We stayed there because other reviews mentioned very good cleanliness. However, the floors were filthy. A towel fell to the floor and it was covered in dust and gray instead of white afterward. It felt like walking on sand!
The hotel was nice and clean but the service was not even close. We have stayed here before and last time the staff was very nice and friendly. Both times we stayed was during the virus. The first time they said in advance we would have bag breakfast because of the virus. Ok no big deal. This trip this said there was a hot breakfast, yay, super excited. So we get up and go to the area and no breakfast. The man at the front desk seen me there looking for the food and says nothing. I get some orange juice, they had a machine out, and was like ok. My mom and me came back down to the area and she looks around and we keep looking at him and he says nothing. I then go to the front desk where he was and ask him for two towels because when we went to the pool the night before they didn't give us any towels and there was none at the pool so we had to use our towels from the room and then turn them in because of the rules with the virus. He then had an attitude with me and said I could have two if they just happen to have some? Well it is a hotel and you did take my towels last night so......I ended up getting the towels. Then I said well I guess we are heading to Wendy's to get breakfast since there is none here, the man at the front desk says nothing. Upon leaving we were talking to the cleaning lady, who was very sweet, and she said you had to go to a room down the hall way and ask for the breakfast, WHAT??!! Someone should of told us this, had signs put up or the man at the front desk should of told us for sure. But no, nothing! And by this point it was to late to get it because it was checkout time.

The Hotel was very clean. The service was very good. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had messed up the day of our check-in. They were very nice and helped us to get a room very late in the night. I would definitely recommend staying here.

ZZHIHUAWV very good local hotel, the price is cheaper, breakfast is also rich, I lived for 15 days, but it takes 10 days to check in again, very fantastic rules, often the room left to clean the paper is still warm, bathroom There are 3 sets of towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, mouthwash, moisturizer, hair dryer, soap, just like most American hotels, there are no slippers and drinking water.
GGuest UserIn January I rented 2 rooms for this past weekend off of trip.com as a nonrefundable booking so I paid for rooms at time of booking and money was immediately charged to my account. Got to hotel for check in, Sherri(sorry if spelling wrong) asked if I wanted to use card on file and I explained I already paid. She said it was a hold for Incidentals so I said ok. She said the computer wouldn't let her use that credit card so I scanned a different one. I then checked my credit card app to see how much hold for incidentals was and it showed being charged for both rooms for a higher price than what I paid. I asked her about it and she said the second room was unable to charge the original card so it charged to that credit card. I first explained it was all pre paid and showed her where it came out of my account in January and on top of that it also didn't make sense that the hotel amount was higher than what I booked at on trip.com which I also pulled up and showed her. She said that my my fault for ”using a 3rd party” because they cannot guarantee rates booked through them. She said I would have to contact them and I asked if she was saying trip.com was a scam and she said it was possible (even though trip.com is a well known booking site and I've never had a issue before). I explained I only thought the hold was for incidentals as she mentioned and was not expecting almost $300 more to be charged and she said there was nothing that could be done as her manager was not in until Monday and the assistant manager had recently quit and they were not allowed to contact their manager on her days off for any reason. I asked multiple times for her to contact her manager since this was a signifant problem as I had not expected a extra charge for the weekend and because I was from out of state it concerned me no one in charge would be available for another 3 days and by then I woukd be gone. She continued saying she was absolutely not allowed to contact her supervisor under any circumstances. Another coworker with her agreed with her. I will say neither employee was rude, but it is ridiculous there is no one they could call to get help. They said corporate would not be able to be of assistance then either and only thier manager who was not available until Monday and they were not allowed to contact on her days off. Other than that (and the fridge not getting cold until the last day).... the hotel, pool, and breakfast were all very nice.

MMandiPerfect getaway with my bestie! The hotel is gorgeous and you can tell the owners really care about the hotel and its appearance. The attention to detail is marvelous. It is reminiscent of a luxurious 1920s hotel. Think old Hollywood charm, but with all modern amenities. Free and ample parking. I stay exclusively in the Blennerhassett hotel when visiting Parkersburg. We called down to the restaurant to have brunch delivered to the room and also had dinner on the patio while a bluegrass band played. The food was hit or miss but the service was excellent and prices reasonable. Scott was our waiter and he was incredibly charming. Very sweet and made us laugh. This hotel rivals Omni hotels I have stayed in that are 3x the price. The gift shop has a self checkout option which was perfect for grabbing a last minute souvenir. The room and linens were so clean and cozy and the robes so luxurious that we decided to forego our morning plans to lounge around in the room. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel and have already booked my next stay when I’ll be attending the Blennerhassett by candlelight event. There are also tons of events hosted by the hotel. I intend to bring my girlfriends and my mama to the womens getaway weekend in April. The hotel is more than accommodations when visiting, it’s worth traveling just to visit the hotel. 10/10
JJunesdaughterThe convenience of staying right at the ****** was the best part of the stay. It was great to walk right up to our room after a fun night without having to go outside. But other than that it was just ok. The staff checking us in looked tired and worn down. They were clearly used to checking in people who stay at ******s often but this was new to us. When I said it was our first time here I would have appreciated some info about breakfast and maybe an offer for a players card. Some staff were new so learning the job is understandable, but it just looked like it had been a really long day. The room was fine. It was clean and comfortable. The ****** was a lot of fun. Breakfast the next am was pretty basic, cereal oatmeal, toast, bagels, muffins and yogurt. The host arranging it all was lovely and helpful. He found earl gray tea for me when I asked. It was a fun overnight at an ok hotel. Glad we gave it a try.
WWEIThis is the most beautiful hotel on this American itinerary. The hotel is located on a beautiful hillside. When we checked in at night, we searched for the hotel for more than half an hour. The sign on the roadside was not obvious. It took a few laps to find it. You almost gave up.
I like the hotel's internal and external environment. A typical American hotel is the same as other American hotels. There is no kettle, toothbrush and toothpaste, and other facilities are good.
The lounge upstairs of the hotel lobby is very impressive, and there is a swimming pool next to it. There is a golf course in front of the hotel, a small lake behind, and many sika deer by the road at night.
If not in a hurry, I really want to stay in this hotel for another day!
GGuest UserThe hotel was nice and we have stayed at Fairfield Inns before. However, the television was broken and needed to be replaced. There were lines on the display screen in two directions, a spot in the lower left hand corner where the television had been dropped or something hit the screen, and the remote control had a sticky substance on the back of it and had obviously not been cleaned. When my wife used the hair dryer, the plastic on the exterior of the hair dryer had separated and posed a potential hazard. The worst part of our stay was my wife finding a bug in the bed when she was straightening the bed for our departure.
The accommodations were not up to Marriott standards, but the desk clerk received our concerns well and apologized.
GGuest UserWe were expecting a no-frills experience, so that wasn’t the problem. The problem was the following: very loose electric outlets so it was difficult to plug in a Wi-Fi charger, broken tile on bathroom floor that was dangerous with a sharp edge. A live roach in the bathroom, a nonworking hairdryer, no Kleenex at check in and none even after maid service, a stark breakfast with no abailable cold water or juice and minimal choices. We stayed two days and some of the desk people were very kind and helpful. It was the facility that was subpar, even for an older place. Would’ve gladly paid a bit more to be more comfortable. Yes, the beds and towels and coffee were fine, btw.
GGuest UserGreat people and service came out to get breakfast and the maids were coming on shift one asked me if I needed anything I said yes and switched my towels out other than that left my room alone while I stayed which I find to be nice and gave a since a security and a respect for my belongings especially since I did not have to worry about nobody coming into my room and stealing my stuff. As for the breakfast it was nice but simple I would make one suggestion and it is adding a fruit basket so someone can have a banana or something but other than that kudos if I ever come back to this town I'll be coming here price is very reasonable thank you
