Welcomed with dirty pillow covers, used bedsheets and smelly pillows. Bill given for 2009 bucks but ₹3000 charged on silly pretexts. Hotel staff was nice and polite. Compassion for the guests and hospitality missing in the hosts. Same breakfast served for two days.

It was a good experience staying at Treebo trend Jp Cottage hotel. Very nice ambiance, pool side. The front desk staff of the hotel were very humble and cooperative. The room was neat and clean. Services provided were up to the mark. on time and with great efficiency. Very hardworking person.

JP Cottage, Mahabaleshwar: A Detailed Review 1. Location JP Cottage is conveniently located within walking distance of the popular Lingmala Waterfall, making it an attractive option for tourists. However, the proximity to this tourist hotspot becomes a drawback due to the heavy traffic, especially during holidays and weekends. Leaving the hotel after 10 AM can lead to significant delays, which might be frustrating for those on a tight schedule. 2. Included Breakfast The breakfast service has a strict timing from 9 to 11 AM. While this is understandable for operational efficiency, the management’s approach to latecomers is shockingly poor. Guests are informed that the food has been discarded if they miss the window—an unacceptable practice in the hospitality industry. Such rigidity and lack of understanding leave a bad impression. 3. Staff The staff members are surprisingly helpful and courteous. They go above and beyond, assisting with errands like fetching cigarettes or alcohol from the market and even washing vehicles for a nominal fee of ₹150. Unfortunately, the manager, Kiran, is the complete opposite. His unprofessional behavior, constant complaints, and unnecessary restrictions (e.g., not allowing food in rooms and threatening fines for spills) tarnish the overall experience. Dealing with him is more of a nuisance than a service. 4. Restaurant Food The quality of food served at the in-house restaurant is disappointing. They use palm oil instead of higher-quality alternatives, and even basic items like butter and bread are subpar (e.g., imitation butter and stale bread). The included breakfast is particularly unappealing, with diluted juice resembling powdered drinks like Rasna and tea tasting like sugared boiling water. The meals are not worth the price or the trouble. 5. Car Parking The hotel’s location in a narrow area creates serious parking challenges. The parking space is poorly designed and extremely cramped. On one occasion, my car was stuck for 45 minutes, as other vehicles needed to be moved first. This issue makes it inconvenient for guests traveling with their own vehicles. 6. Value for Money JP Cottage is listed under the Treebo banner, which usually ensures a certain standard of quality. Unfortunately, this property falls far below expectations. Despite the relatively high charges, the services, amenities, and overall experience do not justify the cost. Final Verdict While JP Cottage has a good location and some commendable staff members, the overall experience is ruined by poor food quality, parking issues, and the unprofessional behavior of the manager. It might be suitable for a short stay for its proximity to Lingmala Waterfall, but for the price charged, it’s not worth it. Rating: 2/5 Would I recommend it? Only as a last resort.

We had a really nice experience at hotel. Instead booking online we called the hotel directly and got nice discount. Restaurant food and service is really nice, staff is polite and well behaved. I will strongly recommend this hotel, this is 10-15 mins away from mahabaleshwar market.

Very nice place to stay...Staff are very nice and polite..Specially Dilip. Rooms are very nice.... big...clean...24 hours hot water. There is no complaints about this hotel..it's worth staying. Everything is close by..eatery joints are just walking distance.

Nice spacious room with an amazing view of the pool and greenery behind it from a spacious balcony. Never felt an issue of hot water for bath which is a big plus! The staff was super courteous and the breakfast was delectable although, a few more options would have been a welcome. Would love to visit again.

Comfortable stay clean and well maintained property location is also good. Ample parking for car. Breakfast menu could be improved. I had order veg schezwan rice from the restro which was very delicious. Swimming pool is small but well maintained and cleaned regularly. They also have a gaming room

It was very pleasant and cleaned rooms as per the requirement. We felt very refreshed after getting into the room. Only the thing was it has power issue as per I observed, even though it has power backups. I ll recommend this stay with your family, friends.

One of the best restaurant in mahabaleshwar for veg and nonveg food, also the staff of restaurant is very polite, and specially Mr kiran Bawalekar is very cool person. All over everything is neat and clean and hygienic. So एक व्हिसिट तो बनती हैं...

Property was in great location, Beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff and friendly receptionist. Room was clean and with great view ...Food was good and great value for money. Breakfast was really good. And comfortable stay i love it and sure will go again.
