Located right by the lake with restaurants on site. Possible to walk from the train station. Breakfast buffet was good with some hot options and continental breakfast. However, the room doesn’t a kettle or a minibar but not really a big deal since you’ll receive 2 complimentary bottled of water. There’s no AC either which is not really unexpected around here.
Hotel is in a great location in Montreux. A short walk from the train station and right on lake Geneva. Rooms were clean and very good. Amenities throughout the hotel, also very good. Nice touches with random boxes of sweets, next to the complimentary coffee machine in the foyer. Sweets always make people smile, no matter how old you are. I noticed the staff on the reception desk managing some very obnoxious and basically rude customers. So hats off to them as they remained very polite. My only grip about my visit was that our room was on the lowest level. I paid for a lake view believing I'd get a view of the lake as far as my eyes could see (as in the hotels online pictures). I don't think I can really complain, as I could see the lake between the various trees and shrubs, but not as I was expecting. Is that a lake view?
Hotel room was the smallest during my entire trip in Europe, toilet was cramped with not much areas to put/hang your shower amenities. The shower area was like a pod which was extremely tight even for asians like me. Could barely raise both arms together without hitting the glass when trying to wash hair. The shower head angle was also terrible as it's pointed at the gap of the shower pod glass (which doesn't close entirely) and kept flowing outside of the pod because it was THAT small.
Booked it for the convenient location but don't expect much from the room size. The shower experience was extremely unpleasant for me and looked nothing like the photos.
the hotel is close to old town and you can walk a short distance to visit the old town. The hotel lobby and restaurant is chill and cosy. the staff was friendly and nice.
The hotel is conveniently located close to the station, which also has a Coop supermarket. However, the uphill walk to the hotel can be a bit challenging. The Cathedral is less than a 10-minute walk away, and from a nearby subway station, you can easily reach the southern port. The Olympic Museum is also just a stone's throw away. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and greeted us with a smile. We really appreciate her service.
The room was exceptionally large, and they upgraded me to a different room type for free. The service was satisfactory, the room was clean, and it was conveniently located near the station, with Lake Geneva right across the street; walking along the lake was easy. We couldn't get a reservation at the hotel restaurant, but we'll try it next time.
Good environment. Good size room. Bedsheets come with slight black stain. Breakfast is the same every day.
Horrible front desk service. Worst experience ever in my numerous trips to Switzerland and staying in different hotels. Requested reception to help book taxi to train station for early morning train to airport 2 days before departure. Reminded them evening before and was assured it has been done. Come time of pickup and no taxi came. Checked with reception and he said need to wait for taxi company to call back and need at least 20 minutes!! Requested him to expedite and he asked me to book uber myself!!!! Installed uber and got myself a vehicle and just in time for the train. Speechless
The stay was not up to my expectations. The view from the dorm is blocked by the train track and can get quite noisy occasionally. Although the hostel is walking distance away from the bus station, but there is a slope and stairs to climb to reach the hostel. Other than that, overall was okay, it is similar to the other hostel of the company . Just that the light in the shower turns off every 10mins and it becomes completely dark and I have to try to find the switch to turn it on again, as well as the water, you'll have to keep pressing it every 10 seconds if not it will just stop. Do note that the basin, toilet and shower are separated. It was a comfortable stay for a night before heading to Geneva the next morning, breakfast served was okay.
Magnifique !

TtomomeowHotel is right besides the train platform 1 so super convenient
Room wise is spacious, though the power sources are kind of awkwardly placed
Left my handheld massager and staff is prompt to respond to my email and located the item! Kudos to the team for the excellent service
WWeilinThe hotel staff suddenly opened the door twice without asking!!! This is extremely impolite, and the check-out staff claimed it wasn’t their responsibility. They said they don’t know who has checked out or not, so they just opened the door to check. This is the first time I’ve encountered such a ridiculous solution. Is this really a four-star hotel?
SShih Yuin ChewHonestly, one of the best hostel with the best facilities/equipments for basic travelling needs.
First, clean af. Second, the shower room is designed really well: well-lit, have separate and large shower/changing cubicles, and equipped with very effective hairdryers. Third, luggage storage is free, secure and convenient to use. Fourth, it has a good kitchen/common area. Fifth, the price includes free breakfast starting at 630am, enough early of a time.
However, the kitchen is closed at 2300 and only reopens only at 0630; for those who needa leave the place early in the morning will have to negotiate earlier with them (to avoid possible unpleasant encounter). And if you can’t have breakfast during the assigned time, there’s no other alternative like simple packed breakfast possible—good thing tho, the free flow coffee starts at 3am.
It’s a place I would think of staying, if I happened to visit this area again.

“I stayed here after the Montreux Jazz Festival. With the Montreux Riviera Card provided to hotel guests, public transportation between Montreux and Vevey was free, which was very convenient. The hotel staff member, Frédéric, gave me a very warm welcome and kindly accommodated my request for an early check-in, which I had arranged by phone in advance. When I unfortunately sprained my ankle, he even lent me crutches and provided information about a nearby hospital, which was extremely helpful and much appreciated. The room was spotless and well-maintained, and although compact, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was delightful, with delicious croissants, seasonal fruits, ham and cheese, yogurt, and a selection of drinks. I was very satisfied. I would definitely love to stay here again when I return for the Montreux Jazz Festival.”
GGuest UserThe hotel is very unique with chocolate theme. It has all the necessary facilities, but everything is a little bit smaller! It is located near Lausanne Station. It is a bit difficult to walk uphill with luggage. You can choose to take a few stops of light rail. There is a coop supermarket and a cafe just a few steps away, which is very convenient.
CCrzy_minionsThe hotel was a 3-5 minutes walk from the metro station, which is a 15 mins transfer ride from Lausanne's main train station. The location is very nice, with the Geneva Lake right across the road. An easy, straight line walk to the Olympic Park and museum. Coop downstairs for simple groceries. The breakfast was super good, quality food and cooking. The breakfast offered a variety of delicious choices, service was very nice too. The breakfast here was my favourite along the way. Watching the sunrise by window seats was a bonus. The street was very quiet, overall a tranquil feeling during my stay. A number of restaurants within 5 minutes walk as well. The room was nice, they offered a personal care kit which was very helpful. You also get a free chocolate 😌

HHelen HewNice clean room with a view for a short transit stop or a base to go to Lyon or Geneva.
Abt 10-15 mins walk from Montreux station.
Short walking distance to the Christmas market and shops.
MManfrederikI travelled with my parents to Nyon at the end of August. We stayed in Ambassador Boutique Hotel. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff and stayed in the spectacular Castle suite on the top floor. The suite is very spacious for 3 people. The view from the room is stunning, with Nyon castle & old town in the forefront and Geneva lake & Alps in the background. If you are lucky, you could even see Mt Blanc and sunrise from the balcony is very nice. The hotel is very well located, 5 minutes from train station and in the old town surrounded by good restaurants. I highly recommend staying in Nyon, when you plan to visit Geneva lake, and definitely stay in Ambassador. I will definitely be coming back.
