The room is very old, with poor soundproofing. People walking upstairs and talking next door can be clearly heard. Charging is done with an extension cord. There is no air conditioning, only a fan. There is no toilet or shower. Dinner and breakfast are also perfunctory and crowded. The staff do not greet guests when they see them.

The sour soup is so good. I stayed for two nights and had a great breakfast and dinner. I will definitely go there again next time! Like 👍

The hot spring area is too small and the rooms are very thin. The elevator is also broken and you have to carry your luggage upstairs. Food is average

The reserved room did not have a private bathroom, so I spent 7,000 yen at the front desk to upgrade to a room with a private bathroom. The quality of breakfast and dinner is also inferior to that of the nearby Jokura Hotel. All in all, apart from maintaining the traditional hot spring culture, Suantang Hot Spring really has nothing to attract people.

It was a very nice, traditional atmosphere. The facilities are a little old, but they have been thoughtfully renovated.

The hotel has convenient transportation, but due to its long history, it is still a bit old, but it is quite clean. There is no elevator, but the staff is very enthusiastic. There was something wrong with the door lock when we checked in, and they immediately helped us change to a new room~

The large public bath is a mixed bath, but if you go according to women's time or bathe in the girls' area, you don't need to wear a yukata.

I stayed here on the fourth day of my 9-day, 8-night trip to Tohoku's hot springs. The main purpose was, of course, the Senninburo bath, but I was also attracted to the Sukayu Onsen Ryokan, located on a plateau on the way to Mt. Hakkoda, which is filled with the atmosphere of a hot spring resort. When I passed by here before, I was eager to stay there next time. The Senninburo is a mixed-gender bath, but there are times when it is only for women, and there is a partition so my husband and I could bathe together.

The 1000-man bath was really emotional and nice. The water is a little lukewarm so you can soak in it slowly. However, due to the steam, visibility was poor and I felt it could be dangerous if I wasn't careful about my step. The shower in the men's bath turned to water halfway through. All the employees were kind, but the young man at the front desk seemed a little blunt.

I don't really like hot springs, but this time I went to some hot springs in Tohoku and I like them a little more. The Hiba 1,000-person bath here is very large, and the atmosphere created by the Hiba tree is so wonderful that it feels like you are in an old movie.

I came last year around the same time. Last year it was a day trip bath, but this time we stayed. After all, it is a Hiba 1000 person bath. It's a strong acid bath, so if it gets in your eyes, it's tingling. The quality of the hot spring is very good, and the amount of hot water is abundant, so it is irresistible for hot spring lovers. However, the lodging facility has a shared toilet in the shared washroom, so it was a little troublesome to use the toilet at night. The corridor creaks when people pass by. However, the hot springs are even better. Highly recommended.
