Popular Agra 4-star Hotels

Like so many places around the world post Covid and in India… the rooms are old and literally falling apart in some respects. It’s walking distance to Taj Mahal. When you arrive at the gate on the way don’t listen to anyone trying to make you transfer onto a tuktuk or camel or whatever. You can walk from there if the person manning the gate refuses to let your taxi in. Or call the hotel to tell them to let you in. The guys at the front desk were extremely helpful and nice.

Transportation location: The hotel is only 5km away from Agra Airport and 1km away from Agra Railway Station. The location is not bad, but it is a bit away from the Taj Mahal and requires a tuk-tuk, which takes about 20 minutes. Overall impression: The hotel is an English-style building with a history of more than one hundred years. Before it can be seen, its owner should be a large local family. Nowadays, there are still many portraits of the owner’s photos as decorative paintings. The characters are dignified and well-dressed. It can be inferred that the person who can keep such clear photos in that era must be of extraordinary origin, probably a certain prince. The front desk service was very good. There was a welcome gift as soon as we arrived at the hotel. Our family of three each gave a bunch of wreaths on our necks, and we also put a red dot on the eyebrows, which is said to be a sign of luck. Guest room impression: The rooms are very local in style. From the bed to the dressing table, all the furniture is very old and old. The room is equipped with a TV and the bathroom is also very large. In addition, due to the large temperature difference between morning and evening, each room is also equipped With the oil heater, it is very warm. Public facilities: The hotel has an English garden with swings and lounge chairs in the garden. There is also a swimming pool in the backyard. The environment is good. You can see monkeys in the hotel. Catering services: The hotel restaurant is located on the first floor and provides all-weather catering services. Breakfast is fine. After lunch at the hotel, the price is more expensive, the serving speed is slow, and the taste is average, so it is not recommended. The hotel as a whole is very local. The staff is attentive and courteous. When we left, we also gave each of us a beautifully packaged candy. It is worth staying in Agra.

In total that was a great stay. Good: The bedroom and shower room are very spacious, there are several types of outfits are in the room which is useful, a good restaurant, an Ayurveda Spa experience, and very friendly staff who even speak a little bit of Japanese. They made me feel like this is a home. Bad: Sometimes poor wifi connection, but not that big issue

Everything was excellent and superb. Staff was also very supportive and dedicated towards his or her duties. The location is excellent because every visiting spot is nearby to the hotel. Food is very tasty and maintains the health and hygiene. Dealing with the visitor is heart touching.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. The room is water, teapot, two cups, two glasses. Bed linen is clean, towels are clean. We had a room after repair. The pool is not working. Overall staying normal. Breakfast is good.

I stayed for one night, but it was less than 5,000 yen, so it was the best value for money! I arrived at 22:00, and there was a party, so I could hear the loud background music from the room, but I think it ended around midnight. In front of the hotel, there was an ice cream cart and a cart selling snacks until late at night. I was alone, but the trees in the small park-like space in front of the hotel were lit up and it was always bright, so it didn't seem dangerous to hang around after 1:00. The road was difficult to cross because of the high traffic fees. There didn't seem to be any convenience stores nearby. There was a cafe. There were also a lot of stray dogs. It was displayed as a 16-minute walk to the Taj Mahal, but it was almost 40 degrees that day, so Uber was safe. You can also leave your luggage for free after checking out. The person at the tour desk was a little cold, but he didn't seem to be a hotel employee. The male staff and especially the doormen were very kind. They gave me water after I checked out, and when I had trouble with Uber, many staff members came and called me and helped me kindly. If I come to Agra again, I would definitely like to stay here. This price is really a good deal for this quality!

Overall experience was average. Food was ok, the upkeep of hotel interiors, lobby areas was not up to the mark. Looks like old property requiring renovation & regular cleaning.

A Wonderful Stay at Taj Villa, Agra I recently had the pleasure of staying at Taj Villa in Agra, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and great hospitality, making it an ideal choice for travelers visiting the Taj Mahal.

This place is very remote. There is nothing around. The hotel is clean. Breakfast is ok. 10-15 minutes drive to Taj Mahal.

Rooms were neat and clean. Very polite and helpful staff. Gala dinner was awesome with lot of variety. Thank you all the staff members
