The hotel is in a prime location. Travelers who do not drive can choose to walk 10 minutes to the subway station. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the old town. For self-driving travelers, the hotel provides free parking. It is located next to the highway exit and is very convenient. In addition, the simple breakfast provided by the hotel can make the morning full of satisfaction. It is highly recommended. The room surcharge every night is also super value. It is highly recommended to stay.

We went there for a couple days during the JFL festival.
We booked the Panorama room, the one we got happened to be on the 7th floor.
First and foremost; I've seen people complain about the noise from the street and homeless people trying to get in the lobby on every website.
-This hotel is right at a busy intersection. There will be noise. It's normal. If you don't want noise, book somewhere away from downtown, period. The area was so close to everything on foot, we absolutely would go back if we happened to go to an event in the future.
-The 3 nights /4 days we've been, no one tried to enter the lobby . We even had some door dashers blocked from going upstairs since they were not staying at the hotel and we had to pick up from the reception. I have no complaints there.
We really appreciated the cooling system in the room; 2 different vents for the bedroom & living room, which were working very well in the hot weather (40°). It allowed us to lower the living room while not pushing direct cold air over us while we slept .
Now, for the 1 star on cleanliness.
Positives:
-The towels and linens were clean and fresh.
-Once done cleaning (I'll get back to this later), we asked for someone to come vacuum the floor and clean them to remove what was moved and fell on the floor, which was done almost instantly.
Negatives;
As I said, we stayed a few days so we actually went to a drug stock to pick up a duster and some cleaning wipes.
- Dust. I am not talking about a small film of dust on hard to reach surfaces. I am talking about wool-covered vents and airways. The duster had no more yellow or white by the time we were done swiping the vents and corners of the rooms from cobwebs and dust.
-Sticky surfaces. We used cleaning wipes to wash up every controllers , switches, tables, chairs and headrest. It was easily cleaned, but the amount of stains removed shows that nothing other than dusting had been done in a while.
-Shower floor. The shower soap holder had sticky spots. We decided to wear flipflops in the shower to prevent from touching the floor directly. It did turn out to be a good move since no towels hanged in the shower were picked throughout our stay so it was definitely getting overlooked.
If you are planning on staying for a bit, do bring some supplies if you don't want to be sneezing or accidentally touching someone else's dinner. That way you get to enjoy all the other great aspects of the hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel, very classic, European style hotel, decent breakfast and a little gym that can get your whole body workout done. The room is very spacious and classic. Very friendly staff and I would definitely stay there again if I am in Montreal next time...
I liked the hotel location and facilities. The indoor pool was amazing and the live stage was so good. I would definitely visit here again and book the terrace view next time.
However, there are few things that I was very dissapointed.
The room was not managed well. There are white things are around the floors (it looks like painting or wall paper. I asked to change the room, but the new room has the same problem).
Hair dryer was phsically broken and not working.
Heater is not working and when I turn on, it is very noisy.
There was a party when we stayed and it was very noisy until almost 1 pm. We called at 12:30 and the reception said they send a security. However, it was still noisy after 30 mins).
This is a very clean hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The only reason I gave the amenities 4/5 was because the pool was not available but there was nothing advertising this fact when we booked.
Overall, a recommended hotel.
The booked king suit suite, the room size is large, suitable for family travel.
Canada does not provide disposable items by default. It is best to bring your own toiletries, especially slippers. There are no disposable slippers here. If you go to the front desk to ask for it, provide recycled foot cover (avoid the floor cold in winter)
This is generally only available at 3 pm. It is best to have an ihg member. Otherwise, you can't check in before 3 o'clock and you need to pay 25 CAD separately. When the hotel is busy, the member's late check-out cannot be used. This should be noted.
It is recommended to book a room facing the west side, and the sunset is very beautiful in the evening. If you are traveling by car, it is recommended to go to the park by the river, 5 minutes drive, there is a large green area, you can see swarms of wild Canadian geese.
The hotel is a good hotel in terms of quality and price.
What I didn't like was the insonorization of the room, it's well heard people speaking in the corridor, and the noise of the window.
The air conditioning is noisy and it did not work at the last 1/4 of the night (2 times I get up due to heat)
The breakfast is really middle.
The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.
I loved staying in the Hotel du Nord, that was very pleasant and comfortable. 24-hour coffee/hot chocolate, breakfast, bed, room temperature, and fresh air.
Everything was good quality, clean, fresh, and comfortable
The room is relatively small, but it is enough. The reception is also great, but the hotel is under renovation, which will have some impact. Overall, it is also very good👍

GGuest UserThere are many positives about this long term stay hotel. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. The hot buffet (included with the price of the overnight stay)is absolutely amazing, just that alone is worth staying there. Toasts, bagels, muffins, cereals, hot porridge, cheese omelette, plain omelette, boiled egg, sausages, bacon, … and a “make your own” waffle station with sauces, whipped cream and different toppings!!! The coffee and tea or hot water is available in the lobby 24/7! Inside my studio suite, there is a full kitchen with dishwasher, full size fridge and you can borrow an electric induction plate for cooking. The room is big, with a curtain dividing the sofa bed and the king size bed. There are two layers of blinds to ensure complete darkness when sleeping.
The only negative thing was that my hotel room was facing the main road and so there were cars going by every 3-5 mins in the middle of the night, and I heard all the cars that went by, even at 1:00am or 3:00am while I was trying to sleep!!! The next day, I asked for ear plugs from the reception and slept so much better! I should have asked for them when I checked in.
The water temperature of the indoor saltwater pool is not too cold, but not warm. I had a good swim. This hotel is less than two years old, so everything is new, clean and bright. Lots of families with young children stayed there on the weekend I was there. A special thank you to the friendly staff especially the one who assisted me with my luggages.
GGuest UserUrban oasis, up at penthouse level with a beautiful outdoor landscape and water features in the heart of downtown Montreal. It’s located directly across from Central Train Station and metro station. Spacious, clean contemporary interior with large, comfortable beds and linen.
GGuest UserThe location and staff of the hotel were great, but the facilities were very outdated. It was disappointing that when I looked out of the window, I could only see the wall, and as soon as I opened the door, the bed was right there, which was regrettable.
Due to the fact that there are three hotels with the same name in downtown, it is important to double-check the address and make sure you find the correct one.
XXunxiangleComing to the city of ghosts, there is no loneliness anymore, everything is brilliant
Location:
The hotel is located in the most central location of the ancient city, very eye-catching, and it is within walking distance to the surrounding areas. The hotel has more than 600 rooms, and it feels like a maze when walking. There is a Starbucks on the first floor, and the restaurant is also a great location to watch the sunset.
Room size:
It's just that the room is too small. It's really too small. The suitcase is a bit hard to open. The same is true for the bathroom. If you are a little taller, you can only enter sideways.
Room facilities:
The facilities are still a little old, and there is no Bluetooth speaker. The heater is very loud.
Service:
The hotel is too big, and you still need to wait for a long time if you need a service.
Breakfast: Breakfast is charged extra, and it is a standard American Western food, but it wins in the excellent location. It feels like a vacation.
Gym and swimming pool:
When I went there, I happened to encounter the swimming pool maintenance. Unfortunately, I only swam for 15 minutes.
The gym facilities are still a little less, and the area is still too small.
Value for money: Overall, it’s pretty cool to live in a castle, but in all other aspects, it’s just average.
GGuest UserThe location of Travelodge was Central to the activities I had planned for my trip. The room was tiny. I had paid for a big room with double beds as the picture and description had said but what I got was a small room with one small bed. I had to share a bed with my friend. To say I was very surprised was an understatement
Why will trip.co. post a picture which is false?. They had same type of breakfast. Bread, boiled egg, cereal and fruit. If you don't eat bread or eggs, you will definitely be on your own. One thing i really enjoyed was the location. Will I use Travelodge next time? I doubt but you never know.
Llinlinlin_00The room is a little small, but the view is good. It is a bit inconvenient to change two elevators to go up and down the stairs. The front desk service is very thoughtful and polite, and there is a special car at the door. The location of the hotel is very convenient and quiet at night.
GGuest UserDear Le Dauphin Hotel,
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful stay I had at your establishment. The warm welcome, the impeccable service and the quality facilities far exceeded my expectations. My stay was most enjoyable, and I would like to thank the whole team for their professionalism and kindness. I will not hesitate to recommend your hotel to my relatives and I hope to have the opportunity to return soon.
Cordially,
Godfrey
GGuest UserWe stayed for 4 nights and the location is perfect. It's in between two metro stations, both are about 6-7 mins walk (Champ de Mars, and Saint Laurent) depends which line you are in. We arrived by train and took the metro at Bonaventure (this is connected to the Central station: ”Gare Centrale”) and arrived at Champ de Mars. There is a supermarket 5 mins away (”IGA”) and the airport bus station is by the hotel. Chinatown is 7 mins away and make sure you visit Sammi dumplings. There is a food court (”Le Central”) 5 mins away although we found it slightly expensive. The Old Port of Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica are about 15 mins away from the hotel.
Facilities: As a number of people said, the rooms are quite basic and need a lot of uplift. Our room doesn't have any sofa (which was different from the pictures here) but functional so there is no complain. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans. We cooked our dinner twice.
Staff and service: all staff are friendly and very helpful, gave advice on directions and always have a smile.
ZZhangWe had an outstanding stay at Sonder Apollon in Montreal. The location was perfect, situated in a vibrant neighborhood with easy access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. The modern design of the apartment was both stylish and functional, providing a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment.
The space was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, even though we didn't have time to cook. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as high-quality linens and toiletries.
Check-in and check-out were seamless with Sonder’s efficient system, and the customer service was excellent. Whenever we had questions or needed assistance, the team was quick to respond and very helpful.
Overall, our experience at Sonder Apollon was fantastic. It felt like a home away from home, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to the city!
