This place is paradise. From the moment we arrived, the resort’s staff welcomed us with genuine warmth, making us feel instantly at ease in this tropical paradise. The overwater villa was a dream—spacious, elegantly designed, and offering direct access to the crystal - clear sea water. I love the food those chef cooked, especially the lobster barbecue. And thanks Fauzaan for upgrading our room, that is unexpected. In short, it Ian’s just a place to stay—it’s a gateway to experiencing the very best of the Maldives. 😌🥰

Paradise island

It's really beautiful. The beach is very clean, soft and delicate. The sea is very transparent Tiffany blue. The butler on the island is Sam. He is very nice and always serves us patiently. Ctrip's service is also very good!

The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms and everything. The only problem is that it is far from Male airport. This resulted in a very late arrival at the island on the first day (6pm). We left very early on the last day (1pm) and had only 10 minutes for lunch on the last day because we had to wait for the seaplane in advance. Also, the seaplane is very expensive.

From the first moment we arrived, everything was really well organised. At the airport someone was already waiting for us and brought us to the hotel's private lounge. We could fresh up, have some drinks & snacks and check-in was already done there which was super convenient. The Beach Villa was perfect for us - very private and peaceful, with a garden, our own little pool and view to the ocean (and sunsets). Everything was clean, and the bathroom was huge - almost like another room. The outdoor shower there was my personal highlight!:) The bed felt too hard in the first nights, but after I mentioned it, they brought a mattress topper, and then it was totally fine. The room was overall super quiet and comfy, only the aircon made some sound (but we just turned it off when bothered). We stayed on sunset side - really amazing views every evening. The sea was somedays a bit more wild there. If you wanna snorkel, the sunrise side might be better - more reef and usually calmer. Service was just great all the time. Our room boy MD Sohel made nice bed decorations with palm leaves! At the restaurants we always felt very welcomed - big thanks to Vijay! And also Muna, Abhi and Matey! Namal made us the best salad ever. Also, our Ambassador Sharyaan checked on us and made sure all was good. The buffet had so many options - I sometimes couldn't even choose. Always fresh and refilled fast. We also really loved the Grouper Grill (á la carte). We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for something relaxing and a bit of luxury!

We had a wonderful experience with Sun siyam Iru veli resorts. What made our stay and trip special was, attention to detailing and personalised service. Shuhaan from the reception team was appointed to us. Shuhaan gave us a warm welcome, made sure our check in was fast, smooth and hassel free. He planned our itenary to accommodate water activities, spa and much more. A special chef special menu curated for us, both veg and non veg was personalised to our liking. Cherry on the cake was, Shuhaan planned a special sunset set up with cake cutting for our anniversary celebration and made it truly special. He also planned a special floating breakfast in our overwater villa for my husband's birthday the next day. Truly we had a relaxing and amazing experience.

The service of Adam is very good and kind. He almost can match our each inquires. The view of the room is very good, especially for sunrise.

Travelled here on 19th February 2025 from the UK. 10hr direct flight from Heathrow. Malé airport is small and not modern so don’t expect much however a new terminal is opening this year. The sea plane transfer for this hotel was our option, it’s not straightforward to find what to do or where to go at first especially after a long night flight so don’t be afraid to ask someone. Bags checked in and off to the SunSyam World lounge to refresh and get a drink and snack before the flight. Cramped and hot in these sea planes but what do you expect, it’s certainly an experience and the best way to see the beauty of the Maldives by air as you fly to the hotel. You land close up on a small pontoon and a boat then picks you up and takes you on a small trip to the pier off the beach where you are greeted with drums and music and smiling faces. You get assigned an ambassador who takes care of you for your stay and they then check you in on the app and tell you all about your package and what is where and all the usual stuff while you sip on a refreshing cocktail and wipe your head with a cooling towel. Your bags then get taken to your room and we waited about 1hr for our room to be ready. Our room was a sea villa on the sun rise side. As sunsets around 18.00hrs at this time of year it seemed pointless to have a sunset room as we were sat at one of the bars at this time enjoying a drink and the sunset at the same time. The coral and fish are also better for snorkelling on the sunrise side! A lovey room with a huge bed and bathroom which in parts did look a little tired but you soon overlooked that when you saw the views and the pool outside. Again the decking out the back does need replacing but it didn’t take from any of the experience. What a great spot though for snorkelling and seeing black tip sharks from your lower deck, we also saw a ray and an eel. They are very private and while you see your neighbours snorkelling they would have to be very rude people to disturb your privacy so you shouldn’t worry about that. These water villas in my opinion are not child friendly so I’m shocked to see children in them. You can go and collect your free snorkel and flippers from the dive centre so to enjoy the sea. You can also book excursions from here to go and swim with whale sharks and turtles. Restaurants are thin on the ground, main one is a buffet style and the quality of food is fantastic! Freshly cooked meats and fish as well as a pasta station and some of the best noodle flavours you’ll have. Equally at breakfast you can have your eggs anyway you want and a glass of sparkling wine. All the staff are wonderful in here and take real good care of you. Just make sure you like sand as the restaurant is on the beach. Thankfully they have an adults only section too! The other restaurant is a Mediterranean one called Roma and does the most amazing Italian dishes really flavoursome and again they look after you really well. Only negative I can say is you

This was one of best experiences we have had while visiting a resort. We really enjoyed been here. All the staff were very polite and nice. Food was amazing too. Italian food taste like they are made in Italy. Truly amazing. Snorkeling experience was truly magical. Thank you for organizing a wonderful surprised birthday for my husband.

It was a 3 night stay.. and I wish I booked for more… Everything was just perfect from the reception at the international airport, to the welcoming staff once the seaplane arrived.. Mr. Naazish our attendant was absolutely amazing, taking care of us around the clock and always available online for any help. The facility is “clean” and the staff is always smiling and asking if you need any assistance. Friendly vibes are all over the place, and the families are everywhere with children having fun.. We have tried both beach villas and ocean villas and they were awesome.. The food is great.. Activities available “ dolphin watching cruise, Spa, water sports… and kids club” Absolutely coming back for a longer vacation next time..

We had an absolutely amazing time at Sun Siyam Iru Veli! Everything about this resort was perfect – from the stunning views to the peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. A special shoutout to Manager Chamil, whose hospitality and warm personality truly made a difference. He was always there to help and ensured we had everything we needed.
