Amazing
SSonglu4.8 out of 5 stars. Let me provide an objective overview of my stay. 👍🏻**The Good:** First off, the hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, with every single team member demonstrating professionalism. Their attentive and friendly service truly made us feel happy and valued. The hotel boasts a superb location; its private beach is fronted by reefs and mature trees, offering plenty of shade, which made it pleasantly cool for daytime activities. Every single bungalow provides a stunning sea view! Plus, they offer a complimentary transfer to the pier when it's time to depart. 😮💨**The Not-So-Good:** On the downside, the hotel's facilities are a bit dated. The floorboards in our room creaked noticeably when we walked around. We also found quite a few mosquitoes and other insects in the bungalow, and the shower water pressure was rather low. The breakfast is à la carte, but the food quality was just average. **In Summary:** If you're planning a trip to the island, I'd suggest splitting your stay: two nights near Pattaya Beach (by the pier) and two nights on the Sunrise side. **A Final Clarification:** The hotel does not provide complimentary kayaks. However, there are numerous kayak rental options available right along the beach.

XXiaomaodoudebabaThe hotel boasts an excellent location with breathtaking views. However, the only downside is the absence of a communal swimming pool. Private pools are exclusively available with pool-access rooms; standard rooms do not have them. For vacationers, please note that breakfast is à la carte when booking. In the evenings, there are several spots right next to the hotel perfect for enjoying a drink while watching the sunset. It offers excellent value for money, being slightly more affordable than Ilyn and just over a hundred meters away in terms of location.

GGuest UserFantastic location, just a minute or two walk to the beach right at the entrance of the walking street. The hotel itself is beautiful, with plenty of comfortable lounge areas under the trees, offering amazing close-up sea views. The evening dinner view was lovely, and the live band played great music. The service was excellent too; I even chartered a boat for an island hopping trip through the hotel, and it was cheaper than what the walking street vendors offered. The room was clean and quite spacious, though it felt a little older compared to Akira.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for 5 nights to celebrate a special occasion. my birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and far from what I had expected. During booking, I had clearly mentioned that it was a birthday stay. However, upon arrival, there was no welcome note or any gesture to make the occasion feel special. After an early morning ferry and a tiring journey, I was looking forward to a warm check-in experience, but instead, I was asked to download an app to make spa bookings. The app notifications became intrusive throughout the stay, which detracted from the relaxing atmosphere I was hoping for. Ahead of my birthday, I checked with three different staff members to confirm my massage booking, as I was not familiar with using the app. Each time, I was assured that the booking had been arranged. However, on the actual day, when I arrived at the spa, I was told there was no booking because I had not confirmed a time via the app. This was both frustrating and disappointing, especially as I had proactively sought confirmation multiple times at reception. What made matters worse was the lack of recovery from the hotel. There was no apology gesture no complimentary drink, no small token nothing to acknowledge the inconvenience or the ruined birthday experience. Later, when we requested assistance to arrange transport to find an alternative massage outside the hotel, we were informed that the taxi would cost THB 100 (USD3.00). While the amount is minimal, this would have been a perfect opportunity for the hotel to show goodwill after the earlier service failure. Unfortunately, no such effort was made. We were told the free shuttle only available from 6-8pm no exceptions in any case. Overall, the stay felt impersonal, with an over-reliance on the app and a noticeable lack of human interaction. It felt more like staying in a business hotel than a leisure resort. Guests should not be expected to manage their entire stay through an app especially when they come to relax. This experience was disappointing, particularly in how the situation was handled. There is clearly room for improvement in service recovery and guest engagement

GGuest UserI really enjoyed our stay jt was low season so nice and quiet but still a good atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable, we booked two but could have managed with one room with a 9 and 12 year old. Everything worked , the internet was decent. Gardens and greenery lovely spot. Breakfast was fairly standard for this type of accommodation. Nice fresh fruit eggs, bacon, pancakes , waffles and Asian options, eaten with a nice view of the sea. Location at end of beach but close to walking street. We tended to walk to North point and get a taxi scooter back for 50b. Food on island was good. Coffee from tugboat needs a mention. Island overall is beautiful and has a really nice vibe at present hopefully it doesn't get over developed. North point is a lovely area which still has it's natural beauty.

GGuest User## Excellent Location First off, considering the island's overall snorkeling quality, convenience, and the most stunning ocean views, Sunrise Beach truly stands out. Other beaches often accumulate some waste due to ocean currents. This hotel is positioned on the far right of Sunrise Beach, directly facing a small island perfect for paddleboarding and snorkeling, which you can even walk to during low tide. Step right out to the pool and beach, and the walking street is just a short stroll away, making it ideal for families, couples, and leisure travelers. The hotel offers complimentary snorkeling gear and kayaks, which makes snorkeling and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Renting these yourself would typically cost around 200 Thai Baht per hour. You can also borrow snorkels and masks, though for hygiene and safety, it's recommended to bring your own snorkel. ## Spacious and Comfortable Rooms The rooms are generously sized. We stayed in a Balinese-style luxury standalone pool villa, and the pool was literally just 10 steps from our door. My boyfriend and I loved swimming right outside our room during the hot, high-tide afternoons, then relaxing with naps and fruit smoothies. In the afternoons, it was incredibly easy to grab a kayak and head out to sea. ## À La Carte Breakfast Breakfast is à la carte, not a buffet. While the variety isn't extensive, the food is fresh, with options like pancake sets, bacon sets, porridge, and fried rice. However, the restaurant boasts a fantastic view. You can leisurely sip coffee, watching the sunrise and the beautifully clear, 'jelly-like' sea slowly transform from murky to transparent as local fishermen begin their day – a truly blissful experience. ## Environment and Facilities The hotel isn't large, but it's charming and well-maintained. Staff service hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, meaning it's essentially a semi-self-service setup. The lush greenery is lovely, and the pool and restaurant views are definite highlights. Overall, the hotel atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing getaway. ## Friendly Service The staff are warm, attentive, and the front desk service is very friendly. Our designated staff member, Pro, was particularly outstanding. From our arrival at the pier to our departure, he handled all our luggage. He also warmly transferred us when we switched hotels mid-stay. He even joked with us that the hotel's tree lizards were Komodo dragons! His warmth and humor were truly heartwarming. ## Suggestions It would be good to improve air conditioning maintenance in some rooms, as it can be quite noisy at night. Also, checking and addressing the issue of mosquito larvae in water troughs outside certain room windows would be appreciated. We stayed for 7 days, averaging 500 RMB per day. We visited during the off-peak season, so the island was indeed very quiet with many shops closed, but we still had a wonderful time. My boyfriend absolutely loved this hotel, finding it relaxing and cozy. He even said he'd rather move back here than stay in a 1000 RMB hotel!

HHemz1This hotel was a lovely surprise for me and my fiancee, with a beautiful rustic charm that really adds to the experience. The pool is fantastic, and the beach is literally just steps away. It’s also within walking distance to Walking Street, with convenient taxi services available right outside the hotel. Breakfast offered a great variety of options, which was a nice bonus. While this isn’t a typical 4 or 5-star resort, what you do get feels 5-star, the stunning beach, the beachfront bar, the pool, and the very comfortable bed and pillows all stood out. My only minor issue was with the shower, as the hot water was a bit inconsistent. Aside from that, I would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t pay too much attention to the negative reviews. Koh Lipe is a small paradise island far from the mainland, and this hotel is a wonderful place to enjoy it.

HHenryk Karl HermannFirst of all, the hotel itself is nice and close to the water with a nice view, this can be definitely recommended. But there are a couple of things that are not good. 1. A generator is running around the clock close to the entrance which vibrates through the ground. Earplugs were necessary to sleep. 2. The bar with awesome view closes 8pm already. 3. Lack of space for breakfast, you need to wait and come back until a table is free 4. E.g. Omelette is not possible to be served with vegetables at all, just egg and cheese in it, thats it. Milk, Salt, etc. needed to be refilled by actively engaging with the staff 5. The location is really far away from everything, but this is not serious as it can be considered. One night is okay, but there is not more around to be seen. Sunrise or Pattaya Beach has mu g more to offer.

KKateAndEmilAn average hotel with a tired renovation. The bathroom has an instantaneous water heater, but the water is always cold. The toilet leaked when flushed. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed. I recommend contacting the hotel in advance so they can meet you at the pier to take your luggage.

GGuest UserThe hotel was chosen based on its relatively low price and location. The hotel has seen a lot in its time: a padlock on the front door, cracks in the floor, sockets that are extremely loose, unobtrusive service. However, enough of the negative. Quite good breakfasts, proximity to the sea, good attitude of the staff level out the negative. Try it!
