Response from Property: Dear Guest, We sincerely apologize for any misunderstandings regarding our non-smoking policy. As a hotel, we aim to create an environment that feels comfortable and safe for all of our guests. To achieve this, we enforce certain policies, one of which includes a fee for smoking in non-smoking rooms. The 500 € charge is because Smooking in the Rooms requires special cleaning and do to the fact that we have to Block the Room that has been Smoked in, as the Smell still lingers and this might be unpleasant for the next Guest staying in the same Room. It appears there might have been a miscommunication about the charges incurred due to the violation of this policy. We understand that you might have been unaware of our policy as you are not familiar with local regulations, and we regret any inconvenience caused. For future stays, we would like to bring to your attention that all relevant policies are available on our website. We encourage all our guests to familiarize themselves with these to avoid any such unfortunate incidents. We hope this experience does not deter you from choosing our hotel in the future.
