The hotel is located in the scenic area and is convenient for sightseeing. This time, I went to Hongcun for two days on the recommendation of a friend. I stayed in Nanhu Garden. The designer hotel was clean and tidy. Although the hotel is located in the center of the scenic area, the environment is still relatively quiet. There is a large open-air balcony in both courtyards. There are tables and chairs where you can sit and drink tea and chat with friends. Look at the lake view. It is relatively quiet at night. The boss is very enthusiastic. He also arranged for someone to meet us in the parking lot. He helped with the luggage. The service attitude was good. I was in a good mood. I had a good time on this short-term trip. I wish the boss a prosperous business! Money rolling in!

The room was very clean and comfortable. I checked in and lay down. I was too tired to take any photos, but it was really comfortable. Maybe it was the off-season and there were few people, so it didn't feel noisy. There was heating in the room, which was very comfortable. In addition to the scenery, you can also feel the culture and customs of the people. The room was not expensive. I was healed here on the last day. For the B&B, we are just ordinary passers-by. For me, it made my trip a perfect ending.

Hongcun is not big, and Wanxinglou is located not far from the entrance, which saves you from the bumps of dragging luggage on the stone road in the village. The scenery is very beautiful when you go out to Nanhu Lake. The boss is also very nice and helped me with the luggage. The restaurant and accommodation are integrated, and the food is delicious. The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there.
When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter.
Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!

The scenic spot is not big and easy to find. There is a very beautiful small courtyard, which is very quiet at night. The room is just like the photo, the furniture is made of solid wood, the hot water is very good, and there is a bay window where you can sit and watch the rain in the courtyard. Breakfast was at a restaurant with a high rating next door, and there was a cute cat. Prices are very cheap in the village. The bad thing is that the smell of grilled sausages from the opposite side comes to the yard.

I also stayed in Poxin at the foot of Sanqing Mountain a long time ago. Booking the Ming Jing Garden in Xidi this time was beyond my original knowledge. It should be that the hardware facilities and other aspects have been upgraded, especially the mattress is very good! The service of the butlers is very good, the coffee is delicious, and the overall environment is integrated into the local style and retains many original buildings. Will come again.

The homestay is in the scenic area. The homestay arranged for someone to pick us up at the west gate parking lot, otherwise the location would be difficult to find. The facade looks ordinary, but I didn't expect to find a different world inside after walking in. I will surely stay here again in future. Extremely nice/ cleanroom and very reasonable rate. Most attractions are like 5 mins walk away. Absolutely love the automatic toilet (I'm a bidet person 😂). Simple Chinese breakfast to start the day and it is free, so not complaining.

XXuelangyiAs an authentic Huizhou native who left home when I was young, I came to Hongcun and met Zhang Gongguan for the first time, but I was amazed by the whole ink painting Qingming. After walking through the streets and alleys, I finally found the low-key house number. I opened a small door and opened a paradise. The antique Ming and Qing Dynasty old houses, restored in the Hui-style style, and simple and elegant furniture make people feel like they have traveled through time and space and returned to the prosperous ancient Huizhou of the past. In the front hall and back yard, the centuries-old mottled walls are paired with the black and white colors of Qingming rain, but it also has a sense of vicissitudes like ”in the old days, when kings went to the hall and swallows flew into the homes of ordinary people”, it was as if they were in a Chinese ink painting. This is an old house with a history of 300 years. It is located in the core scenic area of Hongcun. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Moon Marsh. There are many types of guest rooms with different styles. Almost all of them feature Chinese retro style. The carved wooden beds, wooden couches and dressing tables are all antique designs. The calligraphy, paintings and porcelain in the room highlight the famous Hui school. The door is an antique wooden door latch. key. The facilities in the bathroom are absolutely high-end. Dyson hair dryers and Hermès bath products are both rich in history and considerate. The owner lives with his guests and has four cats, several courtyards, and a beautiful swimming pool. The guests can drink tea and relax while leaning on the garden view. The butler's service was extremely attentive. He asked about the soundproofing at night, prepared a heart-warming breakfast in the morning, took our luggage all the way from the parking lot to the CI, dragged our luggage up the narrow stairs of the old house, and used a small electric donkey to carry our luggage again before we left. Return to the parking lot. I want to say here that the wooden stairs in the old Hui-style houses are narrow and shaky, and the sound insulation between the rooms is not very good. If you come to immerse yourself in the old house life, don’t complain and pay more attention to yourself. In short, this place really made my impression of Hongcun become more beautiful and full of nostalgia. It is undoubtedly the best private hotel in the village, and it feels like a dream that I will never wake up from.

GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

I would give it 90 points: 40 points are for the scenery and culture of Hongcun; 20 points are for the unique food of Huizhou. ; 30 points must be given to the B&B ”Thatched Cottage” where I stayed. I have never stayed in a B&B while traveling, and I particularly like this place! Thatched Cottage did it! In addition to enjoying free pick-up and drop-off, antique-style houses, considerate service, and free room upgrades, the ”thatched cottage” gives you the feeling of home and the warmth between people that a hotel cannot give, just like no matter where you are. No matter how late you play outside, your home will always leave a door open for you! The remaining 10 points are my own regrets, regrets that the vacation was too short, regrets that the time went too fast, and regrets that I couldn't take a photo with my ”family”! AAnonymous UserEnvironment: The B&B is about 10 minutes' walk away from Hongcun. The B&B is in a small courtyard. Overall it is very nice and quiet. I like this environment very much.
Cleanliness: Our family booked a total of 7 rooms. When I stayed here, I felt that the bedding and all places were very clean! I have stayed in very good four- and five-star hotels and many B&Bs. It is no exaggeration to say that this B&B is the cleanest one I have ever stayed in! As soon as you fall asleep, you can tell how clean the bedding is. Later I learned that the owner of the B&B would go to the laundry room every time to urge the laundry people to be more demanding.
Service: Because the road in Hongcun is so narrow that large vehicles cannot enter, there is no way to pick up people. However, the boss pulled a tricycle to help us pick up and drop off our luggage when we went there and when we left. This is still very good. However, there were some minor frictions during the communication, but the boss later apologized. Overall, the service is pretty good. However, during the peak tourist season, there are only two people there, and sometimes the boss cannot be found and we have to wait. This is a slight drawback.

NNicolaLanThe Homestay is located not far from two of the entrances to the village of Hongcun, and one of the owners came and picked us up at the gates, and offered to carry our luggage. The house is very real, they have three lovely pets and are extremely welcoming and helpful. I speak a little Chinese so communication was fairly easy, but with the translation apps I guess it would be as easy. The owner was kind to explain a couple of things about the village and to give us helpful informations on our trip to Huangshan of the following day. She even made a phone call to ensure we could buy tickets at the departure of the cable cars. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is what we were looking for. Kindness and true people, and a charming room facing an extremely quiet (the village is loud of tourist shops) inner yard

LLily MorrisaThis location was perfect and right in the scenic area of hongcun. It’s a little difficult to find at first but once you find it it’s easy to come back to if you put it in the maps app. The town is so cute and we were welcomed with little Hand-made bookmarks which was so sweet and a wonderful surprise. The one thing that was off putting and probably a one off is it seemed that there was a large family staying in the Homestay and in the middle of the night there was screaming and doors slamming on and off throughout the night. I’m not sure if this is a regular thing or just happened to be a one night thing but it was a bit frightening. Other than that the location was very quiet when we got there and the owner was very helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay.
