This hotel was a typical Ibis, nothing too fancy and all the basics you need. Our major struggle with this hotel was with the heat. We knew traveling in August could be hot, so we were sure to book a hotel with air conditioning. While the thermostat indicated there should have been air conditioning (and they gave extra instructions to set the thermostat properly), we got no relief. Further, the windows barely opened, since we were on an upper floor. It was HOT and stuffy all night. The hallways were much cooler than our room. Had we been booked for more than a night, we would have left and found something else. I'm sure other times of the year are fine, but I think advertising functioning air conditioning is a mistake.

My boyfriend & I stayed here for 2 nights during our inter-railing trip. Upon arrival we were given 2 drink vouchers to enjoy at the bar which was very generous. Furthermore, the staff at reception went above and beyond for us. When we got to the next city as part of our trip I realised I had left something in the hotel which was of sentimental value to me. I emailed the hotel & Maros replied within 24 hours to let me know that they could post my item home that I had left behind. The kindness & willingness of the staff to provide this level of customer service was something I was very grateful for & something that has been somewhat lost to an extent in this modern age. Not only this, the hotel itself is lovely & the rooms are extremely spacious which suited us as we had a lot of luggage. Would definitely recommend a stay here whilst in Bratislava!

Visiting Bratislava for first time. Wedding anniversary so asked if any chance by email of an upgrade. Generously gave us an upgrade to a suite. Mrs T mightily impressed with the room and facilities. Staff all friendly. Breakfast brilliant with lots of choice. Interestingly bread and butter pudding which we think used yesterday croissants and pain a chocs. Absolutely delicious. Had a small issue with the bath tap. Reported and fixed while at breakfast. Fab service. Location very central with bus and tram stops nearby and can walk to old town in 10 mins. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Don’t be deceived by the photos! The only positive thing we can say about this hostel is the bar downstairs with the evening activities. The main entertainment man was lovely and very welcoming, whilst the other staff looked at us as if we had 10 heads most of the time. We were inter-railing and this was the worst hostel we had been in. Despite there being free washing use, which was great, the dryers were horrendous and left our clothes wet for ages, and boiling hot (untouchable) leaving our room almost as a laundrette. The hostel was at the end of an alley way, so didn’t feel particularly safe, as well as the doors to the room not being great(with force, you could probably barge the door down with body weight). The bedsheets were stained and bobbled and so were the pillows. The showers were small and gross, with hair bunged up around the plug hole. The beds also creaked like mad and the fan was something from the 90s which puffed out less than a breath of air! I would only recommend this hostel if you were desperate and in need of a central hostel in Bratislava- but wouldn’t recommend if you were looking for a safe, clean room!

This is truly a grand historical hotel almost on the scale of great hotels like the Plaza in New York and the Savoy in Paris, but for 1/10 the price. Great service and wonderful breakfast buffet. The best location with 95% of the restaurants and sights within a few blocks walking distance. If you can stay in the same rooms as Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, Arthur Rubinstein, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein, why would you stay anywhere else in Bratislava.

This is a serviced apartment very close to the city centre in Bratislava, and it was very reasonably priced. Please note it is not close to the train station (it's about half an hour walk if you want to try) but it's only a short hop away by tram. As it is quite close to the city centre, you can either go there for food or there are lots of restaurants nearby and some of them are quite good as well. The room was big, clean and bright. It has one big window, (mine was away from the street so it looks out to the back but the next building is still quite far away so there is still plenty of sunlight coming through). There is a kitchen and utensils (including a kettle if you want to make coffee or tea). The building has laundry machines that guests can use (I didn't need to use it but I think you do need to pay). The staff speaks very good English and friendly so they can be quite helpful if you have any questions. I didn't need to ask any as my stay here was faultless really. It would definitely be on my one of the choices of place to stay when I'm next in Bratislava. There are some things to note though. You probably won't be able to check in until after 2pm. I arrive early and had to wait for my room to be ready. They do have a luggage storage service free of charge though. I can't remember whether they have daily cleaning but I think they don't have daily cleaning from memory which is fine. I'm not a messy person by nature and I'm not that obsessed with hygiene so it wasn't an issue for me.

The epitome of Boutique hotel. Great location, breakfast buffet is extensive & staff are really friendly, especially front desk staff. Not certain about 5 star though as there’s no swimming pool but there’s a lovely terrace on 2 floor - take stairs or the elevator. It’s an easy walk around the old town and close to the Danube River. Make sure to go to the UFO tower for a 360 view of Bratislava for €9.90. There’s also a standout 5-star international fine dining restaurant. Take the well worth it ‘Panorama Tour’ for €20 & 90 minutes - book via hotel desk. WARNING - TAXI - I caught a taxi from the train station to the hotel & was charged €24, including a €20 train to hotel charge which was a scam. DO NOT take taxi at the train station - it’s actually an easy 10min walk. My fare should have been €3-5. I hope the ‘friendly’ driver rots in … Certainly put a dampener on my trip

The new and modern hotel with very warm rooms (you will appreciate in the colder days) in walking distance from national bank and 20 min walk from main train station.hotel offers parking for good price (during weekend there is a option to park on the street for free) and breakfast for 10-15 Eur. The staff is also very friendly.

One of the most intimate hotels in Eastern Europe. The eyebrows at the front desk are highly praised! The address is in the old town, and you will be surrounded by an assortment of restaurants and unique old town attractions. Hotel dinner is very good, not only the dining environment is wrong, the taste is very good, it is very recommended

I always get cynical about huge US hotel chains, and there are definitely some ‘rinse and repeat’ aspects but credit where credit is due - as a total *****ni fan, very few are made ‘right’ as defined by my palette (and yes, I get I sound like a pretentious #*$¥) - but this was great - mixed in a jug with ice to chill it perfectly before serving in a separate glass with a single oversize cube of ice. The heavy square glass base mirrored the ice to build the aesthetic but most importantly, with the obligatory twist of orange zest, the taste was sublime. €10.90 is a relative bargain for such an immersive experience.

everything was perfect, the staff was nice, I liked everything very much. in Bratislava we will only stay in this hotel.

The hotel was good, but it feels a bit overpriced as I booked even better one for the same price in Vienna, which is a contrast city in terms of the price. Gentleman at the reception was friendly. Bear in mind that the hotel will charge additional city tax when you move in. The hotel itself was more less clean, but the room was not spotlessly cleaned to be honest. I had some hair on the soap dispenser and some threads in the bath. The bed was a bit small and short, furniture was slightly damaged. The door had old post soviet style of faux leather Ron top and I was wondering why… I woke up at the middle of the night from the screams of the children that were so loud in the corridor for some reason. The sound insulation is not good at all there sadly and the fabric door did not really help. The hotel has nice authentic lobby which reminds a Soviet porch with Persian carpets. I booked 1 month in advance for 26th of December and paid $68, which I think is overpriced, considered the quality and space of the room. If it was cheaper, I’d have given more starts for this review. It is ok for one night if you just come and fall asleep. Hotel needs renovation.

The front desk service was very good. I also took the initiative to pour a glass of local Slovakian white wine. The iced taste is sweet and refreshing. There are a lot of small biscuits and juices and fruits in the lobby that you can enjoy for free at any time. Two heart-shaped chocolates are placed on the quilt in the room. It is very warm and thoughtful. Breakfast is not bad. Good sanitary conditions and spare parts are the most I have ever seen in Europe. The location is a bit far from the old town, but Bratislava is not too big and can be reached within 15 minutes on foot. In terms of its price, the overall value, the next time you come to Bratislava will book this hotel (.◝ᴗ◜.)

Our stay in this hotel bol veký podlamam. Izba, ktorú sme doli (number 202), mala nemytú vanu a veké škvrny na gauči. Fotografie nebyla odpověděla reality. Moreover, izba bola plin neobyčejný insect, ktorý jsme objavali za posteou, za gaučom a na poste. Moja priateka mala po celom tele viditené šapance. dalším nepříjemným prepůvod boli technické problémy. Kúč v kúpeni sa nedal pretočiť a nebolo možné zamykať dvere, rovnako ako prepnúť sprchu vo vani. Najviac však nás slama komunikacia s managementom. Na naše následné e-maily jsme nedostali odpověděd. This insufficient reaction and no interest in Riešnie problemov hostes is neprijatená. Bohužia, on the basis of our súsnosti this “hotel” neodporúčame nikomu, kto očekáva alespoň základnú úroveň čistoty a službách. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. Appartamento pulito, comodo, con tutti i comfort. Personale professionale, attento e gentile nonostante il problema della lingua. Lo consiglio. Inoltre la città è stupenda. Consigliatissimo. La struttura è vicino al centro storico della città.

Siamo arrivati lì, per una notte, con un pullman di una cinquantina di persone. La reception è molto piccola per cui diverse persone sono rimaste fuori con le valigie durante le operazioni di accettazione, per fortuna non pioveva. Ci hanno chiesto di essere puntuali per l'orario della cena ma la sala era veramente piccolissima e a malapena ci stavamo tutti. Cena a buffet passabile. Per la colazione del giorno dopo, sempre a buffet, abbastanza soddisfacente, ma essendoci altri ospiti dell'hotel, alcuni della nostra comitiva hanno dovuto fare colazione nei divanetti davanti alla reception. Un solo ascensore in cui stanno al max sei persone, tre se ci sono anche le valigie. Camere spaziose e pulite, così pure i bagni. Personale gentile.

The hotel is very new, the hygiene and service are in place, and the breakfast is also rich. It is in the city center and is worth recommending. .................

Me and my partner were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. There were numerous things either broken or missing in our room. When first arrived at the hotel we noticed that there was no toilet paper and the shower head was broken and not bracketed to the wall. We had to go down to reception and ask for toilet paper and get a replacement shower head which they took from another room. The shower head was only positioned one way so you had to hold it while using and the drain in the shower was also poor. A longer shower meant you was standing in 3 inches of water in the tray. The toilet was also very discoloured at the bottom and the sink was missing a water filter. There was also no hairdryer in the room so my partner had to go down to reception to ask for one. The room has a smoke detector but it was covered with tape , someone who had stayed in the room previously had clearly wanted to smoke. We told the receptionist but nothing was done. The fridge in the room was extremely loud and kept us awake at night. The beds were comfortable but they did not have proper mattresses on. They looked like cushions from a sofa or sunbed and the sheets covering the bed were not big enough. The housekeeper/cleaner never came to our room. She tried on two occasions but we were still sleeping. She didn’t knock when trying to enter or communicate with us. She didn’t come back later in the day or another time which meant that for 5 days we had no cleaner. Lastly the walls were so thin that we could hear the people next to us and all their conversations. I know there’s not much you can do about that but it meant that we had limited privacy.

The environmental price exceeded some of my expectations! The location is also good. The disadvantage is that you have to bring your own locker locks or buy them at the hostel.

Part of a group travel arrangement, i myself wouldn't book this Hotel, romms are old fashioned and need renovation urgently. The Hotel was totally booked out du to an event somewhere nearby, and the personal was very unfriendly. Reception fully overloaded with guests and several complaints about the rooms, Restaurant personal was unfriendly and opening times were not even close to the signs with the opening hours. Small rooms and especially bathrooms need renovation. AirCondition not working properly, not cleaned for weeks, if working at all. The only place with friendly service and good atmosphere was the Hotel Bar, very friendly personal, good and not too expansive drinks of any kind from fresh beer out of the tap to cocktails. As well outside nice to sit and have some drinks. At our next visit to Bratislava we'll maybe come for some Drinks but for overnight stay we choose another hotel.

I only write reviews when I get outstanding experience. I experienced the real sense of hospitality which lacks in general in Europe. Philip, the reception manager is kind and thoughtful. For my small asks, he could have shrugged them away as generally happens in European countries. But he found solutions. I called to see how to make the AC work, I was told there is no air conditioning for cooling. But in some time, he brought me a standing fan which was a pleasant surprise and made my stay comfortable during the hot summers. Thank you Philip and also the other girl, who did not speak much, but was generous and helping too.
