saw a few workers repairing or sitting around. The overall management is not yet skilled, but the price is not expensive and it is okay to live casually. Overall, it is not recommended.

After staying two nights, we decided to stay one more night. We came by car and the hotel has its own parking lot which is completely free. The hotel is just outside the Zhaofeng Road Station of Shanghai Metro Line 11. You can take the subway eastward to various attractions in downtown Shanghai and directly to Disneyland. To the west, transfer to Suzhou Metro Line 11 at Huaqiao Station and go directly to various attractions in Suzhou. How convenient! The car can be parked for free at the hotel, which saves the inconvenience of driving and parking in the urban areas of Shanghai and Suzhou, and the parking fees in the urban areas are extremely expensive. Finally, I would like to say that this hotel is very cost-effective. You can stay for two or three nights here instead of one night in a hotel of the same level in Shanghai or Suzhou. In short, it's warm, convenient, clean and cost-effective. Next time I come to Shanghai or Suzhou, I will still stay here.

Staying with two people, all aspects exceeded expectations. The location of the hotel is easy to find, self-driving parking is convenient, the surrounding business district is perfect, and it is suitable for walking and eating at night. The environment is clean and quiet, the room has no smell, and the lighting and ventilation are good. The facilities are brand new and easy to use, the WiFi is smooth, the mattress is moderately hard and soft, and the wet and dry separation bathroom feels good. The service staff is warm and courteous, the procedures are efficient, the extra items are delivered quickly, and the couple is the first choice for short-term accommodation.

Guest UserI specifically came to see the Dianshan Lake fireworks show, and Aloft was definitely the best spot! Compared to the Sheraton next door, Aloft offers outstanding value for money. The rooms are new and the facilities are modern. The lake view rooms offer an expansive view, allowing you to enjoy the entire fireworks display immersively without even leaving your room. The fireworks show itself was incredibly spectacular.
As a side note for everyone: the lake-view tables at the Sheraton's Chinese restaurant were fully booked on fireworks night, so if you want a window seat, be sure to book well in advance. The food was delicious and worth trying.
I personally saw many friends drive there, and the roads by the lake were severely congested. They were stuck in traffic for two or three hours each way, enduring the summer heat, which was really tough. Choosing to stay at a hotel eliminates the hassle of long-distance traffic jams, allowing you to comfortably watch the fireworks in air-conditioned comfort. All things considered, the value for money is exceptional.
If you want to comfortably and conveniently watch the fireworks show, Aloft should be your first choice. The experience is absolutely top-notch, highly recommended!

Very right choice! Highly recommended!
Over the weekend, I gathered a few friends to explore Yangcheng Lake and taste the hairy crabs that people across the country long for. After searching online for hotels around the lake, I chose this very cost-effective star-rated hotel. On the day I checked in, I asked the front desk clerk how to achieve ”eating eight legs at Yangcheng Lake” and received an enthusiastic reply. The young lady also wrote me directions. Introduction: There are subway and bus stations just downstairs from the hotel. Even taking a taxi only takes about 20 kilometers. Living in this hotel in the city saved me money on the high-speed train back to Beijing rather than living near the lake. Do you think it's worth it? Haha, you made the right choice!
The bathroom and room area are relatively large, luxurious and comfortable, and the hygiene is first-rate. The room attendant also introduced me to a better local crab restaurant, which they call ”Crab Village”
I was bored when I came back at night. The hotel has a mahjong room open and the air is fresh, which is nice.

Anonymous UserA single-family villa on the first floor, with good independence, and the car can be parked directly at the door of the villa. The butler will add WeChat in advance, and the service is responsive. The disadvantage is that the villa is indeed a bit old, the maintenance is general, the doors and windows are not very neat to open and close, the room is a little unventilated, and the surface is still clean. Overall, the whole family travels together and gathers together.
