PPaul WilkinThis is an English country house and golf course with gothic features and a suit or armour, It's a little faded but clean, although there are some budget rooms that feel bit basic. The location is on the edge of the city and you can walk in the grounds and garden as weather allows, but don't wander all over the course, The staff is friendly and efficient and the swimming pool and sauna are good. It can get busy with regular users though and swimming lessons, so timing is needed.
The restaurant is a little dark and the food selection is not particularly wide. The bar is ok but will fill up with large parties from time to time. Weddings, family reunions, coach trips etc.
On the whole though a satisfactory stay and I have used it a few times.

This visit we had extended out our invitation to our parents.
We all enjoyed our 4 night stay. This place is brilliant and accommodating for families. We have a 9 month old baby. We asked for an apartment close to the road so we could have easy access for a pram. Which they did.
Staff friendly.
The restaurant catered for our baby and the food was delicious.
You can walk to the coast comfortably.
The apartment was clean, updated, and accessible for our family.
We would definitely recommend and go again.

GGuest UserWe wee offered a twin room although we requested a double, but the receptionist was very helpful and, with housekeeping, converted it into a double forthwith. The location was good and quiet, and the breakfast selection was reasonable, but very well cooked and one of the better English breakfasts we have had in the country. We assumed that the swimming pool usage was not part of the deal, and regretted not using it when we found out that there was no additonal fee for it. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

GGuest UserReceptionist was rude and unhelpful, maybe caught her on a bad day but as she was rude unhelpful and unwelcoming over our 3 day stay, we felt she let the whole hotel down. The rest of the staff were amazing! Helpful, cheerful, happy to go above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable room. Had it not been for the lady on the front desk, I would have given a 5 star rating, but she really needs some retraining.
The rest of the staff, keep up the great work!

KKevowastakenStayed for one night, wouldn't have wanted to stay for longer, did what we needed. Not clean, the hotel in general and our room weren't clean. Breakfast was good, location is right on the beach. You get what you pay for, this is cheap and cheerful.
