Subject: Great Beach Access, but Washroom and Additional Charges Disappoint
I recently stayed at Novotel Nusa Dua in Bali for two days, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The property stands out for its excellent location near the beach, with a private shuttle service making access seamless and convenient. The private beach facilities were impeccable and one of the highlights of the stay.
The room was well-maintained, spacious, and clean, which added to the comfort. However, the washroom was a major letdown. The system was not well-designed, which caused some inconvenience and did not match the otherwise high standards of the property.
Another downside was the additional charge for a second bed. While I understand this is part of the policy, the quality of service and amenities provided for this extra fee did not justify the cost and could have been handled better.
The property does come across as slightly overpriced for the facilities offered, but if you are looking for a luxurious stay with lots of amenities and a private beach experience, it is worth considering. My recommendation would be to choose this hotel only if having a private beach and resort-style amenities is a priority for your stay.

The first thing that caught my attention was the almost complete lack of power outlets — there are barely any, and the ones that do exist are placed in inconvenient and hard-to-reach spots.
The second issue is sound insulation: you can clearly hear noises from the hallway in the room, even though the soundproofing between rooms is quite good.
The third — and it’s really uncomfortable — is the placement of the light switches: they’re on the opposite side of the bed. So if you’re lying down, you can’t turn off the light above you yourself. You have to ask your partner to turn off the light above you, while you do the same for them. It makes no sense.
As for the beach — swimming is not really an option: as soon as you get waist-deep, you run into seaweed. That’s why we mostly used the pool, though unfortunately, its depth is no more than 1.2 meters.
Other than that, everything was fine.
.

Superb location for layovers since it’s beside the airport, and breakfast boxes are available if you need to catch an early morning flight
Room is acceptable but bathroom has a small basin area
Great if you are transiting and need a place to crash for the night, not so great if you are looking for a relaxing, fancy resort as base for your Bali tip
