Amazing customer service from Christina allowing an early check in. Room clean and tidy and bottles of still/sparkling water in the fridge. Was slightly loud banging doors about 1-3am from late revellers but nothing too bad. Breakfast delicious- fresh homemade waffle and omelettes Drink prices very reasonable priced

The hotel is in a good location, in the city center. It is a good hotel for attending conferences and the price is affordable. I will book this hotel again for the next Birmingham exhibition. It is convenient for travel.

Service was as always very good. Room was ridiculously hot and we couldn’t turn the heating off unless we turned all the power off including the lights. They brought us a fan though and we couldn’t have expected more as it was very late at night by the time we got back to the room

Nice room, clean, location is a bit strange lack of road markings and signs, easily miss the entry if turning right when driving in the dark, plenty of car parking spaces, but a hefty charge of 12gbp even that it belongs to them, a little bit of pocket picking, would rather pay a higher price for the room and park for free will feel better. Swimming pool is cold, but jacuzzi is correct temperature. Steam sauna is pointless because its 40 degree max. Gym room quite small but its enough to lose a few calories.

The hotel is located close to everything I needed in central Birmingham. The room was clean and staff friendly. Only 2 things- the walls between the rooms are too thin. You can hear everything happening in the room next door including what they are watching on television and sleep noises. Secondly the breakfast variety is limited but having read reviews by others, I prepared appropriately.

I had an amazing time with my partner, breakfast could have been slightly better as the meats tasted rubbery and under cooked, but other then that the breakfast was delicious, room was clean and spotless, beautiful views, comfy beds, clean kettles!!, close to the city center and the train station which was a huge relief as we had alot of travelling through the day so was nice to be able to just get of the train and it only be a five to ten minute walk,

A hotel that’s perfect for public transportation and by car: it’s this. On the square opposite Coventry Rail Station along the main road with drop off access. Part of the IHG brand, the hotel is stuffed with modern, quirky colourful decor including a silver open top Austin Healy in the reception area. The ground floor is one big open space that navigates from lobby to bar to restaurant/breakfast area and an exit where the outdoors semi enclosed seating area is. It’s Britain, so no heaters or covers but it’s an acceptable smoking area! Upon checking in we received a 20% voucher off all the F&B which doesn’t happen often. The kitchen was closed by 9 but we and our friends enjoyed a drink in the bar area. The room was super lovely, all brand new, super clean and nicely decorated. Personalised smart TV but the smart function didn’t work alas! Overall: a wonderful experience!

Lovely location walking distance to bullring. It was easy to get Uber as well. The apartment itself had everything we needed. It was very clean and staff were friendly. Would recommend for a centrally located accommodation on a budget.

Everything is nice with loads of services. One minor thing is that the bathroom is the old kind of separate taps but that doesn’t bother a lot.

Lovely staff, young and rushed off their feet, stayed for one night, stayed before 2018. Confused I paid for the privilege to stay in the hotel to attend the horse racing and watch Madness. Yet was confused that the hotel let anyone in to use the bar, from the race course when there was ample bars in the race ground for anyone not staying at the hotel. After Madness finished the only bar open is the hotel bar, because show is finished 10.00 home time and they want you out if you’re not staying at the hotel, which is fine, but if you are staying in the hotel as many of us were , bar was full, rammed so of course people wanted to sit outside because there are tables for the hotel outside but security had been told not to let anyone outside with drinks, how stupid is this, I understand you want to close the race course, so you need to restrict people from using the hotel if they aren’t staying there, and don’t be greedy and take peoples money knowing your going to be 60 people plus in a reception bar area, tiny thing like covdi happen few years back you should only serve hotel guest because that’s what you are, a hotel. And help the poor bar staff, young girl on her own, blokes walking out with 3/4 pints not paying and she’s on her own can’t chase them. Ps didn’t stay for breakfast too expensive, I was going to but even though it had increased in price quite a bit, but remembered it was cold last time we stayed.

GGuest UserIt’s a huge hotel used for conferences and weddings. The corridor carpets and decor looked tired, however I was pleasantly surprised by the recently refurbished room. Nice fresh decor, and new carpet, fridge, Bosch coffee maker, large screen TV, iron, ironing board and trouser press. There’s a pool and leisure centre there also, although I didn’t have time to check that out. Plenty of parking as well. Don’t expect to get a lay in though, there was quite a bit of noise from people in the corridor from about 6:30 with guests from coach parties and workmen up an off early and cleaning staff talking at normal volume outside the door. Check out is also before 10am. Worth the £45.56 it cost me though.

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Birmingham, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. This hotel is a true gem in the heart of the city, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting Birmingham. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the front desk team went out of their way to make me feel at home. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a deluxe room with a stunning view of Birmingham’s skyline, which added a special touch to my stay. The room itself was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable – I slept like a dream every night! I loved the little touches, like the Nespresso machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and the sleek bathroom with a powerful rain shower and luxurious toiletries. Everything felt well thought-out, making my stay both relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch. The on-site restaurant was a highlight, offering a fantastic breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options, from fresh pastries and fruit to full English breakfast items. I also enjoyed a delicious dinner there one evening – the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable. The bar area was a great spot to unwind with a cocktail after a day of exploring the city. The location of the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham is unbeatable, especially if you want to be in the heart of the action. It’s just a short walk from major attractions like the Bullring Shopping Centre, Birmingham New Street Station, and the vibrant Brindleyplace area, making it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. I also appreciated how easy it was to get around the city, with excellent transport links nearby. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was professional, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. When I needed recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, the concierge provided brilliant suggestions. Overall, my stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham exceeded all expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Whether you’re in Birmingham for a weekend getaway, a business trip, or a special occasion, this hotel is the perfect choice. I’m already looking forward to my next stay here – thank you to the entire team for making my visit so special!

GGuest UserHotel is not in a bad location for trips out… But the hotel needs a lot of improvements! The breakfast buffet you are left waiting for them to replenish food items , you have to keep asking staff where are the cups for tea as none replaced there was queues because of the location of the toaster, be careful if you ask for water to be replaced in room as I was charged but then got a refund after complaining..the executive room was good but I know the standard rooms are not great. The staff were good but there needs better organisation. The pool area dated and no set time they seem to pick and choose open close times. We had quite a few issues not all mentioned here which we told reception about we was not happy and noticed other customers complaining.. we would not stay again and certainly not 4 star 3 at most .. can’t comment on spa treatments as did not use but looking at the spa I’m sure there are better ones around. Golf course 9 hole in good condition but outside hotel area need tidying up bit scruffy.

JJeanetteI enjoyed my stay :). The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the room temperature was cozy after putting on the air conditioner. Check in was prompt. The breakfast was very good 👍. I would have given 5 stars for amenities but the swimming pool and sauna closes early on weekends (7pm) and the tea and coffee selection in the room was very basic.

MMike LutzA very pleasant stay in a clean room with decent amenities. The bed was comfy and I didn’t hear noise from other guests, it was good to have blackout blinds too. The location was perfect for my conference and walking distance to the city centre (about 15 mins). The breakfast is decent and there are snacks and drinks available as well.

GGuest Userthe room is good enough for 3 persons, though the sofa beds are actually smaller than the photos. well equipped with 2 head cooking hobs, small fridge, dish washer, microwave with grill function and sufficient utensils, and also instant coffee were provided. the water pressure of the shower is super good and water is hot enough but the toilet is a bit small, you have to hide just next to the toilet bowl then you have enough space to open the door. The down side is the service of the reception & housekeeping team. After we got the room cards, we couldn't access to the room and needed to go down to ask the receptionist to fix the cards and come back to open the room. After entered the room, we found that the water in toilet sink didn't go, we asked the housekeeping staff who was just working at the next room to have a look at it but who said we needed to go to the receptionist (as there's no inter-room telephone, we have to go down again). Then the receptionist arranged another room which was downstairs for us. We booked for 2 nights, when we came back to the hotel the next evening, the room cards didn't work, again. The receptionist claimed that it might be due to the cards being put together with the mobile phone that might damage the cards. However, we were sure the cards weren't put together with the phones! It would be perfect if a small box of tissue could be provided.

NNingI recently stayed at here, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service stood out the most – the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help. From check-in to check-out, I felt well taken care of, and they were quick to respond to any requests. The facilities were modern and well-maintained. The rooms were clean, spacious, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The hotel also had excellent recreational options, including a well-equipped gym and a relaxing pool area. I particularly enjoyed the lounge space, which was comfortable and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a long day.

GGuest UserNice hotel. Booked the superior king room. Nice room with some issues. The ceiling is quite low in the bathroom so when you’re standing in the bathtub, my head was quite close to the ceiling. I’m around 6 ft 2. The shower itself is quite good. There was a crack on the wall in the shower which needs to be fixed. Maybe installing a walk in shower would be better. The room was otherwise clean and spacious. They use two beds and stick it together to make one king size bed. Uncomfortable when sleeping as the beds tended to separate slightly when sleeping so you’re slightly sinking in the middle. They should have made this clearer. It would be much better if they have a proper king size bed. The view was really nice from the room. Breakfast was extra and it was very good. It’s a buffet style breakfast. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Although I did t use it, the spa facilities were included in the price which is nice. Lots of parking available and safe. The hotel close the gates at midnight but you can press the buzzer and they’ll let you in. The hotel itself is a listed building so no lifts, but you can probably ask for help if with bags. Hotel itself is beautiful. Would I visit again? Yes
