"Excellent location in Ollanataytembo. About a 5 minute walk from the main plaza and 15 minutes from the train station. The route to the hotel is along a narrow, stone, bumpy path so taxis or colectivos will drop you at the main plaza and you will have to walk the rest of the way. Check in and out was straightforward and the hosts were lovely people. Breakfast was basic but the orange juice and fruit were fresh and tasty! Room itself was very warm with a veranda looking towards the mountains. Bed very comfortable with extra blankets. Bathroom was a bit small but the shower was good after a long day of hiking. Would recommend and would definitely stay again!"

"Hotel that I want to stay again. Olyantai Tambo is a small and beautiful town with small scenery and air. The staff is very kind and gives advice on how to get a railroad ticket in English. It was very helpful and the cleanliness of the room I felt very grateful for breakfast, coffee, bread, scrambled eggs, potatoes, freshly squeezed juice, etc ^ ^"

GGuest UserDoesn’t meet Belmond expectations. 1. Food is average, the same we had in a small village, change a chef, not tasty at all. 2. On a breakfast waiters ALWAYS bring fruits and after 5 min asking if I need them. Why on earth I should eat fruits in 5 min? And why do you need it? Quality and variety of breakfast is not nice — all days we had not fresh blueberries. In my home country I have blueberries from Peru and it’s fresher. How it is possible? 3. Welcome is not in Belmond style: no champagne or good chocolate. 4. One day we asked to clean the room before 12, they did, we came and I was sure we are alone in the room. When I was naked I saw a gardener in our private terrace. He also saw me. How it’s possible he entered our terrace when I was in the room????? With no bell and knocking???? 5. Alpacas feeding is also trash: all people from hotel come, you will never get nice pictures like on instagram. Why you don’t make it by appointment? We had a lot of experiences with animals in different countries , this one is the worst. 6. Stuff is not well trained, communication is super artificial. Place is beautiful, but that’s it. Worst Belmond we have been to. Ask Monasterio Belmond about good experience and top notch service.

GGuest UserBesides the location (5mins walk from train and restaurant’s) and quality of the rooms, the reason this is getting a 5 star review from me and my mates was the customer service. The people working at the hotel - in particular Nathale and William - were absolutely wonderful. Probably the best customer service I’ve ever received (I mean this literally). They went above and beyond to answer all our questions and helped us navigate train suspensions and protests (even offered us showers and a place to rest after climbing Machu Picchu, post check out). They didn’t just respond to needs, they assessed and identified what would make us more comfortable and they delivered it proactively.

SSham LatiffThis is a lovely hotel very near to the train station with lots of restaurants next to it. Its also very conveniently to go to the bus station up to the citadel. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. They even helped us get a really good guide for our visit to the incan city. Highly recommended

Nn a g iI stayed to climb Machu Picchu. The access was good and the bus stop to Machu Picchu was very close. The breakfast time was relatively early and I had to get up early, but it was delicious. Since there is no screen door, it is recommended to be careful not to let insects come in when opening the window, or to look outside without opening. I was grateful that the restaurant in the series was discounted.

LLIWENThank you for choosing a hotel. This hotel will surely surprise you! The location is excellent, three to five minutes walk from the train station and bus station. The surrounding area is full of restaurants and canteens. As soon as you enter the hotel room, you will smell a warm fragrance, which is very hygienic, convenient, and comfortable. The service is superb. Peruvians are kind, simple, and helpful. Those who gave such bad reviews are very curious to me. In fact, you should also pay attention to being kind and open-minded when you are away. When you are at peace, you will feel comfortable with everyone. Definitely recommend this hotel!

GGuest Userhonestly such a dilemma to review! It's near the train to Machu so that's awesome! Also they helped us pack a super nice breakfast with water and we are so thankful! However the room was infested with insects and I got a shock of my life!! Like a lot of flying insects and we couldn't do anything about it. The people are nice too and price so reasonable! So it's really dilemma to review !

WWoutnlWe had a nice short stay in NaturaLodge and will remembering this place by its enormous and comfortable bed! It compensated the music that was on 24/7 at some neighbor-hotel. Sometimes it was hard to find somebody who could help us at the desk, or there was only a kid behind the desk. But overall our stay was good and a nice location, close to the busses leaving to Machu Picchu.

GGuest UserClose to the station and convenient. Hot water comes out. They keep your luggage during the day. We were in the room on the 5 floor (there seems to be still a room above), but there is no elevator. The windows were not tight, so I could hear the sound of the railroad at night. We didn't care, but delicate people may be careful.
