Bambu Indah Resort Reviews

We stayed at Bambu Indah for 2 nights between 3-5 June 2024. As someone who has stayed in many places before, we can say that it was the best hotel we have stayed in. All the employees are so friendly that you are always filled with positive energy. We especially loved the natural vibe here and they work hard to maintain it. There is always great work and effort, whether it is the maintenance of natural pools or the pest control of the rooms. Thanks to the naturally flowing water from the spring, the coldness of the water is perfect for this hot weather and it cools you down very well. We have not had any negative experiences, you can stay with peace of mind. Many thanks to everyone who contributed.

Before booking, I read the reviews of Bambu Indah and they were polarized, but I want to say that so far, it will be my top 3 favorite hotels in the world. I like its concept of being completely environmentally friendly, and I really enjoy its positioning as a hotel close to nature. Nature and environmental protection are definitely not gimmicks. This time, for a more complete experience, we stayed in three of the most popular room types in Bambu Indah. Tree house, Moon House, Guadua house. I want to talk about my feelings about these three room types based on my experience. 1. The favorite is Tree house, which is a room type that must be experienced in this hotel. Living in it, you will feel that your childhood dream has come true, living in a tree, a room like in the movie Avatar. There are no doors or windows, but the natural barrier gives you peace deep in your heart. 2. Moon House ranks second, very close to the river. If you can accept the white noise of the natural river to fall asleep, Tree House is "on the tree" overlooking the forest, while Moon House is "really" living in the woods. The high-end detailed room design is not abrupt in the primitive environment, and you can bask in the sun all day on the hammock in the room. 3. Guadua House, the first room type we stayed in. It was very exciting because it was the first experience, but after staying in Tree House and Moon House, I didn't feel anything about this room type. We were worried about mosquitoes, snakes and other small animals before we stayed. To be honest, the problem of mosquitoes is difficult to avoid in such a deep forest, but the hotel has done a good job of insect repellent. We were in the forest in the rainy season and were not too disturbed by the mosquito problem, because to have such an experience, some small sacrifices must be made. The service staff of the entire hotel are very good, and there is also a strong privacy between the guest rooms. In short, I love this hotel and I will definitely come back!

We booked accommodation that day when we arrived in Nusa Penida. When we checked out the next day, the owner's daughter asked us to pay again. She showed us the receipt and told them that we had already paid. She said that what we paid was the "confirmation fee" for the room and said that she had paid it yesterday. It was cancelled. I then showed her my credit card and there was no refund. She still insisted on us paying. The two parties were in a stalemate and called Trip's customer service and asked us not to pay again. They called to confirm. After a while, they said there was no need to pay. , but they did not answer the call from customer service, because we had already left when the customer service called and said they did not answer the call. The hotel was obviously not familiar with the use of the Internet and the credit card machine, because while eating breakfast, it was done repeatedly while waiting for the previous group of passengers to swipe their cards. After 20 minutes, the hotel didn’t even apologize when they said they didn’t have to pay. I wasted a lot of time on my early morning trip and didn’t even apologize. There were ants in the fried rice. I don’t recommend starting a good day with this stupid thing.

It was the most special experience of this trip to Ubud. Let me start with the disadvantages: it is very different from traditional hotels, it is open, there will be bugs (some friends may not accept it), the air conditioning is not very powerful, the sound of the Ayung River is loud at night, and the Cooper room I stayed in needs to climb up and down, which is quite tiring. Other than that, it is really a great experience! Jungle landscape, pure natural swimming pool, bamboo elevator, each one is special enough (very photogenic), I like it! ! ! 😘😘

Too many bugs! Spiders and other insects can fly directly from the tree to the bed. A big star beetle flew to my bed. It was also very noisy outside. But if you like nature, you can come here. The design of the tree house is also very special.

It's good for vacation, but there are too many bugs

It is a very nice, small boutique property. The rooms are quite open to the surrounding, so might not be for everyone, but if you like nature it is a treat The staff are charming and always very helpful. The morning walking tour with Cubix was amazing. One comment is we wish the local food would be more authentic and flavorful.

It’s hard to find the right words to describe this unique experience. Even after three nights, it’s difficult to express just how sad we are to leave Bambu Indah. The accommodations are nothing short of stunning—each bespoke, bamboo structure showcases creative architecture and inspiring design. We stayed in the Sumba house, a comfortable three-bedroom home that’s a bit secluded, which we loved. The entire place radiates positive energy and good vibes, especially by the river with its pure water pools. The service is impeccable, and the staff are incredibly kind and dedicated. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking peace, relaxation, and beautiful architecture. Well done to the whole staff and to the owners

What an absolute surprise when you enter through the humble entrance of this resort. It is beautiful, atmospheric and quaint. Both the swimming pool and spring fed pools are delight to swim and relax. Felt safe as a solo traveler despite lack of locks on doors. Food was delicious and attentive to sustainability and presentation. A special mention for the wonderful staff. You made my stay even more memorable. Thank you

It was an extraordinary experience to be able to have lunch at River Warung with a very professional waiter named Hendra. Thank you Hendra for providing truly extraordinary service to us. I hope to come again with you who serve. Truly five stars service for Hendra. It is highly recommended to come because the place is more amazing than you can imagine.

The best eco resort in the world?! I think so. Unbelievable staff, the beds are divine and it’s just the right mix of luxury and nature. I did not see a single piece of plastic during my stay which in a frat considering the state of the world. Dea at the front desk was so accomodating to my mom who couldn’t do all the stairs for breakfast so she got room service that was so punctual and beautiful everyday.

Breathtaking nature , great food , excellent staff , I could sit here and watch the nature for hours. Fantastic plants and wild life. Superb! Great massage and treatments on offer ! Brilliant value for money a must see in ubud if you are visiting Bali.

As I looked for places to stay in Ubud, I wanted to feel that I was a part of nature, while also having the comforts of a luxury hotels. Bambu Indah gave me just that. The hotel is on a beautiful property with lush greenery and beautiful views of the rice fields and sunsets. Every morning you walk through the trees and across the river to breakfast, which I really enjoyed the variety of eggs, vegan les, juices, etc. it felt like breakfast was nourishing my body and my soul. The restaurants also serve other amazing dishes for lunch and dinner. I enjoyed their local cocktails and food options. The rooms are open and the restroom was outside with the shower hanging over the tree and large rock. If you don’t like nature, this would not be the right place for you, but for me, it was what I wanted. The rooms have everything you need from coffee, drinks, snacks - including the best granola bar I have ever had in my entire life. The staff is very friendly and reached out ahead of my trip. I was able to coordinate my transportation and other activities via WhatsApp prior to my arrival. It was all very easy. There is not gym and the spa is limited in terms of amenities, but that wasn’t important for my stay.
