Overall clean, comfortable and well located hotel. Most of the staff was nice and helpful. Free coffee and tea in the morning. A bunch of people didn’t try to actually help when I asked questions about the city like how to take the bus. Clean but small gym. Overall would go back!

Here it felt like Christmas morning every day complete with a hearty breakfast every morning! And the hospitality was truly top-notch. Too cold to swim, but I did get my workout on. Overall, it was a great experience.

I must say my children an I we have been throughout our share of hotels from marriotts to hiltons to just ur regular quality and I have to say by far my kids and I have been so welcomed and just felt like we are apart of a big family ... I have to give all props to me frank at the front desk ... From my reservation overnthebphone to in person ... He is quite an amazing person and has truly made our stay wonderful thank u mr frank .. I hope to come across more employees like him.in future ...

Booked room last minute through a third party site for a great price. Upon check in I was advised they did not have to room available in which the reservation was made for, SOOO instead I was upgraded to a MUCH better and bigger room at no additional cost! The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable I did not want to get out of it the next morning! The built in dispensers in the shower was convienant and saved me from having to dig out my shampoo conditioner and body for one night. The ladies were extremely friendly and helpful at the front desk and I felt comfortable in knowing that if I needed anything it wasnt a bother to them as it is for other places.Kids had fun swimming and we even got a late night workout in as the fitness room was open 24/7!!

The Francis Marion hotel is in the perfect location for those who want to walk the city and be close to all the attractions and food. The hotel was clean and the service was wonderful. Parking was easy and the hotel gives guests a card that makes it more affordable, as well. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Charleston!

GGuest UserThe young man at Checkin was wonderful. The plusses all stop there. Got into the room. First of all, I ordered and received confirmation that I was getting a Rollin Shower room. Not! Did not receive the room I ordered. I cannot stand in regular tub/attached shower. How disappointed we were. Next. NO Air Conditioning. Power completely off on the room unit. Joshua kindly came in the room to try to fix/adjust it. No action. So next, he gives us another room. We were so excited our problems would be over. NOT! This room, I flushed the toilet..........NIAGRA FALLS!!!! Bathroom Fludded over with water in less than a minute. Could not stop it. My husband goes to front desk and gets a plunger and a mop. We slept in a room with totally wet floor as the mop had fibers no thicker than a child's jump rope. It was thin and old. We just endured a soaked room until we checked out in the morning about 6:30AM. Came to Charleston for Medical reasons. This room situation really made us SICK! I can only say the staff, and the breakfast are super kind. Whoever confirmed the room order from the very beginning DID NOT give us that room, and the rooms they gave us were totally devoid of being usable for any guests. Please have housekeeps check the basic facilities in rooms before allowing the front desk to rent them. Test the AC and Flush each toilet. Thanks!

GGuest UserWe enjoyed one night at this gorgeous hotel! This was a quick holiday getaway for myself and my teen daughters. The hotel facilities are top notch with beautiful decor and amazing views and location. We enjoyed the pianist in the lobby, drink up check in, easy valet service and storage of luggage while we walked around downtown before leaving. The staff were overall extremely friendly with only a few exceptions that were just mediocre. The room had lots of seating which was nice as well as soft blankets on the bottom of the beds, although the blankets looked as if they needed a wash with some spots of things so unfortunately could not use. We enjoyed hanging out by the fireplace and being able to walk to the beautiful scenery of the river, great shopping, and food options such as Gather GVL food hall and ice cream at Marble Slab. And I was thrilled the cute little holiday market right outside the hotel was open for us to shop around and grab some great smelling holiday candles. Breakfast at Between the Trees was amazing - highly recommend the omelets and blueberry pancakes!

GGuest UserWhen we arrived at the hotel and checked in. We enquired about the breakfast which was included in the booking. We were suprised to find out that there wasn't actually a breakfast. You got this card, and every morning you could pick out one item out of their ”supermarket”. The ”supermarket” was basically a minifridge and freezer, and a couple of shelves. Here you could find little cups of icecream, frozen minipizza, water, cola, and things like crisps and m&m's. This is hardly a breakfast. And you could only take one item, not even a drink and a snack. We said that this was not what we expected when we made the booking with breakfast included. The receptionist didn't even apologize just stated that the information on the website was old from 2021 and that they hadn't gotten around to changing it. We decided on this hotel because the breakfast was included. It was a pretty expensive booking. With over 400 dollars per night you would expect at least and nice breakfast or apologies and compensation. At the end we just took a bottle of water in the morning and had breakfast elsewhere.

AAshley NapierBeware of this hotel! Stayed nearly 30 days here. Had over $2000 still unresolved Fraud charges on two of my cards used at this hotel. Was harrassed daily even when room had been paid in full. Double charged twice during the stay tying up much needed funds that took over a month to get credited and refunded! Police were called , ultimately forced to leave a night I paid $165 for! Waited hours at the desk. They would run my card so many times and have it flagged for fraud - forcing me into hours on phone held hostage in their lobby while I had to call my bank and fight to have fraud alert lifted. Door keys constantly not working in the middle Of the night. Pool room was freezing and pool dirty. The laundry had one working machine for entire hotel day and night. The printer was NEVER able to be used to print anything. The game Room we were not even told existed until 3 weeks after staying there. Then once we knew about it no one could find where the game controller and supplies were kept. Horrid nightmare experience!

雨雨轩听晴Not to mention the location of the hotel, the beach is next to the sea, and the hotel itself has several swimming pools of different styles, suitable for children. The hotel is not far from the commercial area, and there are many fast food restaurants around. It is about a five-minute drive from the outlet, which is quite suitable for leisure vacation and parent-child travel. There are many parking spaces in the hotel, distributed in several different locations, but because of the high occupancy rate on the weekends, it is still a bit difficult to find parking spaces. Guests arriving at night can only stop by the hotel and move to the parking spaces the next morning. The hotel attendant will also call you to move the car. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served at 7-10 o'clock. It is better than expected. The variety is very rich and the taste is very homely. It can basically meet the needs of people in different countries. The sea-view suite we lived on was on the 15th floor. The picture shows the view from the balcony. The building opposite is also the guest room of his house. The overall sanitary conditions and hardware configuration are good. Will choose this next time.

AAshley NapierShower hard to operate. No regular coffee in room, $200 deposit paid for incidentals at check in… today I have a bill charge taken out of $119.25, instead of the credit of $200 back . I had already paid the reservation in full to Trip.com before check in. Front desk staff was very rude during entire stay. Most problematic even still was that I did NOT have wifi connection during the entire stay! Had to use my cellular data in the room all during the night … front desk never resolved nor seemed concerned about not having wifi access , nor did they offer a solution or compensation. We sat out front of the hotel for over 3 hours trying to come up with the $200 credit card to “authorize” for incidentals. Not the best experience for my birthday or ever! Calling hotel now about the non return of my $200 and double paying for the room that we only in from 10:30 pm- 12:15 next day!
