Shirahama Key Terrace Hotel Seamore
4.4/5356 Reviews
Key Terrace Hotel Seamore is a really lovely, modern and chic hotel in the south of Wakayama Prefecture. We stayed in a sea view room with Tatatmi area, and booked dinner at one of the two traditional restaurants within the hotel complex. First, the views are wonderful. Taking a relaxing moment at the infinity footbath, or a drink in the beer garden at night are absolute musts to enjoy the sights. You can also visit the underwater observatory, or use the onsen facilities. Some other reviews have mentioned, unfortunately, the place is surrounded by nature, and that means bugs. They're like cockroaches but not. If you're creeped out by things that scuttle, don't go to the outdoor onsen. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to Sandanbeki caves, and a five minute walk to the fisherman's wharf. A short car ride will take you to Adventure World. within the hotel there are lots of facilities for enjoying your night for families or groups of friends. There's also a karaoke room on the 3rd floor (book in advance). Dinner was phenomenal. We had a selection of foods from the region, including freshly caught abalone and a freshly prepared mackerel sashimi (the head of which they turned into a soup for us once the sashimi was gone). The buffet at breakfast has a mix of all Japanese standards and Western styles. There's also the delicious pastries of Tettei bakery inside the hotel if you wanna buy something for the drive back. Would go back and would recommend the hotel to friends who are looking for a great stay in Shirahama.
Kamenoi Hotel Nachi Katsuura

The room in the Japanese style room is not new, but the view was large and relaxed. The dishes were more delicious than I expected for evening breakfast. The volume was also full. I was glad that it was not a yukata but a room dress or a disposable slipper, not a vinyl slipper. The card attached to the slipper in the public bath is unkind. Why is it broken?

Outside the window is the sea, so you can see Asahi. Is it a little for those who care because there is no room bath? There was no cheek in the public bath, so bring it. The dryer was also in the room. Because the number of rooms is small, I think it will be quiet and calm without banquet guests. The number of breakfast items is small, but it was interesting to eat dried food while baking it yourself.

I stayed with my husband and wife on New Year's Eve. I heard it was like a business hotel, but it feels a lot old. I'm going to book a spacious room, but it's still small enough to find a place to put a suitcase. The bath used the inner hot water on the 2 floor, but it was a very good hot spring. Karan is 4 (?) and the dressing room is small, but the quality of the hot springs was very good and I was able to take a bath comfortably. The meal was a Viking with the next green water. I received a lot of New Year dishes. It was delicious. I thought it was cheap and OK here if I just went to sleep in the hot spring.
Comfort Hotel Wakayama

Simple hotel but super convenient, close to JR train station and there are many eateries nearby. The hotel even includes a complimentary buffet breakfast, nothing fancy but just a nice touch to start your day. Room is proper and clean. Note that the train station nearby is JR Wakayama station and not Wakayama-shi (Wakayama city) station on the private train line. I made a mistake myself and had to get here by another train ride. This is a very pleasant town. If you have time, take the JR line to Kishi station (貴志駅) to see its famous cat manager Tama.

I was attracted to the fact that I went to the only hotel on the island by boat and that the open-air bath in the sea was in front of me. First of all, I was surprised that the customer service at the boarding information center was as if I was at the front desk. Of course, it was great to pick you up from the subsequent boarding and guide you to the room. I happened to stay near my 60th birthday, and I was impressed by the unexpectedly celebrating flowers in my room. The hall and the rooms were bright, spacious and spacious, and there was no place with a feeling of oppression. I don't usually use the lounge, but this time it was comfortable and I visited many times. The excitement of the mountain walking path from the rooftop and the smell of sulfur made the footbath at the appropriate temperature good. The desired open-air bath was so comfortable that I didn't want to go up forever. Is the sleeping bath also a tongbi in the sky? Was flying while crying and healed. It was worth coming from afar. I will invite someone this time.

It is about 5 minutes walk through the street that is not vibrant like the shutter street in front of shingu station. I didn't have much expectations, but when the hotel approached, the building was clean and this was quite good. The first floor is mainly a parking lot (there are other parking lots), and the front desk is on the third floor. There is a feeling of cleanliness at the front desk with a considerable size. I think the staff is also great. The room was on the 5th floor, but I was surprised to enter the room. The room has an area of more than 20 square meters and is relaxing. The step is between the boards. It is a double and semi-double twin bed in the back. If the bath in the room is also large, and I thought I would put it loose, there is also a large bath on the 3 floor. The large bath is large and the bathtub alone can put about 10 people loosely. The washroom is also equipped with a partition wall, and about 10 people can be used at a time. Breakfast was also rich in number of items and provided us with enough satisfaction. There are Kumano Hayatama Taisha shrine and kamikura Jinja shrine nearby, so it is also convenient to visit Kumano Sanzan. I stayed at various national hotels, but it was an impressive hotel including Cospa.

Only cash is accepted, which is not very convenient. The location is okay, the public transportation from Kiikatsuura and Daimonzaka is fairly convenient. There is a convenience store diagonally across from the family store. There is not much food and the environment is very comfortable. We ordered dinner included, which was quite rich and used to eating. Breakfast was more difficult to eat. The eggs were raw. In addition to the limited time for breakfast and dinner, there is also a limited time for bathing. Bathrobes and towels are charged separately, about 200 yen each. The service attitude of the hotel staff is very good, although the language is not good, only a little English. Hot water is provided in the hotel lobby. It is more like a dormitory, and the facilities are still very new. The soundproofing of the door is not very good.
Hotel Urashima

10 This is my first visit in a year. Even if you use a car or public institution, it takes 8 time, so it's hard to go. However, it is an inn that makes you want to come again. After all, Hotel Urashima is a hot spring! The cave hot springs while watching the rough waves of the Pacific Ocean can be said to be unique. Not only that, it is a theme park of hot springs such as Takinoyu that dyes out between the rocks and Iso no Yu where hot and lukewarm water can be alternately enjoyed. Considering the accommodation costs, you can enjoy this kind of hot spring, so it feels like it comes with a ”bonus”. I think it's a sufficient level to think so. For those who want to eat in a calm space or want to eat sophisticated dishes, we recommend a course without meals. Because it is like a hotel in the whole peninsula, it is close to the front desk and the main building near the forgotten cave, or it is close to Genbu cave, but there is a distance to the cherry blossom building far from the hotel entrance. The view from the main building is the quiet inland sea, and the view from the Nagisakan and the Sanchokan has a unique personality on the Pacific side. I want to go again 10 years later.

Wonderful location. Very clean. Good service. Friendly and helpful staff. We experienced a mild earthquake in early morning. There was announcement after the alarm to the hotel room after the shake. However, it was only in Japanese. It would be better if the announcement could be in English as well. Anyway, the reception took our call and explained the situation quickly.
