Right outside the hotel, there's a railway track and piles of garbage. The ground floor pool is abandoned and being repainted, emitting a pungent smell. The ground floor restaurant is also abandoned, with its door rotting away. There are no shops or businesses nearby. The closest supermarket is about 1km away. I do not recommend this place.

This hotel is mainly populated by Indian guests and is located near the beach. The music noise goes on until midnight. The facilities are very old, and the breakfast is almost entirely Indian cuisine, feeling more like leftovers for us. The price does not match the quality. I strongly advise against Chinese nationals staying here.

Berjaya Hotel is a grand entrance. Feels like premium hotel and is best for the people who want to explore the beach. The view from the hotel was very serene, waking up to the sight of beach is amazing. The train passes by every few minutes which might be a nuance if you like absolute quiet environments. There are restraunts and bars nearby on the beach which is a 2 minutes walk from the hotel. It was strange to find a lack of amenities in the room like toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. I had a walk a couple of kilometres to find a shop to buy slippers before I could take a shower and relax after a long flight. The staff was very helpful during the checkin and checkout process helping me carry my luggage even at 4am in the morning. The complimentary breakfast was also delightfully diverse with a mix of Desi, Continental and Srilankan dishes. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I hope the hotel management can add to the amenities so the international travellers can have a more comfortable stay.

Everything was awful! Except for the location, which was close to the ocean. The rooms were old, and there were moths flying around.

Great beach side location, lovely pool area. Nothing is too much trouble for staff. I would recommend it completely. Dave
