At first, I thought the room was too small. The price was not cheap, but the facilities were only comparable to those of a domestic hotel, and there was a bit of a musty smell. However, after comparing the surrounding area, I found it to be one of the better hotels in Vangrong. The mountain view rooms offer views of hot air balloons and paramotors every morning and evening, and you can watch the sunrise from the rooftop in the morning. The location is also quite convenient, and the pool is relatively clean. Highly recommended.
The place located a bit far from Vangvieng city center but it's a perfect place for staycation. We went there on week day so there's not a lot of people stay in the hotel which is very good for our group.
Hotel have a wonderful view of mountain and river for us to just sit and stair at it, but if you prefer to swim can go ahead!
Staff are very friendly and ready to help, 100% satisfy with all service. We contacted hotel staff before our visit so they turn on the AC ready before our arrival.
We also met two lovely siberian husky there too!

It could been better if TV and WiFi working well
As soon as check in aircorn was leaking and rain shower not working properly but they fixed it right away. Before check in should someone inspect room ? Provide all amenities that really not necessary instead should have soap holder in bath room. Location seen abit far from center at first yet after walk around that walkable distance to night walking street and restaurants. They got roof top bar good view to enjoy.
The best hotel in Vang Vieng with a convenient location and beautiful mountain views.
The room is equipped with expensive furniture made of real Lao wood. A basket with towels is provided for visiting the pool.
A variety of breakfasts, both European and Chinese.
On the terrace above the river, you can dine with a beautiful view and watch the soaring balloons and sunset.
We stayed on New Year's Eve, and the general manager Pethantat Polsena organized a gala dinner with great dishes, champagne, a raffle and fireworks.
Excellent guest oriented staff and excellent service!
The most exquisite hotel in Vang Vieng, I particularly like the environment and hygiene. The owner Pan is the third generation of Guangdong Chinese. He is very enthusiastic. I spent three unforgettable days in Vang Vieng.
There is so many good things that can be said. If you are looking for natural beauty only a minute away from the city this is it. Coupled with the most helpful staff I have ever experienced in line with The Taj in India. Over the top help and professionalism. Great pool and spa. Big rooms, comfortable bed. Tasty food at restaurant. And more …!
Mixed Experience – Not Ideal for Solo Travelers
I recently stayed at this resort and had a very mixed experience. First, the location is quite inconvenient if you’re planning to visit the main attractions—it’s about a 30-minute walk or you’ll need to spend extra on rides like InDrive. There are no nearby convenience stores either, so plan ahead.
The resort seems better suited for large groups rather than solo travelers or couples. There is an onsite restaurant, but the menu is limited. We had a buffet lunch on the first day, but after that, it switched to a fixed menu with three options—unclear what determines the change.
The atmosphere can be a bit noisy, especially with large tour groups. During my stay, there were many Chinese tourists who were loud and partied late into the night, which could be a downside for light sleepers or those unfamiliar with that travel style.
The rooms themselves are decent, but there are some issues. Ants and moths appear at night, so it’s best to keep food and drinks sealed or in the fridge and turn off lights when not in use. Water is provided daily, but room cleaning is only done upon request. Also, Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the rooms at the far end of the resort—something to keep in mind if you rely on connectivity.
There is a swimming pool, but it wasn’t particularly inviting due to insects in the water—I didn’t see anyone use it during my stay. On the bright side, the view of the mountains is beautiful and offers a peaceful backdrop.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re traveling with a group, don’t mind extra commuting, and are okay with basic amenities and some nature-related inconveniences.
On the first night of my trip to Vangrong, Laos, I chose this Chinese-run hotel. Traveling in a foreign country makes me feel at home. The hotel consists of several two-story villas. The overall environment is good, the rooms are very large, and the facilities are complete. It is worth recommending.
During my trip to Maldives, I accidentally saw three hotels on the north shore of Lake Nam Ngau on Google Maps, and later booked the Nam Ngau Hotel on Ctrip.
The hotel front desk was very good. I arrived by motorcycle. After I arrived, I was immediately greeted, introduced the various facilities of the hotel, and helped me with my luggage. But the whole process was in English. If you don’t understand English very well, there are still some difficulties. You can try to use translation software.
The hotel room is very good, with complete facilities, original decoration, comfortable bed, independent balcony, and the lake is open when you open the door. It is very similar to the style of the hotel I stayed in Maldives. The sunset in the afternoon is also very beautiful.
The price of the hotel restaurant is also very affordable. The dishes are basically 2.5-4.5 $, generally 3 $, which is still very affordable.
There are kayaks for rent at the hotel pier, the price is 5 $ per hour. I rented it for an hour and rowed on the endless lake. It was a very rare experience. There are also motorboats for rent, but I didn’t experience it.
You can also contact nearby villagers and take a fishing boat to visit Nan'e Lake. It costs 100 RMB per boat for 2 hours, which is very worthwhile.
ps I am very grateful to Jackky (or maybe Jacky) at the hotel front desk. When I checked out and paid for the kayaking fee, I found that I didn't have enough banknotes and I didn't bring a credit card, so he helped me waive the 5-dollar kayaking fee. I thank him for his understanding here, because it has been a long time since I used cash and POS machines in China...
Another point is that there are very few Asian tourists here. It is a very niche place. I should be the only Asian guest in the hotel at that time.

Good Budget hotel in central Vang Vieng. Nice breakfast buffet. Great views from balcony.
Don't miss Sunrise from the public balcony on the 8th floor. You can watch Hot-Air Balloons ascend. Hotel can arrange motorcycle rental. (No license required!)

MMonreSuper clean and Beautiful hotel with Gorgeous views !🥹🙌🏻Once again we were upgraded to Business suits rooms ! With Big and wide windows to see the mountains 🏔️ and clouds 🌧️ such a wonderful and beautiful place ! There were some small incidents like power outages and so forth but further than that the young gentleman in the lobby was always ready to help us 💕🙏🏻 we praise him for his hard work and making this stay in Vang Vieng so pleasantly happy 😃!!
CCyrilReally nice place to stay a view days. The fact that it's not in the centre helps if you don't like it noisy. There's enough space to relax and also the swimming pool is great. Some rooms have a balcony the others enogh space right downstairs. The staff is nice and friendly and very helpful with all you need. They can also book you tours, transport and rent Scooters. Would be my hotel of choice in case of return.
MMemexxThe location is good,it's by the river and you have the view of the mountain. It's quiet and not a lot of people around, a bit far from the city center but the owner called a tuk tuk for us when we checked out,we paid 200,000 kip for it but we think we got robbed. Otherwise the room was clean and the bed was comfortable
VVXLIAsuper nice hotel with a great pool and free breakfast daily, not a great spread but its good enough! rooms were cleaned daily, you get fresh towels, water and such everyday too. there were quite a bit of flies around but it wasn’t too bothersome. beds were great and there were lockers to keep your belongings safe. would stay here again! only thing is that the toilet cubicles were a little dark but still manageable and the hot water is really good!
SStephen.Lim1992The stay is fine but it was very disappointing for the laundry service that the hostel offered. All the clothes came back with wet, bad and weird smell, i have to forced to hang my clothes outside the room but turned out it does not remove the bad smell left on my clothes. I had gained the lesson from you guys and avoid to pay for laundry service in the hostel from now on!
GGuest UserNot too bad it's show you can check in after 10.00 am I remember I was check around 11.30 am but the room was not finished so I have to wait to 1.30 pm and when check in the room flood still wet..
Bf not enough if you go after 8.00am
The housekeeping very noisy and loud.
Internet or wifi doesn't worked anywhere in room or public. Hummm

AAnonymous UserMy daughter picked the room at random. Overall, it was good. It's close to the main street, has Chinese service, and offers free shuttle service to the train station. The room is made of shipping containers. It was my first time staying in a hotel like this. Although small, it has everything. You can see hot air balloons from the room. There's a circular swimming pool in the hotel where you can play in the water. There's a bar in the center of the hotel. If you like a quiet place, it's not recommended for those traveling with elderly people.
