I had a concert at Kyocera Dome, but my night bus was canceled due to snow, so I quickly booked this hotel. It was a direct route on Midosuji Street. From the outside, it looked like a forest! There was a huge tree at the front desk! There were several check-in machines, so I didn't have to queue and could check in right away. It asked for a photo of my driver's license (why?). This might be difficult for foreigners. To get to the room, you first take the elevator at the front desk, get off on the second floor. Once you're in the hallway, there's another elevator that takes you to the guest rooms. The unique exterior, interesting check-in process, and the fun journey to the room really excited me! The room uses a password key for entry. When I checked in, a receipt-like paper came out with the password on it. It's not an auto-lock, so make sure to press the lock button before you go out. Overall, the room lighting is dim. The full-length mirror is also tucked between two walls, so you can't really see yourself. It's hard to do makeup. The bathroom is small, but if you're used to traveling, I think it's acceptable. I had a very comfortable stay. The TV settings were difficult, and I couldn't watch terrestrial digital broadcasting, but I could watch YouTube.

This is by far the best value, safest, most comfortable, and best-serviced hotel in Osaka. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Shinsaibashi, with a subway station right outside. There were wonderful Chinese-speaking staff to help with check-in. I accidentally left something behind, and to my surprise, after contacting the hotel staff, I actually got my item back! A huge thank you to all the hotel staff for their warm service and patient help. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Osaka!

Excellent location, very close to Jusan (Juso) subway station, making it easy to get to Umeda. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, so it's not noisy at night. There are also many restaurants nearby. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Osaka.

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! A staff member guided us through check-in, and I really appreciate the lady who assisted us – her Chinese was excellent. She politely helped us with our luggage to our room. The location is super convenient, right above a subway station, and there's even a direct bus to Kansai Airport. Staying at such a great hotel made this trip so much more enjoyable and relaxing, and it definitely made me love Osaka even more. Thank you, I'm very happy, and I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Osaka!

This hotel is conveniently located near Nagai Park and the station, with a 7-Eleven right next door. The large public bath and small sauna were great for unwinding after work! Interestingly, there were no mirrors at the washing stations inside the public bath. I was happy to find a ReFa hairdryer. The room was clean after the renovation, but the walls must be thin, as I could constantly hear what sounded like a phone from the next room, which was a bit bothersome.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with a direct shuttle bus from Kansai Airport, and direct access to the Umeda shopping district from the second floor of the building. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the hotel staff were very friendly and professional. The room facilities were complete, clean, tidy, and comfortable. Waking up every morning to the view from the window was truly a blissful experience.
Stayed here for our last night in Japan. First timer staying at this establishment. Excellent location just that need to walk quite a bit from the Kansai airport, thats all. About 10 minutes walk, no biggie. But beware! the hotel lobby counters are manned by dinosaurs!🤣 Great onsens, rooms were excellent with wonderful views of the sea side but like usual, dont expect great space for your luggage in the room. Will definitely stay here again in the future nevertheless.
The room is small but can open two suitcases. The public bath and spa are excellent. Close to JR station and donki. But the staff and hotel policy are terrible and I could only rate it woth adverse comment. First, at checkin the staff did not tell us the spa world could be used even after checkout, so we had no idea we could still stay to play the spa world the next day until we learnt it from other residents in the hotel. If we have learnt it earlier at checkin we might adjust our travelling plan as we checkin late at night from landing. Second,
upon checkout we asked for luggage storage service, which is very basic services of hotel, but the staff said if we were leaving and not staying for the spa, they would not keep our luggage. I am not meaning leaving Japan but I just go out from breakfast or some shopping. I have visited Japan multiple times and stayed in many hotels or residence, and this is the first one not offering luggage storage service. Please do not call this a hotel if you refuse to offer luggage storage service. Third, the hotel prohibited any slipper and every one had to walk back to rooms in bare feet after public bath, this sounds dirty while the staff was wearing slipper. Hotel could provide slippers and require resident to wear hotel slippers only. Bad experience and poor service.
This is a great value hotel which is very well placed for Univsersal studios, SpaWorld and central Osaka being very close to the Osaka loop and Chuo train lines. The room was clean and check in and check out was simple. The views over osaka were amazing. I was howeverdisappointed that there is no gym at the hotel as I specifically filtered for hotels with a gym. There is one close by that can be used but it costs extra to use this so be aware when bookiny (about 800 yen) and the opening times are very restrictive (not open Tuesdays and only open from 9am). This should be made clearer on the trip.com information about the hotel.

My overall stay was exceptionally good, with excellent service, ambiance, room type, and meals. My overall experience far exceeded expectations.
Initially, I didn't have high hopes for the Imperial Hotel Osaka because the exterior photos looked a bit dated. However, my perception was completely overturned after checking in. It truly exceeded all expectations! Even if the hotel's facilities weren't brand new, they were incredibly well-maintained, comfortable to use, and exceptionally clean. Every detail was meticulously taken care of.
The service was meticulous and thoughtful, providing a fantastic experience, truly the standard of an established luxury hotel. The front desk staff were gentle and accommodating. One staff member (I believe her name was Kim) was especially attentive, actively helping with luggage every time I went in and out.
I stayed in a riverside room on a lower floor. The environment was very comfortable, and the price was not expensive at all (much better than many more expensive design hotels). The bedding in the room was excellent, and I slept wonderfully.
The Japanese breakfast offered by the hotel was outstanding in quality, with a well-balanced and palatable selection. The dining experience was just right, without feeling overly full. (American breakfast was also available in another restaurant).
The hotel's laundry service is also commendable. Washed clothes were clean and neatly pressed, and they were even carefully organized and tied with ribbons. This level of delicate and thoughtful care is not common even among many high-end hotels.
The hotel possesses a restrained and dignified classic charm, with sincerity towards guests evident everywhere. I have high standards for accommodation details, but this hotel still managed to be impeccable.
I would prioritize choosing this hotel again for my next trip to Osaka and am also willing to try other hotels of the same brand in different cities.

DDrThomasThis isn't my first time choosing this place, and for good reason! The facilities are new, the service is excellent, and getting into the park is a breeze. The surrounding area is lively, and transportation is super convenient. Highly recommend it! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
GGuest UserCompletely exceeded my expectations! I personally think the location is great too, especially for this price – you wouldn't find such a well-located place in China for the same money. The hygiene was also good. The first-floor common area is very spacious and free-flowing. The front desk is on the 18th floor, and next to it, they even have facial cleanser, toner, and lotion available, which was incredibly thoughtful. There's also a coffee machine. Is the exchange rate really that good that the price is so fantastic? Anyway, I'm genuinely quite satisfied. The room has a washing machine and a microwave. Whether or not you use the washing machine is up to personal preference, but the microwave is incredibly convenient. There's a Lawson convenience store not far away, so you can buy food and heat it up – excellent!

Uuuxoxo99Everything was good overall. The room has a modern theme, and the cleanliness is still very good.
The room is bigger than most hotels in Japan and we could open two big suitcases comfortably.
The location is excellent. It’s right next to the famous Shinsaibashi shopping street, and within walking distance to both Shinsaibashi Station and Namba Station. I would rate the location 100/10. There’s also a FamilyMart just opposite the hotel, which is very convenient.
The service was good and the hotel allowed us to store our luggage even after we checked out, which was really helpful.
The only thing that could be improved is the bottled water. There were only two bottles of water in the room and they were refilled daily. Because of that, we tried asking for two more bottles from the reception before heading out each day. For the first two days, the staff were happy to give them to us, but on the third day a staff member mentioned that each room could only get two bottles. It would be better if the hotel could provide more bottled water in the room or increase the limit for guests.
GGuest UserThe hotel room wasn't as big as I'd imagined, but it was larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms, fitting two suitcases comfortably. The front desk staff generally communicated well in English, though they occasionally misunderstood requests. The hotel breakfast was excellent and unique, with a wide variety of delicious options. Downstairs, there's a Hanafru dessert shop where you can enjoy parfaits, and a Michelin-starred unagi restaurant, ”Takeyatei.” It's about a 15-minute walk from Shinsaibashi, which is quite convenient overall. The only downside is the noisy biker gangs that cruise the Osaka city center at night; even the hotel's soundproof windows couldn't block out the noise, so earplugs are recommended.

AAmarFromUKLocation:
Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet.
There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day)
Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage
Hotel Room:
We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothes
But the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything.
Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stay
Hotel features:
Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views.
The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free.
The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day.
Staff:
Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful
Overview:
100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal Studios too.
IIhqueConvenient location, just next to Ebisicho subway station exit 5. It's also great that there are free flow alcohol and ramen at selected hours. Downside is that it's too noisy at the public areas, as it's a hotel popular with Korean tour groups that like to drink and eat and make merry loudly. Service also has room for inprovement - staff weren't particularly warm or friendly. Was checked in by the lady in the picture - when I said I want to check in, she (probably a Korean) started talking to me (without a smile) in Korean, presuming I'm Korean, just like most guests staying there. She gave a look of slight annoyance when I (obviously) couldn't understand - and mantained a cold stoic look through the whole check in process. Not the best welcome to give your newly arrived guests. Foreign housekeeping staff also do not greet guests along the corridor. That said, some Japanese staff members and the restaurant staff are still pleasant and polite, and given the affordable price point and added free perks, it's still a decent stay.
MM221607****This is a chain hotel right by Osaka's Kitahama Station, so it's super convenient for getting around. You can get to Osaka International Airport with just one subway transfer to the Nankai Electric Railway. We stayed for three nights and used the subway for all our sightseeing around Osaka, which was really easy.
We originally booked a standard twin room, but when we got there, we realized there was absolutely no space for luggage. With the help of Ctrip's customer service, we were upgraded to a superior twin room that had enough space for our bags. We really appreciate Ctrip's excellent service!

GGuest UserWaldorf set the tone for the entire luxury hotel in Osaka, it deserves the highest praise. From the moment you step out of the car upon entering the hotel, the emotional experience is flawless. Upon reaching the reception area, the hot towels and tea are a first thing you'll find that sets it apart from other luxury hotels. This attention to detail is so thoughtful; it shows how much they understand that after transportation, travelers can perform a handwashing ritual, representing not only physical cleanliness but also a reminder of mental well-being. It's fantastic. The only suggestion I could make is that having someone sit down during check-in would be better than standing at the reception desk. Other staff members who left a deep impression included Yui and another girl who showed us to our room (I don't remember her name, but I do remember she taught me that Yui's name is Y and I; she was all smiles, in high spirits, and explained the hotel facilities very well, greatly reducing any sense of unfamiliarity as a new guest). Since we returned to the hotel quite late that night, we mainly went to the bar near the back entrance for drinks. The bartenders were very attentive, and the welcome drink was delicious. When leaving the hotel, the staff throughout the journey were attentive. Because our next destination was relatively close to the hotel, the staff at the entrance (I forgot his name, but I remember he was short and had braces; his performance that day was perfect) arranged for a hotel car to escort us there. The driver was Italian, very professional, and had an excellent attitude. Words of gratitude are insufficient to praise this outstanding driver. If a hotel's maximum score is 5, I would give it a 6. It truly embodies the image of a luxury hotel and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I will definitely return on my next trip. I am grateful for everyone's efforts throughout the journey.
VVinijiangThe environment: The view from the hotel room was absolutely stunning! I stayed for three days and two nights, and both the mornings and sunsets were incredibly beautiful. The rest of the time, I was out exploring and eating!
Hygiene: The room was spacious and clean. I booked a triple room, and it was perfectly fine for three people.
Location: Excellent location, within a 15-minute walk to Yodobashi Camera, right next to Lucca, and Daimaru department store. There are also many great restaurants along the way.
Service: The beautiful ladies and handsome gentlemen at the front desk were all very enthusiastic! Even with my poor Japanese, I had a pleasant conversation with them!
Thank you very much, I'd love to visit again! ^_^
