Bed Friends Poshtel

Amphoe Mueang Chiang Rai
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bed Friends Poshtel in Chiang Rai, Thailand, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Let me break down my stay for you. First and foremost, one of the highlights of this poshtel is its convenient location. Finding delicious food options in the neighborhood was incredibly easy, which is a must for any traveler. Additionally, the fact that it was just a 4-minute walk to a laundry facility was a huge convenience, especially for those of us on extended trips. The poshtel also offers tours right from its location, which is a great way to explore the beautiful surroundings of Chiang Rai. Furthermore, they have a coworking space, which I found extremely useful. I used it multiple times to complete my online school work, and having a quiet space when needed was a real plus. Now, onto the room. I stayed in a small room, and while it was cozy, I did encounter a minor issue with the air conditioning not working properly. However, I suspect that this may have been due to user error, so I wouldn't hold it against the establishment. One aspect that could use some improvement is the signage regarding restroom facilities. It would be helpful if there were clearer indications of which gender should use the showers and toilets. I had a slightly amusing but potentially awkward encounter when I found a man getting out of the shower in the women's restroom. While it didn't upset me, I believe better signage could prevent such incidents from occurring. On a positive note, the bathrooms and eating areas were consistently clean during my stay, which is always appreciated. One of the standout features of Bed Friends Poshtel was the friendly staff. They were always ready to assist and make my stay comfortable. Despite a minor hiccup with the AC and a signage issue, I would definitely consider staying at Bed Friends Poshtel again in the future. The convenience of the location, availability of tours, and the presence of a coworking space made my stay enjoyable, and the welcoming staff added to the overall positive experience.

This hotel is very good. The decoration is a bit classic. The hotel is well maintained. Good service staff at all levels The room is spacious and has everything. The bathroom is very spacious. There is a separate shower room, bathtub and rainshower. The water is very strong, the internet is strong, and there is a router for each room. The hotel is quiet and private, with a lot of trees. It's like you're truly relaxing with nature. Not very far from the city. Driving from Chiang Rai city takes about almost an hour. But the road is good all the way to the hotel. It's not difficult to drive. The food at the restaurant is delicious. You can enjoy every meal, especially the stir-fried basil, very delicious. Impressive. If I have time, I will go back and stay again.

We’ve booked two rooms after research. The location is not far from night bazaar. The swimming pool is quite big and looks good. Staff were really nice to change our rooms facing the back so that it wasn’t noisy. Breakfast has reasonable choice and delicious.

It’s a nice and unique hotel, location is very near to the Blue temple which means you better have a car, we have no problem on this, just found it too dark to find the way back to the hotel at night. Our experience was half n half with this hotel, we booked two nights, on the first night with river view, we like the interior with reasonable space, the hotel is building more blocks which start hammering at 8am, on top of that we didn’t sleep at all during the night because it had strange sound from the ceiling, we were on the 4th (top ) floor and it was probably the generator of the air conditioning, the sound came every 15 minutes, so we didn’t sleep n were so tired. We told the front desk next morning and they changed the room for us and upgraded to the pool access room. It was good to have access to the pool directly from your room. Breakfast was nice and have variety of choices. I’m not sure if I will choose this hotel if I go again, I rather have a good sleep than a horrible night even they upgraded us the second night, they didn’t ask how we were when we checking out, seems the upgrade sorted everything, not bothered to tell us why there was noice and not care about any feedback!!

We stayed here recently, and while the room was big, it felt a bit bare, there wasn’t much furniture, just one bedside table and no proper chair - only a stool. There was no coffee or kettle in the room, but you can get free hot water at the café downstairs (just ask for it) and purchase instant coffee packets, or get a fresh brewed coffee for a fair price. The room had windows at the front and back, but only the one facing the walkway had an insect screen, which was odd since it doesn’t offer any privacy when the window and curtains are open. The back window opened onto an open field, but has no screen. The curtains were about 80% light-blocking, so the room stayed dim after sunrise. The beds were comfy, but the Wi-Fi signal in our room was weak and slow, we had to use our mobile phone data to get decent speeds. Parking is limited, and all the spaces were taken by 8 PM, so plan ahead if you’re driving. There was quite a lot of construction noise starting around 9 AM, but considering it was shortly after the floods, it’s understandable they needed to do repairs. Overall, it’s okay for a short stay if you don’t mind a few quirks, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Stayed here for a few nights.. was my first time in Chiang Rai. I have nothing negative to say, the room was a good size for one person, clean, fully stocked with towels, shower gel, shampoo, bottles of water, etc.and cleaned everyday. When I came back from a days out it was nice and fresh. The shower handle needs to be in a certain direction in order for the hot water to work - (if it's pointed towards you, more pressure = less hot). Location-wise, it was only a few mins from the night bazaar which is very convenient. Many nice temples nearby via walking. Also the clock tower, cat cafe, Watsons, bus station, Boots, restaurants, etc.all walkable - 5mins tops. I recommend staying here.. if you want to go further away to see white and blue temple you can hire a bike rider for just a few Bhat. The big Central Chiang Rai shopping mall is not that far, you can also walk it! I walked about 2 hours from the hotel to see the giant Buddha statue, along the way I saw many cool stuff. I really do recommend you walk around and check out the scenery rather than taking transport, you will find hidden gems along the way. A+

It's a quiet and secluded hotel that's a good place to rest comfortably, even though it's far from the city. If you're looking for a quiet place, it's probably fine. I stayed in the villa building and it's spacious. The bathroom has an instant water heater, but only lukewarm water comes out, so it was a little uncomfortable to shower. And a simple breakfast is provided.
