We chose the hotel cos' it was conveniently located near the train station as we wanted to go to the Osaka expo. The rooms were ok. Housekeeping service was good. The Reception lady on our check in day (10/5 ) was not particularly friendly or helpful - perhaps she was busy. Upon check out today ( 10/7 ), however, the 2 ladies ( one from Indonesia ) were very helpful and the Japanese receptionist helped us refill our form to send our bags to Nagoya and called the receiving hotel in Nagoya to check that they will receive our bags. We are very grateful to her n I am sorry that I did not get her name but she was on duty this morning at 10.45am. Our room number was 3526. We also had a drink at the lounge bar on 20th floor on 10/6 night n it was quite nice. Overall, a nice experience at the hotel because of the Receptionist who helped us with our bags today (10/7 )and the Receptionist ( from Indonesia)who recommended us breakfast places n was very friendly and kind. Thank you. View from 35th floor lift landing.
I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Eins Kadoma. The hotel feels new, clean, and well-maintained. The room is quite spacious compared to many hotels in Japan, providing enough space for luggage and comfortable movement. Facilities are quite complete — there’s a coin laundry, vending machines, and basic amenities provided in the room, making it convenient for both short and longer stays.
The location is excellent — just a short walk to the nearby shopping mall and train station, which makes travelling around very convenient. There are also several family-style restaurants in the surrounding area, so finding meals is easy. The nearest Family Mart is about a 10-minute walk away.
Overall, it’s a comfortable and practical hotel with good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Kadoma who prefers a quiet stay but still wants easy access to shops and transportation.
Booking this hotel for our trip was an absolute stroke of luck! Traveling with two children to the Expo, I was initially worried about the chaos and stress of getting around. To my surprise, the hotel has a private pier on its second floor, offering direct boat access to the Expo's West Gate. This convenience completely put my mind at ease about the children getting separated.
During our stay, the thoughtful service from the hotel staff truly warmed my heart. In particular, there was a charming young man who spoke fluent Chinese. Not only did he ensure seamless communication, but he also went above and beyond his duties, showing exceptional kindness and responsibility. When he learned I didn't have my Visa card and couldn't buy boat tickets, he immediately offered to pay for them without a second thought. He meticulously confirmed the departure time of the last boat and repeatedly discussed the payment method for the return journey with the boatman, arranging every detail for me.
The next day, I overslept and missed our scheduled time. After rushing onto the boat, I suddenly remembered I hadn't confirmed the cash payment for the tickets. To my astonishment, this dedicated staff member actually chased me down to the pier! He personally verified the payment method with the boatman and even specifically warned me that the 10 PM boat was fully booked, recommending I take the 8:30 PM cruise back instead. Encountering such thoughtful assistance in a foreign country truly left me with an indescribable feeling of warmth and gratitude!
I sincerely wish this kind staff member all the very best for his bright future, continued success, and that his positive influence continues to grow! This unforgettable stay will undoubtedly become one of the most cherished chapters in my travel memories.

The hotel has a pleasant ambiance and is conveniently located near the subway station. The rooftop onsen is fantastic and very relaxing. The rooms are also quite good, and you can easily walk to the Tenmangu Shopping Street from here.

I have a great stay at Citadines. Was not expecting a lot as i merely booked it as the one day tour company request to stay in hotel near Namba. It definitely exceeded my expectations in many ways. Location is around 200m to Kuromon market where you can find plenty of goodies and food. It also connects to the popular Dotonburi where you will go crazy finding outlets like Onitsuka Tiger & Popmart as well as popular eateries like Ichiran ramen! Good to book a premier room that comes with a kitchen. It does daily housekeeping with lounges & a launderette. Very happy to stay there! Highly recommended!

I stumbled upon this hotel by chance and decided to book two nights, just to give it a try. To my surprise, it exceeded my expectations and gave me an excellent stay! 👍 First, upon arriving at the lobby, the staff were incredibly welcoming! Even though there was a bit of a language barrier with us Chinese guests, they explained everything very clearly, and the check-in process was handled with great detail. Once I entered the room, I found it to be very spacious! The hygiene was also quite good! The breakfast tasted nice too! The front desk even provides disposable amenities, which you can pick up as needed! And most importantly, the location is truly excellent!

Completely exceeded my expectations! The lobby decor is grand yet cozy 🏡, and the bellhop was super enthusiastic about helping with luggage 🧳. The room's soundproofing was so good I couldn't hear any noise 🤫, and waking up to the morning sun was incredibly refreshing 🌞. Checkout was super fast, no long waits ⌛. Highly recommended!

The location is super convenient. It's right by the M subway line, providing easy access to Shinsaibashi, Namba, and Tennoji. There are several 7-Eleven stores nearby, making it easy to grab anything you need. Hotel service was very attentive. Check-in is on the 16th floor, where the floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views and great photo opportunities. The room was clean, and I was pleasantly surprised to find Pola brand toiletries. My room wasn't facing the main road, so I had no issues with disturbing street noise at night. Overall, a highly recommended stay.
Excellent location for visit to Expo. The hotel is located right next to the bus terminal for buses to expo west gate, and literally right across the road from JR Sakurajima that connects you by train to rest of osaka, especially the osaka expo liner that brings you direct to Osaka station in 13min.
Also enjoyed the onsen though it was way too crowded probably because of full capacity during the expo. But in general top marks for amenities and location.

The hotel's surroundings are excellent, with convenient transportation; there are 3 subway stations within 1 km. However, I did notice some discrimination against Chinese guests, especially from the breakfast restaurant staff. Their service attitude clearly differed between Chinese guests and Caucasians. While it might not bother everyone, it was noticeable. Overall, this hotel is still worth staying at. The room cleaning was also very good and timely.

Great
TTravellingmamaThe hotel is situated right in front of USJ and lots of restaurants to choose from. There is a big Lawson to top up your snacks and drinks too. Room is spacious and can easily fit a small family. The beds are clean. Easy check in and check out. They have full bathroom amenities, kettle and flask to collect water. The thing to improve on is the wifi. We can hardly connect to it and the TV programs don’t load.
MMengmengmamaChoosing InterContinental Osaka was hands down the smartest decision I made!
The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go!
The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it!
The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless!
When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming!
It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is super easy to find, right by Exit 1 of Dobutsuen-mae Station, and it's literally next door to the Shinsekai area with Tsutenkaku Tower. It's incredibly convenient for both transport and sightseeing.
They have their own hot spring, which is amazing for relaxing after a day of exploring. The room size is pretty decent too, definitely more spacious than your typical Japanese express hotel. Plus, the breakfast spread offers a good variety. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Osaka!
GGrace 恩雅After staying in a cheaper APA hotel in Tokyo, my partner and I were looking forward to a higher-end stay at the Mercure in Osaka. It was... okay.
I'll start with the positives: the proximity to Dotonbori is the biggest plus. It's about a 3-minute walk to the main canal strip. The hotel is separated from the peak tourism chaos by a few streets, so it isn't too overwhelmingly busy around the hotel itself. Convenient FamilyMart and 7-Eleven options are nearby, as you'd expect. The room was clean. The Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor was also quite lovely and well-priced.
Now the negatives. First, the lighting was so dim in the hallways and the room itself that it was less ”pleasant mood lighting” and more ”I can't see anything/do my makeup.” I actually thought some of the lightbulbs were blown, but my partner pointed out they were just absurdly dim. Secondly, the door to the bathroom/shower was broken and wouldn't stay shut, so we had to use a few heavy items on the floor to keep it closed. Some of the USB outlets were also non-functioning.
Thirdly - and this may be our fault - the washer-dryer combo machine in our room (which was a big reason for us booking this hotel) was finicky to use and only had Japanese labels/instructions. The room guide on the smart TV did have some instructions, but we struggled to operate the machine regardless. Then, after we worked it out, the drying cycle shrunk and heavily wrinkled our clothes. This wouldn't be the end of the world, but the room had no iron or ironing board. You have to go to reception to hire an iron separately or use the ”iron room,” which we never saw the inside of because it was locked every time we tried the door.
None of these drawbacks were trip-ruining or anything, and in a cheaper 3-star hotel, we wouldn't be clutching our pearls about it. But because this is a pricier 4-star, internationally-known hotel brand, we expected more. Overall, the stay was not unpleasant, but it was nothing to write home about either.

Very Good
AAmarFromUKLocation:
Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet.
There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day)
Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage
Hotel Room:
We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothes
But the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything.
Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stay
Hotel features:
Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views.
The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free.
The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day.
Staff:
Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful
Overview:
100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal Studios too.
GGuest UserEverything about this hotel is brilliant. Although breakfast is not included, it can be purchased and is very reasonably priced. Quite close to English breakfast except no toast. There is French bread which is sweet. Plenty of fruit also.
Unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate all day.
The rooms are spotless and the whole hotel is like a new build. (Maybe it is)
There is entertainment most nights in the lounge except when there is a DJ, which is not really entertainment. No mixing or dance. No lights either and no communication with the audience. (Which is very small).
The hotel is above Kitahama station which is handy, if you can work out the rail and subway system.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
We extended our stay three times which says a lot.
You won’t be disappointed staying here.

Amazing
XXiemimiThe hotel view is absolutely fantastic, offering a great cityscape of Osaka. From the better room types, you get a direct view of a large area of Umeda, including the train station. The decor is European style, though it feels a bit 'knock-off' – like a fake European imitation. The details don't hold up under close inspection, and the cleanliness is noticeably not as good as in Tokyo. They're very generous with amenities, providing a lot. Breakfast is à la carte, suitable for those who enjoy Western breakfast; I found it pretty good, and the bread was quite tasty. There was a musty smell in the room, so overall, it didn't feel very high-end. The bedding was also quite ordinary. Its strengths are definitely the view and the value for money.
FFab F.Despite some moments we had read on maps, the room we had on the 25th floor was recent, comfortable and well equipped. The size of the bathroom was also good if not bigger than usual hotel in Japan. Breakfast buffet on the 36th floor ia standard and lack a bit of originality but the view from all tables on the city is stunning. Hotel is also very well located and served perfectly our needs. Finally staff was nice and helpful. This is definitely an address we will happily go back to.
__WeChat20061****The location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk right next to Osaka Station. Umeda offers plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. For those coming from Kansai Airport, simply take the limousine bus, get off at the second stop, and it's only a 7-8 minute walk to the hotel. I absolutely love this area and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.
