Alashankou City Guest House has a good location and convenient transportation. The rooms are modern and luxuriously decorated, large in size and equipped with smart functions. The front desk service attitude is excellent and they are enthusiastic in solving customer problems. The environment is very clean. The breakfast is clean and has a wide variety of dishes. The restaurant is very luxurious. Staying in this hotel is definitely a luxurious and great value experience and enjoyment.
The service staff here are very considerate and introduced me to the location of the fitness area and the laundry room. Later I found out that they had told me these things at the elevator entrance in the lobby. I was impressed by their service attitude ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In my opinion, this hotel is the most luxurious hotel that you can get in Turpan. It’s affordable and the service was very good. 小刘 was especially helpful in making sure our needs were met. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Turpan.
Service: The staff at the camp are so welcoming. I like it. You can order dinner. The dishes cooked in the small kitchen are so delicious. The taste is more like Sichuan cuisine. Spicy chicken and fried eggs with onions are delicious! The price is reasonable, not expensive.
Environment: The environment is great. There is nothing to complain about by the Karakul Lake.
The biggest regret is that the weather is bad 😭 But I still took a classic chair photo. It feels different. If it is a sunny day, you can see the starry sky at night.
Facilities: The room is a bit like an RV. It is okay for two people to live in. It is not crowded. The altitude sickness is quite serious at night. Fortunately, there is an oxygen concentrator in the room and two people can breathe oxygen at the same time. I breathed oxygen intermittently all night and slept in a daze all night. My head hurts so much😭 People with poor health are not recommended to live in the plateau.
Hygiene: Very clean!
The service was excellent, beyond expectations, and they provided desserts, tea and fruits. Soundproofing: Very quiet. I usually sleep lightly, but I can't hear any noise from the corridor or next door here. Great location: Very close to surrounding attractions Huiwangfu and Altun Ancient Street, very convenient. There are a lot of delicious food in the business district next to it. The breakfast in the hotel is also very delicious. It seems to be a newly opened hotel. The rooms are also very clean, spacious and bright. Finally, I would like to give a thumbs up to the short-haired front desk lady who checked out the hotel. She has a good service attitude and is very considerate.

A special shout-out to the gentleman who welcomed us; he kindly carried my luggage to the room, and I sincerely appreciate the warm reception and attention, especially in the chilly weather. This accommodation boasts the best location, right next to the famous Hemu Bridge and the closest point to access the viewing platform for stunning dawn or sunrise photography. There are numerous restaurants nearby, and we enjoyed complimentary welcome coffees and mini ice creams. The soothing sound of the Hemu riverside flowing nearby added to the overall experience.
We were passing through from Beijing to Xinjiang and stayed for one night. It was very suitable for a stopover, the environment was very good and quiet. There was a little hair in the room, but considering the folk customs and the surrounding environment, it was already very good, just a little bit. My family and I checked in at around 3 pm, and between 6 o'clock in the evening, two groups of people actually opened my door directly. The first one was the cleaning lady. She didn't knock on the door, but swiped her card to come in. I guess she thought the room wasn't cleaned yet. Then I locked the door from inside. An hour later, the front desk staff brought another group of guests to check in, and opened the door at once. I was scared to death. Of course, I could tell they didn't do it on purpose, and they closed it immediately when they saw someone in the room. The scary thing was that I had locked the door from the inside, so I quickly went to the front desk and asked them to confirm with the system that the room had been occupied and not to open the door again. When I go to bed at night, I always block the door with two boxes. Everything else was good, the food was good, the environment was good, but this little episode was a bit scary.
The location is outside the Kalajun Scenic Area, with a wide view. It is recommended to choose the second row of rooms. There is a muddy road + horse farm in front of the first row of rooms. The interior of the room is very clean, but it is really not soundproof (the sound of rain at night, the barking of dogs in the middle of the night, the footsteps and voices of the guests on the wooden pallet are all clear)
The focus is on the service:
[Butler service] This time the butler is Xiaobai, a Kazakh boy who just graduated from high school and is currently interning in the hotel to prepare for college. He has a strong sense of national pride and is very enthusiastic~
[Hotel activities] Participated in ethnic home visits, and the activity itself is very good! Here comes the point: the original fee was 150 yuan and the last 0 yuan. The turning point was when I checked out, I saw the Ctrip page saying that the home visit activity was free. I showed it to the front desk + boss, but they didn’t know it. I was shocked 🤯 and then the boss said directly 🆓 but it gave me a very unprofessional feeling
[Bar price] The location is next to the horse farm, American/latte/hazelnut latte 48RMB! Problem 1: The price is too high. I specifically compared it with the Kurdenin Valley Campground where I stayed later. The most expensive coffee was 38 RMB. 2. The price of coffee is the same regardless of the category. This is the first time I have ever seen it! At least American coffee should be cheap! It is not hand-brewed coffee.
[Restaurant price] At first I suspected that the price of the scenic hotel might be so expensive. How expensive is it? Green pepper and preserved egg cost 68 or 78! Compared with the Nara Tixishi fake farm where I stayed later, the price of vegetables is generally 30-60 more expensive!
Summary: Good location, good environment, but extremely poor service (giving people the feeling of a completely scattered temporary team of workers who are about to disband at any time)

We took a metro from Urumqi Airport to 道桥站。here is actually a Grand Baaza. From here you may take a taxi to the hotel. It’s only 2km , we choose to walk. It’s took us 40 minutes. By walking the to hotel building , the exterior doesn’t look so grand . We have a friendly staff to check in for us. Surprised us. That’s nice & clean smart room. All closing windows , lights, music play can instruct 小度, to perform it🤭. Another surprise was the house keeping delivered us a foot spa at 9pm. And that’s a nice food street near the hotel building buildings.
We are very happy for a 3D2N stayed. Wonderful & comfortable. Thank you.
.
The hotel should be opened soon, the rooms and facilities are very new, sleep quietly at night, the bedding is comfortable~ breakfast is the beef noodles next to the hotel, you can choose beef noodles or other, the overall is still very good, not casually fooling people pre-product breakfast~ Sailimu Lake around the hotel The price ratio is not high, it is more cost-effective to live in a nearby place~ The hotel drives to Sailimu Lake for about an hour. After breakfast, Sailimu Lake turns around and just goes to the next destination at night~

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that.
She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met.
It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here.
Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed.
While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information.
The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate).
The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean.
Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever.
-Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA)
PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.
JJill CassandraA Hidden Gem That Feels Like Coming Home
Tucked away in the embrace of raw, untouched nature, MuseNomad Retreat is the kind of place that feels almost too beautiful to be real — like stepping into a postcard. Yet behind the picture-perfect setting is something even more special: the kind of warmth and care that turns a stay into a memory.
From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. The owners go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at ease. One gesture I’ll never forget — I was rushing for a tour and hadn’t managed to press my clothes. Though there’s a laundry room available, the owner personally helped me iron them, refusing any payment. That small act of kindness stayed with me.
We’ve stayed in many retreats claiming to offer luxury, but this place redefines what true luxury means. Here, you pay a 3-star rate and receive a 5-star experience in comfort, sincerity, and service. The rooms are cleaned daily with meticulous attention to detail — we were even touched to find our own tea and coffee sachets neatly arranged by housekeeping.
Meals were another highlight. The food has that unmistakable home-cooked feel — warm, nourishing, made with care. When they learned I don’t eat beef or mutton, the kitchen prepared special dishes just for me, without a fuss. That kind of consideration is rare and deeply appreciated.
And how could I forget Tian Tian — the gentle, lovable golden retriever who quietly added to the homey atmosphere. Her presence made the stay even more special, like having a sweet companion always nearby.
MuseNomad Retreat isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to truly rest. Of all the accommodations we’ve experienced across our travels, this one touched us the most. As our three nights came to a close, I felt a genuine sadness — a quiet wish that we could stay just a little longer.
If you’re looking for a restful, heartfelt escape where nature, comfort, and kindness meet, this is the place. MuseNomad Retreat is not just somewhere we stayed — it’s somewhere we’ll remember fondly, and miss dearly.
GGuest UserThe breakfast outside on the first day was very perfunctory. On the second day, the breakfast was moved to the first floor of the hotel and suddenly went up a few steps. I was very satisfied.
Can you imagine that in Altay in the winter, the temperature inside the room is very warm, so hot that I can’t cover myself with a quilt? In the end, I have to sleep with the window open.
It's great to have a shuttle bus to the ski resort. The hotel is very close to Jinshan Market and the corner of Altay, within walking distance.
GGuest UserThe room is nice. The heating is very good. The lady in the lobby is very nice. You must try the beef noodles next to it. The taste of the chili is amazing. Give a suggestion to the hotel. Please recruit the beef noodles. Oh, there is an old granary next to it.
GGuest UserThe room was cleaned very cleanly. It is worth mentioning that the pillows are soft and hard, unlike the soft pillows in many hotels and homestays. I slept very well in Taoyuan.
Winter is cold and dry. The indoor air conditioning and floor heating are sufficient. Just in case, there is also an electric heater. The socks were dried in two hours. There is also a humidifier. Although it is a drop in the bucket, it makes people feel very comfortable.
The housekeeper kindly gave directions to the parking space and helped to carry the box. The front desk also provides breakfast and coffee afternoon tea, and the quality is also very good.
A few suggestions: It is easy to forget to draw the curtains when checking in at night because it is dark outside. I hope the store will replace the main window with a gauze curtain to protect the privacy of guests.
It is not reasonable to manually draw the window in the shower room. It is recommended to at least apply a frosted film. After all, the window faces the main road. For guests who value privacy, even a slight gap will feel bad.
Overall, it is a very good living experience!
GGuest UserRoom was spacious. Good amenities in the room: comfy slippers, kettle, coffee, umbrella, ironning board etc. Hotel is perfect location. I would like to thank manager Watt luo . He was very helpful, english was good . Hotel Breakfast was good. It was very convinient that the big shopping mall was just across the road.
SShanghaiLlamaI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Express near Urumqi Railway Station and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and excellent customer service. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay.
The room I stayed in was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The comfortable bed and cozy atmosphere made for a relaxing and restful night's sleep. The hotel's soundproofing ensured a peaceful environment despite its proximity to the railway station.
One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast offered at the hotel. The breakfast selection was diverse and delicious, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. It provided a great start to the day and helped me fuel up for my activities.
The hotel's location near Urumqi Railway Station was incredibly convenient, especially for travelers like myself. It made it easy to explore the city or catch a train to further destinations. The surrounding area had a variety of dining options and shops, adding to the convenience of the location.
To top it off, the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols during my stay reassured me of their dedication to guest well-being, especially during these challenging times.
Overall, my experience at the Holiday Inn Express near Urumqi Railway Station was outstanding. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, convenient location, and excellent service make it a top choice for both business and leisure travelers. I look forward to returning in the future.

GGuest UserGood reviews! The location of the hotel is amazing. You can see the magnificent Pamir Plateau scenery of Tashkurgan County as soon as you go out. In the morning, when you open the window, the sun shines on the top of the continuous snow-capped mountains. The picture is so beautiful that it is suffocating. Here, you can enjoy the unique natural scenery of Tashkurgan County while lying in bed. This experience is great!
GGuest UserIf the review is 5 as the highest score, then I can only give your hotel 4.8 points. As a Green Oriental hotel chain, there is a gap between your hotel and Green Oriental Aksu store. I booked an Oriental double bed room and Oriental hotel in Aksu store. Twin rooms, I booked two superior twin rooms in your hotel. It is reasonable for the superior rooms to be higher than the ordinary rooms, but the price is high but the facilities are lower than the ordinary rooms. This is unacceptable to me. The bathroom in the ordinary room of Green Oriental Aksu store is equipped with a disposable toilet seat, which your store does not have. The Aksu store is equipped with a shower cap, which your store does not have. The Aksu store is equipped with a small refrigerator with drinks. Your store does not have a small refrigerator with drinks. No, the breakfast variety is not as rich as the Aksu store, and the taste is not as good as the Aksu store. So I give Aksu store 5 points, but your store can only give 4.8 points. Here are some pictures of breakfast at the Aksu store.
GGuest UserEnjoy my stay so much that I extend my stay for 1 more night.
Clean, spacious ,comfortable. the room is modern and somewhat looks futuristic. even small details are designed for comfort such as mirror with extra light on it, anti-slip bathroom mat, clear label on lights switch on/off so guest know what button for what lights, automatic night light turn on when guest wake up at night to go to washroom to ensure guest can see the walking path (been travelling for 6.5months and these are items that are almost never seen even in big hotel chain).
the receptionist team are also warm and welcoming. Special thank you to Xiao Xia and Noor who help with my check in and extend my stay.
Reasonable price, even offer discount on 2nd night (different person offer different discount, so i choose the best offer.lol)
This place also close by to many eateries and 4minutes walking to bus stop where multiple buses stop there (i.e.there is bus from airport to here, i.e.take metro and change to bus. the bus will stop here).
Convenient for solo traveller who rely on public transport to explore the surrounding (download 百度 or AMAP application to see route and bus timing in real time.百度is better though).
They are also available a wechat away for any questions or recommendations that you'd like to know.
Delicious breakfast!! Still thinking about it. taste like home cooking style.
After travelling 6.5months , my tastebud miss this type of food.lol
Overall, highly recommended place!!
If I still have time (after exploring the southern part), I will definitely come back again to stay here for one final night before leaving Xinjiang.
All the best 😎😄😀😁😃
