Very good, the laundry room and gym are free, but the breakfast is simpler, there is also a swimming pool and basketball court, basketball is also free

I recently stayed at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Romulus Detroit Metro Airport, and it was a fantastic experience from beginning to end! The convenience of this location, just minutes from the airport, made my travel stress-free. Despite being so close to the airport, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, allowing me to rest peacefully.
From the moment I checked in, the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met. Their professionalism and warmth made me feel welcomed and well cared for throughout my stay.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The bed was plush and inviting, providing the perfect environment for a great night's sleep. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including the fast Wi-Fi and the in-room coffee maker, which made my stay even more convenient.
The complimentary breakfast was another highlight of my stay. With a nice variety of options, from fresh fruit to hot items like eggs and waffles, it was a great way to start the day before heading out.
The shuttle service to and from the airport was prompt and efficient, making my travel logistics a breeze. The drivers were courteous and made sure I arrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare.
Overall, my stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Romulus Detroit Metro Airport was nothing short of excellent. The combination of friendly service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient amenities made it an ideal choice for anyone traveling through the Detroit Metro Airport area. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on future trips!
During my recent layover in Detroit, I had the pleasure of staying at the Delta Detroit Airport Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the efficiency and warmth of the staff stood out. The rooms were modern, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities a traveler could hope for. Given its proximity to the airport, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet my room was. The hotel's dining options were both convenient and tasty, perfect for those on the go. For travelers seeking a seamless and comfortable experience near Detroit Airport, I'd highly recommend the Delta Detroit Airport Hotel.
Quick check in and there is a shuttle to and from the airport. Location is near the airport and rental car locations. The beds were nice. The bathroom was a little dated, but still good for the money.
It is the same standard as the DoubleTree brand. It is very close to the business location and it is very convenient to arrange meals in this area. It is a little far from downtown Detroit, but it is convenient if you have a car.
The surrounding facilities are complete, and the supermarket restaurant gas station is all available. The front desk service is professional and the room is large and clean. Breakfast is not rich but the weight is sufficient. The restaurant has hot water and coffee black tea at any time. There are many companies within a 15-minute drive, suitable for business travel.
The hotel is just opposite the light rail airport station. You can walk to the light rail station from the airport. There is a shuttle bus to and from the airport every 20 minutes, and many crews stay overnight here.
The hotel room is like an old five-star hotel with outdated facilities in China. There are vending machines, microwaves and ice machines near the room. It's just that the hotel front desk is extremely inefficient. We arrived at 1 pm. The two groups in front of us were talking and laughing for more than ten minutes, and the guests who arrived by shuttle bus behind were left there, speechless.
Decent hotel to stay one night. Close to the airport and the shuttle service was very helpful. The room facilities were fine, but the cleanliness was not the best. There are some places to eat around the place, so it's another advantage. I will definitely stay here again if necessary.
It was a short stay but it was pleasant! I have stayed in hotels that were $600+/night that weren’t even as up to par. I enjoyed this hotel, it was clean, tidy, and had every necessity. I would stay again!

GGuest UserThe hotel was alright but when it comes to checking in and out is another thing it was a hassle paid for the hotel online with my CashApp card and when I had arrived and they asked for a security deposit fee and I had asked them if they accepted CashApp being how they took it the first time they told me no they didn’t accept it and that I would have to either have cash or a bank card that isn’t CashApp, Venmo, Chime, PayPal etc rude as can be and not only to mention they had kicked me out my room until I had paid a security deposit fee for my pet and later that night I had paid the pet fee and the staff was nothing but disrespectful but the day of check out I woke up late and apologized to the housekeepers and they were nothing but rude and told me that I had 5 minutes to get out or else there were going to be police there and I had a lot of stuff in my room being how I stayed a few days there but and 5 minutes wasn’t going to be good enough for me so I had asked if I can get a little bit more time and after I had got everything out they were nothing but nice as can be asking if help was needed and I told them that I didn’t need any help from them got everything into my car and walked back in so I can get my security deposit fee back and I was denied my security deposit fee and I want and I am going to be calling the head honcho and reporting that and everything else.
This is not the first time either that this has happened to me
GGuest UserFor a luxurious weekend getaway, The Athenium Suite Premium is elegantly appointed, with plush accomodations, featuring large living spaces, with high ceilings, and ambient dimmer lighting, accomodating office space. clean comfortable furniture, modern decor, large marble jacuzzi tub. large full mirrored bathroom with shower, a huge sunken bedroom with large double sliding glass door closets. spectacular nightime views of the downtown Detroit skyline! ' The service is 1st rate. where the staff anticipates your every need and efficiently seques the transitions of luggage transport, on-the-spot valet parking, friendly 24 hour shuttle service within a 5 mile radius. ' ' The hotel is in the heart of Greektown offerings, and within minutes of all the arenas and sports stadiums, as well as the performing arts snd stage houses. ' The Athenium will delight and pamper you!
JJeNae3The staff was very friendly when we checked in and when checking out. It was a convenient place to stay and not far from where we needed to go. The price was good. I couldn’t get the fan on the air conditioning to stay on so I ended up using an app on my phone for fan noise. Our room was right next to the gas station, so unfortunately right outside our window were truckers sleeping in there trucks for the night. So we had to deal with that noise. The window screen was ripped in the corner and you were able to open the window. It did have a little latch on the inside but I think I would have felt better if you weren’t able to open it. Someone could open the window if they really wanted to. Also for some reason the fridge was loud, but it worked fine. If you don’t want to deal with all that just request a room on the right side of the hotel. Problem fixed. They have a subway at the gas station next door so that’s cool. The breakfast was your basic continental breakfast. The room was clean and overall we had a good stay. If we’re ever in the area and need a place to stay I would stay there again. But I would request a room on the right side of the building lol.
SSamitraThe room and hotel was great. I don’t like that you do have to pay.$20 per day for parking or you will need to use the city parking but you can’t park over night as city parking expires at midnight. The location has no pool but has a nice roof top. Drinks were pretty reasonable. Over all it was nice.
GGuest UserThere were 3 police cars in front when we pulled up. The desk clerk could barely speak English. The carpet on the staircase was grossly dirty. One key wouldn’t work and we gave up after 2 trips to the front desk. The bathroom sink was cracked. The bathtub was so nasty that we showered at the relatives we were visiting. A tattered list of stations was the only “TV guide.” Internet was so slow I gave up using it after 6 “timed out” messages. Chipped up doors, dirty corners and along walls. Lamp shades broken, mismatched lightbulbs, fighting in parking lot...
Most disgusting place we’ve stayed in the past decade!
GGuest UserWe arrived wondering if it was where we were supposed to be, I had lost all our information. The smiling face of Shelly assured us we were in the right place. She was very helpful with dining suggestions and other information as well.
Our room was Clean and comfortable. There was the usual breakfast menu, but the attendant was very pleasant, helpful and efficient. The only negative was the desk clerk, Erthel. When we went to dinner our 2nd evening I told her our 2 dogs, mini dachshunds, rarely barked when left in the room, but they would whine. Normally only for a couple of minutes and then settle down. She phoned us at the restaurant, about an hour later, to let us know our dogs had been whining nonstop for an hour. I do not know why this warranted a call except that she didn’t want us to leave them and go to dinner in the first place. But how were we supposed to get dinner? There isn’t a restaurant on site. And when we returned they were not whining or crying. So Erthel, why interrupt our dinner?
Over all we were very happy with our stay and will consider staying at a Quality Inn in the future.
GGuest UserThis hotel is nice. It was clean. It is farther away from downtown Rochester Hills than the website indicates. We were disappointed that there wasn't a hot tub, just a very small indoor pool. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Two floors of the hotel were filled with kids' hockey teams that were running wild on the other floors, including our floor. The breakfast room the following morning was much the same, the kids were yelling, running around, making a mess of everything while the parents were conversing with the other parents. Total disrespect to the rest of guests. The kids were mixing all the different juices together and then throwing it out because it didn't taste good, throwing away bananas they didn't peel, just wasting food. I know this was not the hotels fault. It's just a shame the parents or the kids had no regard for all the other patrons. We had to wait for the sole person manning the breakfast room to refill most of the breakfast items. There was a nice selection of hot and cold food once it was replenished. I would still stay at this hotel again
