Rooftop onsen is a plus. Pay another 500yen per pax for a healing spa which comprises of another different kind suana and hot stone room. Worth trying once. Location is in a mall which is very convenient. Clean as well. Near the shopping street which is a place for good food.
The hotel provided an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and elegantly designed, with modern amenities that added to the convenience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The on-site dining offered a great variety of delicious dishes, and the breakfast buffet was a highlight. The location was perfect, within walking distance of key attractions. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for both leisure and business travelers. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to others.
The hotel is an artificial hot spring with only an indoor pool. The comfort level is average. I personally feel that the hotel's breakfast is above average. There are two parking spaces which are quite convenient. When visiting Saeki City, it is recommended that you go to a nearby restaurant to eat sushi🍣
I stayed at the hotel with a plan that included meals. The semi-private room gave me a sense of privacy, and the food was delicious and I was very satisfied, but I would have been more satisfied if they had provided a little more service, such as drinks and food that I couldn't eat. The rooms were spacious and had a free-flowing hot spring, which left my skin feeling smooth and allowed me to relax in nature.
Staff were efficient and extremely helpful. Room was comfortable. The hot spring experience was below expectations. The floor at the changing room was wet and had a bad smell. The hot spring indoor had unpleasant smells. The outdoor bath was lukewarm.

A bit old hotel but we really enjoyed to stay here. We had breakfast and dinner for our stay. The food are very yummy and well presented. Highly recommended to take their food during your stay.

It’s an above and beyond hot spring hotel designed by Japanese well known architect. The design is outstanding, peaceful and stylish, especially love the firefly lamp inside the room.
Served by professional staff who carry friendly smiles, delicious traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. I was attracted by KOLs to try the beef rice in the shopping street. It took me an hour in the queue, but then I found out the even better beef rice was already tasted at hotel dinner.
Enjoy staff-led morning exercise and DIY handmade workshop.
I did even enjoy solo outdoor hot spring under snowing. What a perfect stay at Kai Yufuin
It's one hour away from Fukuoka airport. It is a good choice if you have to leave early to get to the airport in the morning during the weekend without paying expensive hotel rates in Fukuoka. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was beyond our expectations. There is also a public bathroom for free, and there is a shopping place one minute's walk away.
Excellent! A very big thumb up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome onsen, grand lobby, incredible seaview, unlimited drinks, excellent staff and clean facilities and places. Those are my descriptions to this hotel.
I have a very pleasant stay with parents (aged 80+) and highly recommend!
Surprising me is the front desk, can speak fluent English, Korean, etc. Special thanks to Harada san 👍🏻, she did a great job and arrange a shuttle to drive us to the airport bus stop. Drivers are very kind as well!
Breakfast is good, value for money, lots of choices, Japanese style( like sashimi rice, mackerel, salmon for grilled) and Western(toast, salad) are very fresh. Highly recommended!
For dinner, this is 90 mins semi buffet style…. Nice to try, due to the “semi” set does not offer choices, and we don’t eat beef, Huy (restaurant staff) nicely offer to change to pork (takes 10 minutes to prepare) and take another 5-6 min to cook. To me, a bit rush to get other food to finish, especially you are accompanied with disabled parents! Anyway, thanks to him, we got special menu - seafood, for my second night dinner.
Honestly, the price is expensive, not worth for people don’t drink alcohol. But if you are an alcoholic, there is wide range of choices. cocktail, chardonnay, etc are soso!
One “cons” is the location is a bit off from Beppu JR, if u drive, highly recommended, my case is the car break down (Toyota shop really disappointing) especially u carry aged 80+ disabled parents.

GGuest UserWe had a fantastic visit there with good service, delicious food and great accommodation. The hot spring in the room is amazing and they provide free drinks in the fridge too. The accommodation is spacious. The beds and pillows are comfortable, one of staff even know Cantonese and all of them are so nice and friendly. It worths us to rate a 5 star rating.
HHiu Wai, Peggy ChauI was worried because there are many bad reviews. It turned out it wasn't that bad, though I doubt if it is worth the high price overall. The location is good, conveniently located near Kitahama bus service centre and Beppu Station. Locating the entrance is a challenge, especially when you are with luggage. The hotel staff a nice, but I can picture that if you dun speak a bit of Japanese, it might be a bit hard to communicate with the staff.
The overall environment is nice, clean room and nice private onsen bath. A curtain is appropriate in the balcony for more privacy. It is a bit dark, both inside the room and in the corridor.
Dining is nice, great food. know it's a common practice to have set time for dinner and breakfast, but as a first time visitor to Oita, the 5:30pm dinner time was too early for me. However, the 7:30pm was fully booked on my first day of visit. Breakfast started at 7:30 and it's too late for me to catch the train so I can visit Harmonyland. There could be more flexibility for dining options and time, considering the high price guests are charged.
There are many activities and I love the outdoor footbath and the free coffee and tea service at the travelers' library.
I would still recommend the hotel to visitors to Beppu.
GGuest UserExcellent location, just next to Oita JR station. Room is clean and well designed, bed is comfortable. However, the pillows are a bit too thin. Free Ramen serves at 9:30-11pm which is so good. Carpark is available onsite which costs ¥1500 per night but there are a few cheaper overnight carparks nearby hotel which are very convenient.
정정형근I recently stayed at a hotel booked through Trip.com, and while the location, cleanliness, and facilities were quite nice, I had a very disappointing experience with the service provided by the hotel staff.
When I booked the hotel, the description on Trip.com (in Korean) clearly indicated that the room would have two beds and two floor beds. However, upon arrival, we found that the room only had two beds and one floor bed. When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the hotel staff, they informed me that we would need to pay extra for an additional floor bed. They explained that the description in the itinerary merely indicated the maximum capacity of the room and that, since we had booked meals for only three people (breakfast and dinner), we could not receive an extra floor bed at no charge. I opted for the three-person meal plan because one of my family members is a five-year-old child who does not eat much, and I wanted to avoid unnecessary food waste.
I understand that interpretations of the itinerary may vary, but the attitude of the hotel staff was unacceptable. During my communication with them, I was put on hold for five minutes, only to be told that there was nothing they could do. After urging them to adhere to the terms of the itinerary, I was placed on hold again for ten minutes. Unfortunately, I had to hang up as it was time for dinner, and the hotel did not follow up with any response after I returned.
This experience significantly affected my family's mood, and what was supposed to be a pleasant stay turned into a frustrating ordeal. I hope that Trip.com can address this issue to prevent future guests from having similar experiences.

GGuest UserThe hot springs are heavenly in the winter. There is a jacuzzi in each room, but the public bath is much better. The staff doesn't speak English well, but since they don't, communication seems to be better. It's convenient, close to the main street, and the Japanese garden is very charming. The kaiseki cuisine and breakfast are also excellent. It's worth the price.
GGuest User*Very close to JR station, 2 minutes walk by shortcut.
*Although check-in is after 4pm, you can store your luggage.
*Although the room is old, it is very clean.
*Free breakfast is OK, better than nothing.
GGuest UserThe hotel is managed in Japanese style, the service is very good, the staff are very enthusiastic and the arrangements are very considerate. The pick-up and drop-off are very good, making people feel at home. There are many hot springs in the hotel, all of which are very distinctive and comfortable. The ingredients used for breakfast, dinner and dinner are exquisitely made and very delicious. The service staff has waiters who can speak Chinese, which I like very much. Even the Japanese service staff who can't speak Chinese use mobile phone translation to introduce the dishes, which is very touching. The hotel also provides various yukatas for use, which is a great experience.
SStephanie_LI originally booked this hotel for the convenience of going to Mount Aso, but I didn't realize that the volcano had been closed for some time.
This hotel is located in a far outskirts, but the facilities are very good and the environment is beautiful. When we arrived, the owner was very enthusiastic and explained. We didn't understand Japanese, so he translated to us on the phone. The hot spring is in another room, and there were not many guests that night. Our family could enjoy one hot spring room, and everyone was very satisfied. The room is large, with one bed per person and complete facilities.
The breakfast the next day was Western-style and very rich. The bakery owner who couldn't finish it packed it for us and took it away. No food was wasted. Very good service.
There is also an astronomical telescope on the grassland. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy that night, so there was no chance to see the stars. No wonder the hotel has ”Galaxy” as its name. I think you can see the Milky Way in the sky when the weather is good. I hope to have the opportunity to come back next time.
Fortunately, Mount Aso suddenly opened again after checking out, and we actually saw the volcano!
GGuest UserThe staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious.
