Room and breakfast was ok, but the shower was full with black mold and the equipment for changing to the top shower was not there anymore

Service was excellent. Front desk assisted to get a taxi on a rainy day. Breakfast was enjoyable with orange juice, tomatoes, chives vegetable mixed with meat slices, soya bean juice, fried rice, and other options in a buffet style setting. Managed to get a room without a strong smell of cigarettes. Best of all is the washer and dryer facilities (four machines) in a shared room on the fifth storey. Managed to get laundry done with a 15 minute quick wash and 3 hour drying duration. Hotel is a short walk away (5 minutes or less) from a new large shopping centre. Hotel is a short taxi ride away (about 15 minutes) from Anqing’s high speed railway station.

Location was good, nearby to a big plaza. Cleanliness is still acceptable in the room. Service from the staff was great and helpful. Facilities are poor, you have to do your own laundry service (if you do not have time for example you need to goto work or walk around the city then no one will do it for you.), only self service laundry which I do not like. Breakfast was just okay but I can say poor as well. Foods are the same everyday (if you stay more than 1 day, you will not want to eat it after your second or third days). I was eating western style, no knife and folk for me even upon request. How do you apply butter on breads if there is no knife? Coffee was bad. The hotel lift is old, looks terrible but working. And payment was terrible, not accepting international credit cards and expecting foreigners to bring enough cash? Overall, if you are not too demanding then you can stay. For me, well... you know what is my answer.

The family room I booked had dirty dolls that hadn't been cleaned. The front desk service was good, but the soundproofing was poor. The surrounding area was too noisy, affecting my rest.

I booked an executive family suite at Kaiyuan Hotel, and the room layout and design are really hard to describe. There is no place to put clothes in the shower room. The distance between the toilet and the door requires caution. If you are not careful, you will hit your head on the door handle. The toilet paper is on the side and back, which is difficult to reach. The shower room and the toilet share a sliding door, which means that if two people, one taking a shower and the other going to the toilet, one of them has to leave the door open. The most complaining thing is that the supplies in the room were not replaced. The opened disposable toothpaste was dry and clumped. The disposable utensils were not replaced. It is hard not to doubt whether the bed sheets and other items were changed.

We booked a deluxe twin room and arrived early at 12 o'clock. A receptionist said the room was not ready yet and we had to wait. Another receptionist came and said yes, there was a room. Then I went into the room and compared it with the picture on the Internet. I'll give you a superior twin bed. We went to the front desk to argue, and they said that since we were in a hurry, they gave us the room first. Speechless, I have never seen a room type adjustment, and it was downgraded. And there was no notification at all. Spend more money and live in a worse room?

I passed through Anqing on a self-driving tour and booked the Kaiyuan Hotel on Ctrip. It looked like it shouldn’t be too bad judging by the pictures. In fact, it is a hotel with old facilities, especially the bathroom and shower room. The hand-held shower head is broken and you can only use the overhead spray if you want to take a shower. The toilet and shower room share half a door. I wonder if it would be awkward for other people living there, but since we're a couple it doesn't matter to us. However, there are no odor-proof floor drains in these two rooms. There is only a baffle covering the sewer. It was windy outside at the time, and the stench was so bad that it was suffocating. The door was only half closed and couldn't be completely closed. Because I came back too late and was very tired after going out that night, I didn't ask the front desk to change rooms. I smelled the stench all night and checked out at dawn the next day. To be honest, the breakfast was ok. The female supervisor at the front desk was proactive in handling issues with a good attitude. However, the female waitress at the front desk was much less knowledgeable. She told me that it would be like this when it was windy. I was speechless. Could it be that the hotel knew that it would stink when it was windy and still served the food to people? Was it intentional? I have driven all the way north and south and stayed in countless hotels, but this one has the stinkiest bathroom. Be careful when choosing this hotel.

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my 20 years of work, no doubt about it! First of all, the hardware facilities in the room feel like a family hotel! Secondly, the hotel door is not soundproof at all, it's like two boards put together. On the first night I stayed there, the loud noises from the neighbors across the street made it impossible to rest. There was also the sound of a little boy banging on the door violently at 11 o'clock in the evening for more than ten minutes, making it impossible to fall asleep. I have never met such a weird family! Again, after changing rooms on the second night, the toilet was blocked first, and then the door shared by the toilet and shower room could not be opened. I was trapped in the toilet and couldn't get out. I had to ask my family to call the front desk, and a security guard was sent. He could only rescue me first, but he couldn't fix the door. I was really drunk... Finally, I would like to give a thumbs up to the lady at the front desk. When we were sitting at the front desk waiting for the car, the lady took the initiative to pour water and bring it to each guest! In particular, we would like to thank Xiao Zhu for introducing us to many delicious and fun things in Anqing, which made us have a great time! So I give 4 stars for the service, otherwise I would give it 0 points! It’s so weird!

He also enthusiastically introduced the local food of Anqing. It is a very attentive store. Not to mention the facilities of the hotel, it is very good!
