When you yearn for a different lifestyle but not ready to commit yourself to changes? For me, traveling is a way to get a sneak peek into “what would it be”, even if just for a moment. I feel incredibly fortunate to have come across Several Mountain Houses, and I’m grateful for the owners’ generosity in creating such a beautiful place and sharing their mountain life with guests.   Many guests have already praised the lovely courtyard, the nature-surrounded rooms, the sensorial bed linens, and the warm, earthy aesthetic of the space. I wholeheartedly agree. Beyond that, there was something even more special. I was wowed by the tidy kitchen, thoughtfully designed and completed with high-quality appliances and tableware. It’s a place that move your mind from “I’m staying in a B&B” to “I’m staying in a home.” The cherry on top? Having the owner made you a perfect cup of latte or cappuccino in the morning. Of all my travels in China, this is the first homestay where I’ve experienced that personal touch.   We arrived by Didi and had to drop off by the roadside, cross a wooden bridge, and then tackle a steep hill path.  We called for help and the owner came down to meet us and made sure we felt welcomed. My friend told me she felt like we had stepped into a scene from a web novel—the little challenge at the start, the homey atmosphere, the owners and their charming “career life to mountain life” story all made the experience very special.   I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful mountain retreat. It's the perfect spot to unwind and reset.    A small tip: if you're in the mood for trekking, head up to the Wulong Gorge scenic area and work your way back. If we had known, we would totally skip Baiyun (White Cloud) temple / village and spend more time relaxing at the house.

Qingcheng Mountain Girls' Trip🍃 I'd repeatedly book this healing B&B! Escaping the bustling city of Chengdu with my bestie for a weekend, we came to Qingcheng Mountain to breathe in the fresh air and unwind – it was incredibly therapeutic! We stumbled upon the hidden gem, Hegushanju, which offers an all-inclusive experience for dining, accommodation, and activities, meaning absolutely no planning was needed.✨ The B&B is nestled in a tranquil mountain forest and bamboo sea, fully immersing you in a Zen atmosphere! Besides the private hot tub on each room's super private balcony ♨️, there's also a stunning outdoor mountain pool. The water is crystal clear, surrounded by lush greenery, making it perfect for photoshoots. Playing in the water and strolling with my bestie was incredibly enjoyable! The evening healing experience was a huge plus! Every night at 8 PM, there's a singing bowl and candlelit meditation, offering an immersive way to de-stress and calm the mind. It truly healed all my work-related anxieties; the experience was fantastic. The second day's itinerary was relaxed yet fulfilling! From 8:30 to 10:00 AM, there's an incredibly rich buffet breakfast with everything from *chaoshou* (wontons), noodles, to whole grain porridges. We ate until we were full and energized. During the day, you can join a group hike in the mountain forest to embrace nature, or quietly copy scriptures and paint mandalas at the Suwen Academy, slowly savoring the holiday time. The location is excellent, especially waking up to a view of lush greenery from bed. I have to particularly highlight their Chinese food, which was delicious. We ate three dinners in the ancient town. Our first was here. For our second, my husband insisted on trying a highly-rated place he found online, but... not a single dish was good. So, for our third dinner, we came back here. We had the cured meat platter three times, it was especially good here, and the 'fish擺擺' (a local fish dish) was also tasty. We just didn't get around to trying the hot pot, so we'll have to come back for that next time. **Facilities:** Pretty good, with smart toilets and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. **Hygiene:** Considered quite good for a guesthouse. **Environment:** The location is superb, and the atmosphere both upstairs and downstairs is great. Kids can play in the small river, and if adults don't want to be in the sun, they can have tea at the bar on the ground floor. Sitting at the bar in the evening is very pleasant, and the prices are reasonable. **Service:** Excellent! The owner contacted us in advance. When we arrived, someone specially helped park our car, and when it was time to leave, we just let them know and they brought the car back out. It's perfect for lazy people, haha, no need to walk far for parking or be out in the sun.

The room was very tidy; it's a shame I didn't get any photos because my little one immediately ran to the tent ⛺️. There's a buffet breakfast every morning, which I think ends before 10 AM – not very friendly for late risers like me! 🥳 There's also afternoon tea 🫖 every day. (Just a side note: since our child is quite young, we had both lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant every day), and the food was really delicious. There's also a play area for children on the first floor, and you can even get game tokens from the front desk! (Our child was too young, so mom and dad played for him). On the day we checked in, the lady at the front desk gave our baby a mosquito repellent bracelet, which we absolutely loved. All I can say is: we'll meet again soon! (literally: 'Mountains and rivers will meet, we'll see each other again.')

Every summer, I come to Mount Qingcheng, and I've pretty much stayed at all the famous hotels and guesthouses here, with Six Senses being the only one left. So I decided to stay for a night. The reason I waited so long to try Six Senses is because of the mixed reviews online – some praise it to the heavens, others tear it down, making me hesitant to spend money unnecessarily. However, since I've practically stayed everywhere else, I finally gave in to the urge to check out Six Senses! Let me start with the conclusion: the experience was truly disappointing, even a huge letdown! Why? First, its location right next to the Qingcheng Mountain High-Speed Rail Station means there's no sense of secluded retreat at all, which completely undermines the Six Senses brand's reputation for seclusion. Upon entering, it felt hot and stuffy everywhere, not cool at all. This is because the vegetation around the hotel is too sparse, and the trees aren't lush, causing the ground to be scorched. It felt like I had entered a farmhouse guesthouse in Qingcheng Mountain town, completely lacking the ethereal charm of Mount Qingcheng. Moreover, the hotel doesn't have large water features, further diminishing any sense of vibrancy! To put it bluntly, it's not even as good as the adjacent Howard Johnson Qingcheng, which has an earthy charm that makes you feel refreshed and peaceful as soon as you enter. Furthermore, the overall design of the hotel is terribly poor; it's a maze with no clear hierarchy or aesthetic appeal. The room design is even worse, truly embodying the 'upscale farmhouse' aesthetic – neither ancient nor modern, neither rustic nor sophisticated. The interior space of the room is partitioned into small compartments, the lighting is dim, and the balcony is incredibly tiny and mosquito-ridden, making it impossible to relax and enjoy a vacation! The flow within the room is chaotic; the minibar and fridge are placed next to the bed, and when you want to turn off the lights for sleep, you can't find the switch, having to get up and go to the sofa to turn it off. The fan is impossible to turn off easily, and there are hardly any power outlets for phones and laptops! I don't know which designer came up with this anti-human design; it's as if they deliberately made guests uncomfortable! What's even more ridiculous is that the king room and garden room are designed with one above the other, making it easy to see people downstairs from upstairs! Is this to make it convenient for neighbors to visit? It's so 'down-to-earth' that it feels like living in a residential complex! Where's the vacation feeling in that? In short, the stay was very unpleasant. The room wasn't spacious enough, nor was it cozy! You couldn't comfortably lie down or sit up! The room design of Six Senses lacks the grandeur of Qingcheng Songpin, the style of Zuowang Senlin, the ethereal quality of Qingxia Shanju, and the层次感 (sense of layering) of Qingcheng Mountain Resort! However, Six Senses does have its merits, primarily its excellent service. Before check-in, they call to confirm, and after check-in, a butler contacts you, sending various reminders throughout your stay and assisting with booking complimentary services within the hotel. If anything is needed in the room, just ask, and it's delivered immediately. This aspect was quite satisfactory; the service can be said to be the best among all hotels in Qingcheng Mountain, and this alone lives up to the Six Senses brand. Also, the breakfast variety is quite rich and of good quality; the yogurt is homemade by the hotel, and the cherry tomatoes are homegrown. The only inconvenience is having to run up and down between floors in the restaurant to get food! To summarize, Six Senses is worth at most 1,000 yuan per night. Such a high room rate is simply overpriced and a rip-off. Staying there a second time would be a complete waste of money!

The hosts were incredibly kind and even gave us a ride to the Qingcheng Mountain entrance and the Qingcheng Railway Station. If you’re planning to hike up Qingcheng Mountain, I totally recommend staying here. 1.The room was super spacious and looked just like the pictures. Everything felt fresh, clean, and super comfy. 2.The bed was really soft, and all the amenities were modern and well thought out. 3.The staff were friendly, helpful, and just really lovely overall. 4.Great location – close to Qingcheng Station and the mountain. 5.Breakfast is included, but sadly we woke up too late to try ๆit. Next time for sure! We did have lunch there though, and it was delicious. 6.Honestly, everything was great. Totally worth every penny.

Facilities: The hotel and room facilities are quite old, and the walls are severely waterlogged due to years of rain. Cleanliness: The hotel is mediocre, with some mosquitoes and insects hanging around corners, and the bedding has a damp smell. Environment: Sitting on the balcony or in the lobby bar, you can see the lush mountains in the distance. The air is especially fresh after the rain, and the mist is shrouded in clouds, creating a very picturesque atmosphere. Service: The hotel staff will do their best to provide services upon request, so it's generally acceptable.

Went during a low season. The hotel was virtually empty except for us, but the staff remained professional. The rooms were a slight letdown on a few points - BUT overall it was extremely enjoyable and downright luxurious in other areas. Overall, a definite recommend. We had a great stay and a great time. Amazing - it's a working tea farm. We woke early to pluck tea leaves for the experience (free but worth 68 yuan) and if you collect enough you can take it to the tea master to then experience frying the tea in a wok to turn the fresh leaves into dry green tea. The tea sachets in the rooms are made by the hotel themselves and taste great. More free experiences are included with the stay, including tea brewing classes and wearing hanfu. I thought it to be incredibly value for money. The private onsen is great and came with a homemade herbal pouch to throw in for a medicinal bath. The rooms are spacious with an excellent view - and I MUST commend the incredible number of light switches which let you have any combination of light ambience. Minor letdowns - mosquitoes will come to you at the alfresco area during mealtimes, I would sit indoors next time. We also had to run the shower for a long while before hot water could come out. The charging sockets are a little iffy with lots of dust in the sockets and some outlets might not be working depending on your luck. The standard sockets mostly work but USB sockets might not. The smart W/C is also slightly malfunctioning but largely works as intended.

The service here is warm, personable, and thoughtful, with a great sense of occasion. They offer a rich variety of fun activities and experiences. The breakfast is delicious and unique, and the architecture is beautifully designed, perfect for photos. The air and water quality in Qingcheng Mountain are excellent, and the private hot springs are incredibly relaxing.

1. The hotel's external facilities are nice, with a small swimming pool and a relaxation area. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, and the pool water was still quite cold at the end of August, so I didn't go in. 2. The hotel rooms are simply styled, but still a bit cramped, especially the bathroom. 3. On rainy days, the local government, considering safety issues on the mountain, may suddenly close roads, which will prevent you from returning to the hotel after going out. Please confirm this with the hotel before booking, and be aware of any subsequent solutions and potential financial losses. Note: Rainfall is frequent in the Qingcheng Mountain area. I don't know at what rainfall level will trigger road closures. That night I received a yellow heavy rain warning, but the rainfall was very light for the first half of the night, and most of the time it was just drizzle or no rain at all.
