Wuzhen is often dubbed a ‘Venice of China’ It’s well worth a visit to its charming old residence. Nearby, visitors will find places for al fresco meals, with delicious dishes served as you sit on wooden benches with a view of the tower temple, willow trees, bridges, river and pagodas. The town perhaps only truly feels serene in the early mornings and evenings, when crowds are largely absent. Day-trippers will likely miss the best times, when ambling around the ancient town becomes a quieter, contemplative affair. I went to Wuzhen for two days, one night with four people and stayed in the homestay with scenic view for one night, four Xizhamen, boating, morning tea, mostly cost-effective. You need to make an appointment to have breakfast here. The breakfast was well presented. We ate, sat down and stayed for a long time.

It's a lovely stay at Hotel Hao, everyone was accommodating and helpful to us with our needs. Room has slight soundproofing issues but nobody was really noisy. The street is perfect distance from cultural area nearby. Will stay again!

I had a great stay at this hotel! It’s extremely convenient for those arriving on late flights. It’s clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast offers a good variety of options, and it’s especially family-friendly as kids eat for free. Overall, excellent value for money. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip!

That is why I took a picture of her name tag so I can mention her here in this review Location: Great 👍! Walking distance to shopping malls, pedestrian shopping streets, and the west lake. 7/11, restaurants beside the hotel. Buffet breakfast included, well worth it at 59yuan because of the numerous selections. Also had buffet seafood dinner that has unlimited famous hairy crab, a wide selection of food at 150 yuan only, shockingly cheap. Enjoyed taking videos of the robot delivering our food ordered from outside the hotel also picture attached

Newly renovated hotel with the strategic location. About 4 intersection walk to Metro. There was only one staff can communicate in English. Our twin beds room was large with separate shower and bathroom. Free complementary drinking water and coffee. Our room located in the back side face to the construction site. It’s quite noisy cause it work from early morning till the late night. The highlight on the hotel was the restaurant. Variety of food for breakfast and the guest can be able to see the late view.

The hotel room is clean and spacious. Hotel staff are friendly and provide good service. This is my first time travel to China, and this is the first hotel I had stayed in China. I’m impressed with this experience.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The staff were super attentive, providing exceptional service that made us feel at home. The location is a short 1-min walk to 西栅 entrance. Room was clean and cozy. Highly recommend this hotel for a delightful experience!

Dongpo Hotel is located right smack and within walking distance to the Xihu Park. A 5mins stroll to the boat and tram/buggy ride around or across the lake. All around the hotel there are souvenir shops, snack shops and many eateries. Including the several malls surrounding it. There is also a big apple shop nearby amongst the many brands. As for the stay in the hotel, amenties are clean. However, do note when booking a non-window room, it will be very warm with little ventilation. And in winter the aircondition is default heater. So if you prefer the room cooler, please consider the window ones. Generally, the aircon does not have smoke smell, however you will have smokers at the lift lobbies. So do be prepared for that. Would strongly suggest the hotel to keep the lobby smoke-free with a fine of sorts and create a smoking room, so that when one books a non-smoking room, that level is free from smoke. Apart from those discomfort, would definitely recommend the hotel to those intending to tour around the Xihu Scenic area

Best hotel I've stayed thus far! The service rendered by the front desk was excellent. They are polite, helpful & friendly. Feel free to ask them questions when you have doubts. They will be more than willing to help. In the premise, they have self laundromat & gym. The cleanliness & comfort of the room were superb! The water flow was strong! I'll definitely come back to the same hotel if i were to visit Hangzhou again! Thanks for the great service!

Check in was a breeze and the reception staff are helpful and speak some English. I was able to extend my stay from two to three nights no problem. The room was bright, clean and spacious with a nice hot shower and robes, slippers ad toiletries all provided. The hotel is easy to find and is in a great location. Very close to Wulin Square Metro and a gentle 30 minute walk to the West Lake. I didn't take the breakfast option but there's a cafe with espresso machine that serves OK coffee. Theonly thing I missed was a safety deposit box in the room but apart from that, the Pagoda was great and I'd happily stay there again.

Room was spacious for our family for 4 and bed was very comfortable. There is even a partial view of West Lake from our room. Staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast buffet choices are good and food is delicious. As the hotel is located within shopping district/pedestrian streetwalk, you will need to walk about 5 min to the pick-up area to board a taxi.

The hotel is located in a quite strategic location and it was at Exit B on Ding an road station. There was an upward escalator only but none downward escalator. Therefore, if you have big luggage then please be informed. The hotel lobby seems very stuffy. Feeling breathless if it stays there for a longer period. During registration, there was constant interruption from the travel agent promoting their package which is truly annoying. I was a bit disappointed as I came here to celebrate my birthday during my stay. No upgrade or special or compliment offered by the hotel which is truly disappointing despite the fact that I did mention it on my booking. However, the room was spacious. Strong aircon with a good strong shower. The room was equipped with an air purifier and even disinfectant machine. Disposable toothbrushes and indoor shoes were given as complimentary. A comfortable bed with two big pillows per bed. My room doesn't come with breakfast. In house guests will only need to pay 36 RMB to dine in. However to me, the food was simple and there was not much variety. You can actually check the foods before deciding to dine in. Overall the stay with Merchant Marco Edgelake hotel is still considered pleasant. Front counter staff needs to improve their services. Travel agent staff should not interrupt the guest while during registration. Be professional.

Though located at the quieter part of Xiza Wuzhen, we like the peacefulness and calm at night. The luggages were transported to the hotel after check-in at the main tourist centre. We explored in the day before picking up the luggages at the lobby at night. The hotel's breakfast was at ZhenShui hotel 100m away. It was a great breakfast with a variety of food. I think it is better to eat there than at the popular ZaoChaKe where you can pay on your own to try the traditional breakfast just for experience. Overall, nice stay, warm hospitality.

The hotel is very nice in many ways. The hospitality, the breakfast, and the location exceed my expectation. Only my room carpet looks old with stains. It would be better if that can be replaced with wood floor or high traffic carpet. Overall it’s a great place to stay. I’ll definitely recommend to my friends.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit the Wuzhen historical site. The facilities are top-notch, and the rooms are well-maintained. The breakfast options are excellent. The hotel is located in a quiet area within the historical district, offering beautiful scenery. This allows you to enjoy a peaceful morning inside the historical district. While it is not the cheapest option in the area, it is definitely worth the price.

The boss is a very honest man and also very helpful. He goes the extra mile to help you with anything that you need. Just inform him what your need or where you would like to go and he will recommend the best method and even help to arrange for transportation, services etc at the best value price. The hotel is located just 300meters walk away from the Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area ticketing centre. Though it is not located inside the scenic area, it is worth staying here because there are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, massage parlours, and traditional costume and make up shops that you can get better price than within the scenic area. The hotel owner also helped to arrange a rickshaw to bring us tour nanzha(south part of Wuzhen) which depicts more of the lifestyle of the local people with a few nice areas for photography and to buy local produce. Many chinese dramas were also filmed at Nanzha area which the rickshaw rider explained very well but in mandarin chinese. He also helped to take nice photographs for us. The hotel owner also helped to book a car from Wuzhen to Tongli at a reasonable price. If you are travelling from either Hangzhou or Suzhou to this hotel, i would recommend that you give the hotel owner a call and ask him to arrange for a car to get you from those places to Wuzhen especially if you travel in groups of 2-4 persons because the hotel owner is able to get a reasonably priced car. Overall, i would stay in this hotel again if i visit Wuzhen again, because of the owner’s great hospitality and service.

Hotel is like a 10 minutes walk from Wuzhen scenic area (west part). Everything was fine, employees were very nice. They have a delivery robot which is convenient. It’s allowed to smoke in the room, so it had a bit of cigarette smell. Also toilet in the room has only a glass door, but it was not a major problem. In any case this seems to be the standard in Chinese hotels. Breakfast was okay, not many western options, but it was fine in general.
