Very wonderful, the room is beautiful and comfortable, the scenery is excellent, the breakfast view is very beautiful, just in the old town, convenient to move, and there is a parking lot 100 meters next to the hotel, extremely convenient
The best hotel I have visit for this trip. All staffs are friendly and helpful.
Easiest way to reach hotel is to go to Matera Centrale via ferrovie train from Bari Centrale. Than a bus near the train station will fetch you the doorstep. Very efficient location.
The hotel has a very nice lobby and common areas; the comfortable, clean rooms, drawing attention to some details (like air conditioning not work, a little noisy). The hotel has a parking area, and the hotel has a parking area.
With a stay at Moma Hotel in Lavello, you'll be 12.4 mi (20 km) from Castle of Melfi and 19.4 mi (31.2 km) from Hypogeum Lagrasta. This spa hotel is 26.5 mi (42.7 km) from Castle Lagopesole.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments, and facials. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and a television in a common area.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 19 air-conditioned rooms featuring minibars and flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Private bathrooms with showers feature complimentary toiletries and bidets. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.
Amazing hotel with cave like design, super clean room, the only drawback is we needed to carry the luggage up the hotel as it’s located slightly up the hill, the hotel staff was very helpful to have helped, it was worth the walk.
I recently stayed at the Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel and Spa in Matera, and it was an unforgettable experience. The rooms are carved out of historic caves, offering a unique and enchanting atmosphere that blends modern luxury with ancient charm. The location is perfect, nestled within the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site, providing easy access to the city’s main attractions.
The hotel’s amenities are top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the spa facilities, which include a sauna, hammam, and a heated indoor pool. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met with a smile. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, adding to the overall comfort of my stay.
One minor downside was the cost of some extras, which felt a bit high. Additionally, while the cave-themed rooms are stunning, they might not be for everyone due to the unique layout and lighting. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unique stay in Matera.
Honestly, I wouldn't highly recommend it, especially for those with large luggage. Taxis can't drive to the hotel entrance; you have to walk at least five or six minutes along a winding, gravel path. Even inside the hotel, almost every room requires climbing up and down steep, inconvenient steps. The so-called separate building is on the other side of the hotel (it seems like the original hotel area was fully developed, and they added it on top of surrounding residential buildings). It's not particularly safe, especially at night when you're practically helpless. The hotel has a shuttle bus from the lobby (main area) to the separate building, but you still have to climb about twenty gravel steps and carry your luggage yourself. The hotel claims the separate building is about a four-minute walk from the main building (there's a small path), but going down from the top requires climbing 100 steps, and going back is the same. The steps are narrow and steep. The stone buildings are quite dark, so we had to leave the doors open, and the blankets were a little damp, probably due to the high humidity (they had a dehumidifier on). Everything else was average. The hotel service was helpful but far from enthusiastic. The sauna was similar to a large public bathhouse in China; you need to bring your swimsuit. It was alright. I don't usually review hotels, but this time I'm saying I ”would not recommend it.”
Excellent hotel but way out of town in a lonely industrial area, perfect for those with a car.
Wifi in some rooms is quite disappointing too.
other than that, modern facilities including swimming pool (closed in December obviously), ample car park, large bedrooms, and superb breakfast.
Very Good

GGuest UserWorst experience in staying in independent accommodation. Left in the rain for 1 hour. Tried 18 calls not answered A very unpleasant man turned up and yelled at us in Italian. We felt very intimidated. When we went out we believe someone entered the room and turned off all lights and heating.
Nice room but it’s in an apartment not a hotel like pictures make you believe. Next morning 1/2 hour before check out we returned back and the angry man was waiting for us. Yelling about lights left on. This was a small bathroom light we’d missed when we went for a walk. He virtually threw us out of the hotel. Standing in front of the bedroom window making us very uncomfortable. Very very unpleasant stay.
GGuest UserReally great one night stay. The hotel is very conveniently located for the autostrada. It was easy to check in and the reception staff were pleasant. We were advised parking was at the rear of the hotel where there was plenty of space. Our room was clean and modern, with a lovely comfortable bed.
We had dinner in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the choice available, as we don't eat meat, there were vegetarian options and of course fish, and the quality was excellent. It was also reasonable in cost.
We had breakfast the next day where there was ample choice of scrambled egg (and bacon), cheeses, bread and pastries, cakes etc. Would thoroughly recommend.
RRowena Yin TingA nice boutique hotel with friendly staff at a good location with restaurants nearby. We booked two rooms - the room on 2nd floor is good but the one on ground floor smells a bit of mould. Perhaps because it’s inside a cave. Breakfast choice is limited with fruits, toast with tomatoes, and cakes. You can order boiled or scrambled eggs as this is the only hot food they serve. We are fine with that but more as fyi.
CCJFroVery enjoyable stay. Lovely staff. Nice coffee and breakfast though quite simple. Would have liked some fresh orange juice in the morning rather than the cheap from concentrate stuff. Very happy on the whole though.
On the whole good value for money for the sleeping in a cave house type place in Matera.
Extra marks for the hotels dog Peggy who is adorable :D

MmlenitskayaThis is probably the best hotel in Matera based on what we read before traveling. The service is exceptional , very helpful and friendly staff. The room is spacious, very clean and cozy. We had a small balcony with a very nice room. The restaurant that was recommended to us was also amazing. Highly recommend!
SshtmpearlGood service for picking up guests from car park.
Breakfast was included, pretty ok selection.
Room is large but toliet wall was very bad maintain and dirty. Selfs and table.has ants. The overall was fine but need some improvement on the bathroom wall. Same cost of bookings, some rooms are big, some are small.
