It's a 5 minutes walk to the airport. It's a very clean, well run hotel that is modestly priced. I wanted somewhere very close to the airport and wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to others.

Where to start... I had high expectations for Radisson Blu, but my stay was pretty disappointing. First off, check-in was delayed because the rooms weren’t ready, and even after waiting, they still weren’t properly cleaned. There was even an empty milk carton left on the desk, which didn’t inspire much confidence in their housekeeping. The room itself was pretty dull, aside from the great view. It also needed some serious maintenance—bits of wood were coming off, and the paint was peeling in places. The biggest issue was the water from the taps—it came out brown, which was a major red flag. Overall, for the price, I expected much better. I wouldn’t stay here again when there are likely better options out there.

Great for a short term stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was right outside the staircase and elevator and got very noisy from 5AM with employees moving equipment around. I suggest asking for a room further away so that you can get better sleep. Otherwise, a nice, hassle free stay 😊

About Singa Lodge - Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges in Port Elizabeth A quiet whisper of ocean wind, a gentle sun, covering the skin warm, and smiles that meet you at every step exactly this was how our unforgettable journey to Singa Lodge began. This hotel has become a place of recreation for us, not just a place of recreation, but a real oasis, where every detail breathed harmony and hospitality. The first thing that conqueres here from the threshold is family warm staff**. Their friendship was not indispensable: from sincere ‘Welcome!' to attention to the smallest requests seemed to guess our wishes before we could make them sound. There was no place for formalities, only sincere care, which turned four days into an endless dialogue of kindness. The hotel is located in a quiet area where even time slows its run. The morning walks along the ocean became a ritual: the infinite smoothness of the water, merging with the horizon, and the path, occupied by flowering bushes, as if created for meditation and conversation with itself. The noise of the riot replaced us with music, and the star sky on the evenings the most luxurious performance. The convenience of Singa Lodge location is difficult to overestimate: Only 63 rand for a trip to Uber from the airport. We have spent no minute on tiring transfers and the savings have invested in impressions. And they cost: Kragga Kamma Game Park, located 40 kilometers, gave meetings with giraffes, zebras and nostrils whose ̆ free spirit resonated with the atmosphere of the hotel itself free, wild, but cozy. Four days at Singa Lodge flew as moments, but left a trace comparable to eternity. This corner didn't just fulfill expectations he gave the feeling that we found a second house where even the ocean sounds like a cradle. Thank you for the moments that will become pearls in our memory! *P.S. When we left, we caught ourselves on the thoughts: ”Lion Roars” here yells not only the lion, but also the heart, falling in love with this paradise from the first glance. * 🌿✨

GGuest UserBartholomew's Loft isn’t just accommodation – it’s a standout experience that blends historic charm, practicality, and warm hospitality, making it my go-to recommendation for anyone visiting Grahamstown. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or for a cultural trip, this converted gem checks every box with style and ease. Unbeatable Central Location with Historic Charm Nestled in the heart of Grahamstown’s historic Artificer’s Square – the original 1820 settler artisan quarter – the property oozes character from its restored colonial architecture, wagon stones, and cobbled gutters. Its location is unbeatable: just a 5-minute walk to the city centre, 600m from the Cathedral in High Street, and 1km from Rhodes University, putting shops, restaurants, and landmarks within easy reach. Even better, the lively restaurant and bar scene is a short stroll away, while Sunshine Coast beaches are a manageable 37-mile drive for a day trip. Spacious, Well-Equipped Accommodation for Every Group The loft’s converted spaces are a highlight – once an old church, the property features double-volume living areas, exposed timber beams, and high ceilings that feel airy and welcoming. The self-catering units are incredibly spacious (the main loft sleeps up to 6 adults) with open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen areas perfect for groups. The fully equipped kitchens come with stoves, microwaves, fridges, and kettles, making meal prep a breeze. Beds are comfortable (some with electric blankets for chilly nights), and rooms include thoughtful touches like heaters, irons, and free toiletries. Private courtyards and garden access add to the peaceful vibe, while secure off-street parking gives peace of mind. Warm Service & Thoughtful Amenities The staff and hosts go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. Check-in is seamless, and their friendliness and willingness to help – from offering local tips to accommodating last-minute stay extensions with discounted rates – truly stands out. The amenities are tailored to comfort: free Wi-Fi throughout, DStv for entertainment, daily housekeeping, and a lovely outdoor swimming pool to relax in. For those on the go, breakfast is available (with a “breakfast to go” option), and dinner can be arranged upon request. Laundry facilities and a 24-hour front desk add extra convenience. Exceptional Value in a Unique Setting What makes Bartholomew’s Loft truly special is its balance of uniqueness and value. You’re not just booking a room – you’re staying in a piece of Grahamstown’s history, with all the modern comforts you need. The property’s cleanliness (rated 8.9 by guests), comfort (8.6), and value for money (8.5) speak for themselves, making it affordable without compromising on quality. It’s equally suited for families, friend groups, or visitors attending events like the Standard Bank National Arts Festival. For anyone visiting Grahamstown, Bartholomew’s Loft is a no-brainer. It combines historic charm, unbeatable location, spacious accommodation, and warm service – all at a great price. I’ve recommended it to friends and family and will always choose it for my return trips to this lovely city.

EEddieBA Pleasant Stay at Carslogie House, Port Elizabeth We arrived late at night and were warmly welcomed by the gentleman on duty, who was friendly and helpful, making us feel immediately at ease after a long drive. Our room was spacious, clean, and overlooked the pool, creating a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. All the facilities were excellent, and we appreciated being able to safely park our rental car inside the property. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, with a good variety of options and a thoughtful vegetarian choice for me. The setting was calm and comfortable, perfect for starting the day. The only issue we experienced was during breakfast service, where the staff seemed more focused on the larger groups and overlooked us for quite some time. We eventually had to go to the kitchen to place our order. It wasn’t a major problem, but it did stand out given how excellent everything else was. Overall, we had a very good stay at Carslogie House. The accommodation, location, and overall hospitality were all great.

AAlicePIntle boutique hotel is such a treat and hidden gem! Since arriving we only received the best service. There was a miscommunication with our initial booking but the wonderful staff sorted it very efficiently and even upgraded our room! The hotel is situated between the rolling hills and the ocean can also be seen! The nature and surroundings are beautiful and really relaxing! The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and had everything you may need. One suggestion would be to add some mats in the bathroom as the floor is very slippery after taking a shower. And now for the food!!! Wow! The dinner options were a great variety and of top quality! We had the sirloin steak and it was divine! The breakfast was filling and really delicious! We would definitely visit Intle again and stay for a longer period! And to proof how much we relaxed and enjoyed our stay, I didn’t even take any pictures! Guess you need to go and experience it for yourself! 😉

PPaetzoldWe have stayed here many time because it is a beautiful building in an excellent location. The general staff are outstanding and the food and rooms are amazing. Unfortunately the front desk is just not the same as the rest of the experience. When I wrote in to ask for an early check in I got no reply- on my arrival I asked about this and was told because I got no reply that means it’s fine. I find this odd as I explained that we were arriving after a three part flight over 18 hours. We have stayed here at least 3 other times and my comment for each time would be pretty much the same - I feel the front desk could do better to Mach their rest of the experience.

PPatricia KitshoffThe Premiere ICC Hotel is a fantastic choice, boasting a perfect location and amazing views that truly elevate the experience. The stay was enjoyable, but there were a few areas for improvement: Missing Amenities: We had to call to request gowns and slippers, which should ideally be provided automatically. One of the robes was still moist, suggesting it hadn’t been dried properly. Heating Issues: The heating either wasn’t working or we couldn’t figure out how to operate it, which made the room uncomfortable at times. Despite these issues, the hotel’s strengths make it a solid option, and with a little attention to detail, it could be even better.

DDONGHUASelf-driving Garden Avenue, depending on the positioning of the hotel. The location is good, go down a bit at N2. When I arrived at the hotel, I discovered that the hotel looks better than the pictures. I booked a family room, but it turned out to have three beds and a small garden with the side door open. The room is very spacious. The decoration of the hotel is very retro, and breakfast is generally a buffet. Overall, the price/performance ratio is high. It’s also great to go around. The location is good. Highly recommend the restaurant next to the hotel, the lamb shank is super delicious!

SSarah JoanOur stay at Barefoot was absolutely amazing and we loved the property and the fact that we were away from the hustle and bustle! The staff are fantastic and make you feel like family! Shout out to George, Olivia, Kellen and James! Our game drive on the property was one of the best I’ve experienced with James being so knowledgeable about different wildlife, plant life and nature conservation. We will definitely visit again. Thanks for making us feel so at home!

MMatthew JamesVery clean, very pretty small guest house, located not far from the beach. Note, you must drive everywhere after dark for your safety. Rooms were well appointed and clean but had a central chandelier which I headbutted everytime I went to the toilet during the night. On arrival the leady wasn't very welcoming leaving us sat in the car while she treble checked the booking. The house rules were rather passive agressive in tone but all in all a nice stay.
