Family Friendly Hotels in Riau Islands, Indonesia

I travelled with my dad for a 2 day 1 night trip to Batam. Upon arriving at the Radisson Golf and Convention Center Hotel via Grab, it took about 15 minutes from Batam Center. The reception check in was seamless, and the staff were very polite. However, the lift sensor didn't work very well when pressing the button. The amenities were good, but it would be great to include items such as a comb or cotton buds. This wasn't my first time staying here, but I hope for some upgrades of the bathroom or better cleaning, as noticed some signs of aging. Hotel breakfast had a wide variety of options, which was impressive. Additionally, the massage services at the hotel were excellent.

Had a very good stay in Banyan Tree, we like the spacious villa either our own jacuzzi. Room was clean and appreciate the staff to prepare our room for night setup, with the mosquito nets and cools. Food was good and had good selection too. Spa massage was also good. You can ask the buggy to drive you anywhere within the resort and their sister hotels. Staffs are all friendly and always greet with a smile. Just take note a lots of insects so bring your insect repellent. And don’t have complimentary shuttle from ferry terminal, its chargeable. The TV is old model so cant cast your phone to watch Netflix. The telephone line will cutoff during rainy days, however, whatsapp service and will still be contactable with the reception. Overall a good stay if you want a private and relaxing holiday.

A Nice ambience relaxed resort. Room looks exactly like the posted photos. Got a small kitchen. Quiet on weekdays. Shower water pressure is strong and service crews are warmth and friendly. Arrival pickup and drop off saves a lot of hassle. Far from city. If you have a few days in Bintan, you can book a private one day tour which will bring you to various sightseeing spots. Guests from Cassia can use swimming pool and spa facilities at Angsana resort. Breakfast at Angsana Resort - Lotus, quite a good spread. Lunch at Vista within it's own premise - fried kway teow is delicious and dinner at Xana, western grill meat and seafood near beach - Pizza and Lamb chop is great (if served on hotplate will be perfect cause food went cold pretty fast 😅). Cassia has also some activities set each day, guests can sign up with friendly front desk. Next to the swimming pool, there is a game corner, for playing chess and snooker. Also a turtle pool not far away, children will be delighted to see turtles swimming. Great place to stay for a few days.

New hotel but many rooms for improvement. Pillow case is stained upon check-in. Door lock malfunction on second day and they took quite a long time to fix it, with my room left opened. There’s loud drilling on the second floor due to renovation still ongoing. My baby sneezed many times at the lobby. There’s no hair conditioner. Phone also cannot work to call other rooms, reception and housekeeping. Bathrobe is smelly. Room facing a construction site. Unfortunately both side of the hotel rooms facing construction. Site. Location is quiet though which is good for sleep. Room level is by card access only so better to get same level if you book a few rooms. Car park security guards to ensure safety. Breakfast is good with a wide selection of food. Porridge is good and noodle soup. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

The entire stay was amazing. It was visible that employees were struggling to communicate to us in English but you can also see that they are determined to relay the necessary information with manners and patience which I really appreciated. Some things to really appreciate is that they had prepare birthday decorations upon request which where are really cute and the restaurant aswell which was the best. I would like to thank Dini, Leni , Icha, Tila and Indra as they really went over the top for the celebration at The El lagoi beach club please do reward them with a recognition if you could as the service was top notch. Some things to note however the aircon in our room was really hot it was at a temperature of 26 degrees and we called the reception about it and someone had come to repair it note that this was at 12am midnight. I appreciate the prompt action but however after trying to fix it the whole night the temperature remained the same. I would prefer the course of action to be changed for this situations like giving an upgrade of the room or changing to the exact type of room. For the cleanliness it was all okay except that the cabana was fully soaked for the 2nd and 3rd day as it was raining. We chose this room specifically for the cabana and we weren’t able to utilise it. Most importantly is that there was a cockroach in the bathroom.

I book 3 room for this trip and informed the hotel that I will be celebrating bday for my husband. It was very nice for the hotel to prepare cake for my husband unfortunately my brother in law did the check in before my arrival. And the room the hotel prepared the cake was taken by my father and mother in law. A bit disappointed for this. Overall the staff is friendly. There was twice the staff came in the room to do some check and repair but they wore shoe in the toilet and caused footprint at my hotel and corridors. The location of the hotel is far from the major attractions after check in we jx spend time at the hotel areas. There were some activities to do. Majority of it need to pay extra. The free one were not very well maintained. Eg pool table, missing ball.

The rooms were spacious and Montigo kindly provided a free room upgrade for our trip :) as a result, my parents really enjoyed the private swimming pool and the view as they are not comfortable swimming in the public pool. Sahrul our receptionist was very kind and helpful. Riyan who was driving our tram was warm and friendly which made our trip better - we always looked forward to meeting him. The staff were warm and friendly + there was sufficient space to get food. The staff at the spa were very understanding when I had to change treatment due to my sunburn and were flexible in making concessions.

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at Holiday Inn Resort Bintan. Cleanliness was generally good, although the floor was still a little dusty. One small inconvenience was the lack of hooks in the toilet to hang towels, and the pillows were too soft for our liking—made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. For a 5-star resort, the complimentary toiletries were minimal (only toothbrush and toothpaste provided), and there was no iron or bathrobe in the room, although an iron and board can be requested. The resort is not located near food outlets, so transport is needed if you want to explore outside. That said, the in-room dining exceeded our expectations—the steak is a must-try, absolutely superb! The resort also offers many facilities, which kept us occupied throughout our stay. Big shout-out to the resort crew—they were incredibly helpful and responsive, even assisting with printing our boarding pass and explaining the complimentary land transfer. One area that could be improved is the ferry bus arrangement. It got quite crowded during boarding and we didn’t realize a second bus was coming, so our group got split up unnecessarily. It would be helpful if a staff member could assist in organizing guests. Despite the few areas for improvement, we definitely plan to return. The hospitality and facilities made it a memorable stay!

Overall was good. Food was okay. Gym didn't look like the photos. The rooms were not bad with a nice view and toilet was spacious.

Stayed at The Residence over 3 day.l Staff attitude was good all round - everyone took ownership of their respective roles from the concierge through to Front Desk. Despite the distance from the ferry terminal if you come by BBT, The Residence is self-sufficient w activities for adults and kids. It's tranquil and a blissful sanctuary for a restful break. You could also arrange excursions through the hotel. Rainy season is from Oct to April. Check out activities thru WhatsApp comms. Take the provided bicycle or just walk through the farm and ask the staff there about feeding chickens, rabbits and Tilapia. Or understand the role of the farm in relation to the restaurants. Nothing is perfect but you'll definitely be won over by the earnestness of the staff.
