Great value for money!"

IIan LagacLocation is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious.
Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready.
Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait.
Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating.
Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool.
Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people.
Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.

CCJ12A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen.
We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed.
Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel.
All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

ZZaijianlebeibeiSuper convenient downtown location, close to everything! It's also not far from the beach, where you can watch the mini train. The room was really clean, and for the price in a city center, it's a great deal. I arrived exhausted at 1 AM after my flight, rushed a taxi to the hotel, and the owner was actually waiting for me! Seeing me, a woman with lots of luggage, he immediately helped me and offered me a cold bottle of water. I was so touched! He took me to my room and set up the Wi-Fi for me. It might be a tourist city, so perhaps they encourage bringing your own slippers for environmental reasons. (Definitely take some beautiful photos of this city, and experience the Ghibli movie vibe by riding the mini train!)

GGuest UserThis was my second stay here, and the hotel's location is fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere. The staff are incredibly friendly, especially Sunny, who was very helpful. The king room was a bit smaller than the family room, but it had a better layout. My only minor complaints are that the AC blows directly onto the head of the bed, making it a bit cold. Also, even though the sheets were fresh, I think there might have been some dust or something, as I had a slight allergic reaction on the first night. If you're prone to allergies, you might want to bring your own small bedsheet just to be safe.

CChironTThe place is good for the price. The location is very close to the beach and restaurants, has a nice garden and pool, with lots of common areas to hang out in. The bed was comfortable and room decent with a nice balcony. They seem to only focus on cleaning the basics. I wish they’d clean a little bit deeper, and fix a couple of things because the place could be quite nice. There are some bugs - to be expected in a tropical, budget place but not too bad. Mainly there was lots of ants in the bathroom, and the walls aren’t properly sealed so it’s easy for the ants to get in. If they just did some very basic repairs, renovation and deep cleaning the place would be great. I’d still say it was good value for the location and I would stay there again if passing through Colombo.

+ The apartment is large and spacious;
+ The rooms and bed linen are clean;
+ The bathroom is clean;
+ The room was cleaned well, towels were changed every day (I left a tip);
+ Hair dryer, air conditioner, iron work well;
+ There are dishes, appliances, and a washing machine in the kitchen;
- There is no frying pan and no pots. It is impossible to cook on the stove, there is no microwave.
- The furniture in the living room has an unpleasant smell and is dirty;
- The iron board is dirty;
- The curtains need to be changed;

+ The quality of the products is high;
+ Variety of dishes;
+ The chefs are great;
- There are a lot of guests on Saturday and Sunday due to the holidays, the priority for hotel guests is falling;

SSaneehI had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean – it felt like stepping into a brand-new space. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind after a long day.
What really stood out was the service. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. Even after I checked out at 12:00 PM, they kindly allowed me to leave my luggage at the hotel until my airport transfer – a thoughtful gesture that made my travel day so much easier.
