Lovely authentic Japanese house in beautiful country side. The owner is a nice man who speaks good English and takes good care of the house. In addition to the shared bathroom, kitchen and living room, that there are 3 rooms with futon beds, separated by a thin paper wall. Each room can host 2 to 3 guests. If rooms are full, you can hear everything as if there was no separation. I could literally hear people whispering. The owner offered me to use a scooter for free during my 2 days stay, which is awesome. There are some nice hikes to do in the area. The hike along the river to the Inukai JR station 15km away was amazing (there are closer JR stations). You'll love this place if you are looking for an authentic experience in a quiet rural setting.

We really enjoyed our stay here no doubt about it. The hostel was very clean and the onsen was just lovely. Private room was also nice and inexpensive. However if you have difficulty sleeping like I do please be advised that the walls are very thin! There are earplugs on sale at the hostel please bring eyemask! Also be prepared for lots of loud noises from 8am! Staff literally shouting and using the vacuum cleaner. So if you want to relax until check out I don't think this is the place. We enjoyed the owner singing to us as we left very nice touch

We got a transfer from Yufuin Station and arrived in about 5 minutes. The site is large and the buildings are scattered, but it is a compact and simple structure that saves waste on the whole. I chose the maisonette type, but as a result, the one-story type is enough. 2 There is only an open-air bath on the floor, and the space is * landscape and not cozy. During my stay, I only went up twice and it didn't make sense. I ate two meals at the inn restaurant. To put it bluntly, it was a meal that was simple and unimpressed, and probably disappeared from memory after half a year. It is almost left without customer service. There is no problem with the timing of the serve, but it is true that I couldn't feel hospitality for the price and felt a little lonely. The interior and furniture of the room are unified and comfortable, but there is no element that raises the feeling of staying in the hotel and the inn, and it is said that it came to stay in the villa of the person. It's a tough way to write, but I hope you can see it as an evaluation at a price match.

I originally booked this hotel for the convenience of going to Mount Aso, but I didn't realize that the volcano had been closed for some time. This hotel is located in a far outskirts, but the facilities are very good and the environment is beautiful. When we arrived, the owner was very enthusiastic and explained. We didn't understand Japanese, so he translated to us on the phone. The hot spring is in another room, and there were not many guests that night. Our family could enjoy one hot spring room, and everyone was very satisfied. The room is large, with one bed per person and complete facilities. The breakfast the next day was Western-style and very rich. The bakery owner who couldn't finish it packed it for us and took it away. No food was wasted. Very good service. There is also an astronomical telescope on the grassland. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy that night, so there was no chance to see the stars. No wonder the hotel has ”Galaxy” as its name. I think you can see the Milky Way in the sky when the weather is good. I hope to have the opportunity to come back next time. Fortunately, Mount Aso suddenly opened again after checking out, and we actually saw the volcano!

We were met by polite and efficient staff who could converse in English. We were given a tour of the place when we checked in. There were video games, manga, eating and Onsen recommendations, free self serve water, soft drinks, coffee, tea, cocoa and corn soup in the common area. Bicycles, indoor and outdoor slippers are free to use. Free parking is available on site. Our en-suite family room was very spacious, 2 double beds in the living room/ kitchen and a separate room with 2 single beds. Everything was very clean and the beds were firm and comfortable. No check out procedure required. There’s Don Quijote about 2 buildings away. I’m definitely coming here again when I next visit!!!

Beppu is a very cheap youth hostel. The public area on the first floor is very good. There is a kitchen to make coffee in the morning. The accommodation around is very friendly to Europeans and Americans, but the place to sleep is a little scrawled, harmless, the mattress and quilt are very soft. I like it very much.

It is very new and clean, and the equipment is also very user-friendly. There are 3 rooms, one of which is a Japanese-style room. It is very suitable for self-driving travelers, and it is not far from Yunotsubo. The check-in procedure is also quite quick and convenient. Recommended.

The entrance and cafe area downstairs are really cool and modern and they do great coffee. There's a huge shared kitchen you can use downstairs too, plus women, men and private onsens. The room we had was a traditional Japanese room with futon beds which were pretty comfortable. The room was absolutely massive with room for probably 6 people to sleep if you have to. The only downside is that there was no shower in the room or on our floor either. We assume you'd have to use the onsen to shower but not sure.

I didn't know there was such a facility because it was a place where I entered a little from the main road. This is my first time using it. It was a good deal because I checked in on Friday using the National Travel Assistance. The building was on a slope, the front desk was on the 4th floor, and the guest room was on the 2nd floor. It was a strange feeling that meals and hot springs climbed from the room to the upper floor. It used to be a public lodging, so I felt that the building was a little old with only one elevator. The room was spacious. The food may be inferior to the inns around here, but there was no shortage of quantity. Various sites said that meals were served in a tatami room, so I stopped wearing a yukata and made my own jersey, which was the correct answer. In December, when the temperature was low nationwide, the hot water in the open-air bath gets cold, so please use only the indoor bath. I think that the bathroom is large.
