Barceló Carmen Granada boasts stunning views of the Alhambra and a prime location that allows for easy exploration of Granada's historic sites. The hotel's rooftop pool and terrace are perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. While most guests appreciate the modern amenities and courteous service, limited parking can be a slight inconvenience. Overall, it earns a well-deserved 4.5 out of 5 stars.

This hotel is only suitable for tour groups! It is really not suitable for individual travel! 1. The service is not comprehensive! No bottled water in the room! 2. It is far from the city, and the taxi costs 10 euros. 3. The breakfast is good, but the quality is average! 4. When checking out, they said we used the drinks in the refrigerator!

There is a pedestrian street at the door, with many cafes and supermarkets. The hotel is a converted building on the street. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to the palace church... To go to other places to take the bus, you have to walk out of the pedestrian street, which is quite tiring

The hotel was a surprise. Great bedroom, good mattress, and pillows, everything looks new inside. The common areas need a refresh, a renew. The cleaning service works very well. The hotel have the kindness to take notice of the guest's birthday and left a gift on the bedroom which is always a plus. The location is very good with bus, train, tram, and subway on the other side of the street. It was a pity that the garage doesn´t belong to the hotel and the price is higher than other parks on the neighborhood. A lower parking price with an electric vehicle charging point would raise the hotel to another level. We strongly recommend it!

The hotel is located next to the main road in the center of Gaddis. It is about 5-6 minutes drive from the Cathedral and the old town. There are many parking spaces around the hotel. The room is large and comfortable, the bed is good, and the shower is good.

I didn't know the geography of Granada, so I expected it to be a moderate outskirts, but I took the hotel, except that it was good to get through the highway when I visited Alhambra. It's far from the downtown area where people are gathered, and I struggled to move in many ways. And one big mall that you can't tell if you're open or not, and one big restaurant opposite it. And it's really nothing, nothing, except for the mercadona near the residential area. In conclusion, the location can't give you a good score, and I had a pretty hard time coming and going to the downtown area of Granada, where I was taking a bus using a car. Please calculate the route between the main tourist points and the hotel in advance and move. The hotel overall was a bit old style, but the room size was larger than any hotel I have stayed in Spain so far. I was on a honeymoon, but I was assigned two single beds and asked me to change to a double bed room. There was no work, and I was able to have a satisfactory bed. Parking is 16 euros a day, and the system is an old-fashioned system with tickets, so you have to pull out meaningless ticket paper every time you enter, and when you go out, you press the bell and say the lake of the room. Our couple were not sensitive to noise, but the hotel structure was a shared structure in which the noise in the lobby was upstairs, and we were right above the group guests who were drinking late at night in the lobby. It was a location room. I understand that it was inevitable in the structure, but it was not a very pleasant experience that I could hear the noise of those people in the hotel room. And the other thing that was absurd was that they had slippers and robes, and they were paid three euros for them and they were packaged. My wife needed slippers as a necessity, and she paid for the package and was able to provide a little better quality slippers than the one-time slippers provided by other hotels in the usual way. The experience that I had to pay and use slippers and bathrobes for 3 euros at a 5 star hotel could not be said to be absolutely good. Because I'm writing this review in the next hotel I checked in, wearing a bathrobe and slippers that are free of charge at this hotel.

AArp303This hotel does a really good job of capturing the “Hard Rock” vibe so if you’re into that you’ll enjoy your stay at this property. Lots of memorabilia dotted around, great music and some lovely touches around the hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room which was small but furnished to a good standard with a very comfy bed. Bathroom was well equipped and the balcony was a decent size. Jukebox feature on the TV is excellent and allows you to get the party started before you go out or continue it after hours in your room. Having YouTube on the TV is handy too. The pools were good, there’s 2 pretty large ones and they look great during the day and night. The rooftop deck is quite chilled, it has a bar and an infinity pool with beds to suit everyone really, lots of variety so standard cushioned beds and lower body shaped beds. There are several “Bali beds” that come with a 150 Euro minimum spend. Sounds like alot but the food & drink isn’t cheap so can be done relatively easily if you plan to stay at the pool all day and have lunch. The pools are shallow but a good size and the infinity pool offers a brilliant view over the second pool area. The second pool area features a stage and DJ booth at the top of the pool and is louder. The pool parties that Hard Rock offer are held here during the day as well so bear that in mind when selecting your bed. There is an “Eden Cafe” in this area offering burgers and the like during the day and the main “Sessions” restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner too if you book half board. We booked bed & breakfast so didn’t eat dinner at the property. We did have lunch on our first afternoon at the Eden cafe and it was very good. The breakfast offers an excellent selection & its tasty. They also have a musicians playing a different instrument each day on the outdoor terrace which is a nice touch. The bar area in the lobby lacks atmosphere and is a little on the slow side to get a drink. The cocktails are good though and its worthwhile having a drink there, especially if a live band is on. Service at the hotel was very good overall and we very much enjoyed our stay. The bellhops in particular are excellent. They provided us with a “courtesy room” on checkout day (we had a late flight) which was a nice touch after having checked out already and been out all day. The location of the hotel was further out than we thought and required you to either walk through a large, unkept subway or walk down narrow busy roads with several hills. The subway route is best and takes around 15 mins to Porto Banus but is not ideal at night. We had no issues and saw no undesirables but I do think Hard Rock could do more to make that subway more inviting (clean it, add their branding, have music playing etc). I don’t think they own it but perhaps they should take ownership of how it looks at the very least as it could quite easily put some people off staying at the hotel. The “Casino Marbella” is attached to the hotel. It’s a nice Casino but lacks atmosphere. You also need your passport to enter (I had to go back to the room) so bear that in mind too. There is a handy supermarket opposite the hotel that has a great selection of snacks, ice cream, toiletries, booze etc plus it’s really cheap. There’s a lovely little bar called “Park Lane Sports Bar” that is family run and really charming. The drinks are cheap and the people who run it are very friendly. The resident dog “Lolo” is also quite a character and really makes the bar. We also ate at a lovely little Spanish restaurant called “Noto” - the prawns, pizza and service was excellent. There are more luxurious hotels to stay in Marbella and hotels in nicer locations but for a party vibe, good food & drink, strong pool decks and friendly service the Hard Rock is a solid choice.

GGuest UserCute hotel. The rooms are decently big to have luggage and even move around. No kettle or coffee in room which was a bit of disappointment but they have water filter on every floor so that was a plus. Toiletries not provided in room but you can ask the reception for toothbrush etc. location is a few hundred meter walk from Santa Justa Station. Cathedral is walkable as well. Takes about 20 minuets to reach. Other attractions are also explorable on foot.

CCampanillaA very complete hotel, with indoor and outdoor pools, free spa, entertainment (very simple), the apartments are up-to-date with all the details, they are spacious, new and clean and you have a butler service via WhatsApp that works very well. The staff very friendly. There is free parking in the area without problems. The location is close to the Santa Ana area and close to supermarkets and restaurants. The hotel itself has a supermarket and restaurant that I did not visit. The only thing I would change is that the arrival has to be after 4:00 p.m. and the departure before 10:00 a.m., so you lose a lot of time during your stay.

RRiazWe came here from a budget hotel so our thoughts on entering the room first were wow and amazing. I've stayed in 5 star hotels few times and also 1 star hotels so have an expectation of rooms and service. The room is spacious. The bed is big and comfortable. Got a good rest. There is a comfortable couch, big TV, separate toilet, shower and bath tub, mini kitchen area and AC. Room: Spacious, modern, comfortable, dining table but only one chair... Mini Kitchen: There was a mini fridge, microwave, kettle and sink but no cutlery which seemed strange as you would expect these things to be there. You had to request cutlery etc.. at reception and collect from the buffet area yourself. Shower: The shower was awesome. Spacious with overhead and handle shower. Lots of toiletries. Could have benefitted with more hangers. Has an appealing deco. Reception: Took some time to check in with people before us in a queue. Maybe checkin can be streamlined more especially if all prebooked and prepaid. We were able to add late check out till 5pm for about £20. We came back to the hotel before 5, I asked for some tea bags, but was given a key card, which was weird but just misunderstanding but it meant wasting few minutes we needed for packing. Then our key card wouldn't work on the door which took another few minutes to fix. We were able to get some hot water for the tea afterwards which was kind of them. There is a gym but didn't get chance to use it. Some staff has good English so communication isn't an issue and they will help you with what you need.

MMariaThis is the only option for overnight stay near Malaga airport. We had problems with check-in. We booked a room through trip.com and the hotel staff could not process our reservation correctly. The problem was resolved in about an hour. The hotel itself is quite good, however, despite the fact that it is located only one and a half kilometers from the airport, you will not get to the airport without a taxi - there is no sidewalk along the highway, no pedestrian path.

FFranfromivegillThis is a lovely hotel…. Sp pretty with columns and alcoves. For the first night I booked dinner B&B….. the food was delicious! Dinner was 5 courses but included the best Broccoli au Gratin I ever tasted and included a glass of red wine. I expected the wine to be tough but it was actually very good! I did not try the open air swimming pool but in this heat it was an option … nearby beach was crowded and with fascinating container port nearby I found it hard to believe the water was bathing quality! 8€ taxi ride from bus station. Staff were unfailingly helpful and courteous. Next time I will ask for a room with a mountain-view. I stayed a second night … trip charged me a higher price? I also took their Day Excursion to Morocco…€72 but add on €40 for tips! It included return ferry, transport, guide and Moroccan lunch ( delicious) … driver, his friend, guide and me on a 32 seater bus! Obligatory “buy a carpet” talk at “craft school” ( Omg I bought a carpet!) … hold out for the trinkets shop on the way out!!! 4 hours to get back through customs … queues…. But it was fascinating v and an unexpected glimpse into border mentality. 4 layers … Moroccan military check, Moroccan police check, Spanish police check and Covid certificate check and final layer …. Spanish guards emptying and checking every car and finding something to throw away from everyone!!!! Two days feels like a wonderful week!

GGuest UserIt was cute, is a nice place, great location , the staff could be nicer, and at breakfast they had only few cakes, things that you can make a sandwich with, and coffee and juice, pretty much that was all, no eggs. Overall was a cool stay , I didn’t had more options except this place for my date and I paid like 66€ for 1 night, which I found it a bit expensive for a hostel.

XX~tinaThe most bare hotel I have been to. Kettles need to be rented for a charge + deposit. There are no cups or cutlery in the room. Mini fridge is empty. I think I can understand why the hotel went for such measures given the crowd that is staying there - too many wild screaming Britons. Breakfast tables have nothing but a cloth. Lounge chairs are bare plastic making them very uncomfortable to use. Most of the chairs are in fact not available for use because guests dump their towels to reserve them and then not show up for hours. Staff allow this behaviour. The loud entertainment went on till 23:30 (accompanied by partying guests next door) so if you want to sleep any time before that - forget it, it's like trying to sleep inside a night club. Beach towels are not provided, bathroom towels cannot be taken out so if you didn't bring your own - tough. It is a beach property but the beach is private and hotel guests do not get any discounts. The shower was hot and had good pressure but there was hair left in the drain. Beds seemed good at first but I woke up with back pain. Went up to take a look at the roof terrace which looked lovely but we didn't stay for a drink. All in all the hotel was not for us and certainly would not recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing place.

GGuest UserVery nice holiday apartment complex with outdoor pools and indoor fitness pool plus Sauna & Jacuzzi (must Book session in advance to avoid overcrowding - good idea I think) Staff all friendly and helpful, studio apartment spacious, clean and well equipped. Free parking, restaurant on site plus convenience store, takeaway restaurant, bar, etc. 5 mins walk to a nice beach. Helpful to have a car if you wish to visit lots of different places though. Can be a little bit noisy with other guests coming back to apartments late at night especially as windows are just single glazed. Can't be helped though. Would definitely consider staying again, if the price is right! Thank you so much a nice stay.

FFrequentTravellerFlowerCleanliness: The room and the bathroom was spotless and very spacious for the price we pay. Can not fault it at all Location: The hotel is on a corner of roads. It wasn’t easy for us to spot the first time when your driving. You have to park and walk, and then you will see a sign for the hotel. There is no free street parking unless you park after 2030-0730, but during the day you will struggle. The hotel provides parking but for an additional fee. There is also a supermarket next door that serves cheap or reasonable shopping items which we used. Service: The staff were lovely during check in and check out. The hotel had its own restaurant and the staff over there were lovely. Amenities: The hotel has its own private swimming pool on the first floor. It’s not heated so we didn’t use it as the weather wasn’t warm either. The room had towels and toiletries provided including a hair dryer. There was running hot water. Downside: I couldn’t say anything bad for about the hotel. For the price we paid, we experienced only the best. The only issue we had was parking since we didn’t want to pay the additional fee but other than that, I couldn’t complain about the hotel at all
