This hotel is really good, with an excellent view. You can watch hot air balloons take off from here. It's also super convenient with the Vang Vieng night market just downstairs and great transportation links. It can get a bit noisy at night if your room faces the street, so you might want to opt for a room on the other side.

The hotel is on the main street, so traffic until late night. Even if I had asked a quiet room (I know it is not guaranteed) I was given a room over the main street and the funny thing is that the window door was not closing so all the noise was entering, together with smells (pollution and smoke from different fires). Apart from this, room was clean and comfortable. Smell from the bathroom where, in the shower, you only have the tall and fix shower head meaning you cannot just wash your feet if in need, every time you have to take a shower. Unfortunately staff was not so helpful (anyway polite). Pool always in the shade.
The Phubarn hotel was one of the best hotels of our trip to Laos. It was recently built or renovated, has a well trained and forthcoming staff with moderate to exzellent command of English. .
The room was very clean, well equipped with a wonderful view on the mountains. Breakfast was very good, both Chinese and European Continental.
The pool is great, with a waterfall and a great view.
The only setback is the direct view on the Nam Song river, where often the motorboats with the tourists pass by. But this is offset by the superb view and modernity of the hotel. It is also situated in the vicinity of many pubs and travel agencies.
All in all it it great value for money and may be on the way to become the No.1 hotel in Vang Vienh.
Excellent Stay at Kinton Hotel – Highly Recommended!
I had an amazing stay at Kinton Hotel. The place is packed with amenities and the service is truly top-notch. They provided free pick-up and drop-off, which made everything smooth and hassle-free.
One huge plus is their self-service laundry and dryer – super useful, especially if you’re doing outdoor activities or a longer trip. The food was quite good, and the cleanliness was exceptional. On the first day, our room was accidentally missed during cleaning, but they immediately sent someone up as soon as we let them know – great responsiveness.
I also booked via Trip.com, where it mentioned late checkout. The hotel honored that without hesitation, which I really appreciated.
For a city that’s full of parties and adventures, it’s great to come back to a comfortable, clean, and calm hotel like this. The price is very reasonable for what you get – maybe even a bit more value than you pay for.
If you’re visiting Vang Vieng, I highly recommend staying here. 👍

The hotel's location is fantastic; it's just a short walk to 7-Eleven and Happy Mango, and there are laundromats conveniently located nearby! It's also arguably one of the cleaner hotels in Vang Vieng, and the front desk staff can speak Chinese. The bedding was cleaner than at my previous hotel, and you can even catch glimpses of hot air balloons. I personally found it to be excellent value for money. Admittedly, the rooms aren't particularly stylish or beautiful, but it's a clean, affordable, and high-value option right in Vang Vieng's city center.
There is a Densavan Resort booth at Vientiane Airport
You can go to Densavan Resort by free shuttle bus
There are many things to enjoy such as golf, casino, and water sports
I recommend it as a healing spot for people who are tired of daily life.
Had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Mountain View Resort. The view was absolutely beautiful, especially in the morning, and the surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the stay very comfortable. A great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended.

The room was leaking, and the hairdryer was broken. The night shift receptionist was not very friendly. When checking in, they assigned me a room that was closest to the road and very noisy. Even though there were rooms available, they claimed there were no rooms available when I asked to change rooms. In the end, they helped me change rooms only after I asked Ctrip customer service. Ctrip customer service is still reassuring for consumers.
There is so many good things that can be said. If you are looking for natural beauty only a minute away from the city this is it. Coupled with the most helpful staff I have ever experienced in line with The Taj in India. Over the top help and professionalism. Great pool and spa. Big rooms, comfortable bed. Tasty food at restaurant. And more …!

GGuest UserGood location, near everything, nice swimming pool. Friendly staff and tasty coffee. Only the breakfast is a let down as it is very small and narrow choice. All together it is worth it.
AAnonymous UserThe place located a bit far from Vangvieng city center but it's a perfect place for staycation. We went there on week day so there's not a lot of people stay in the hotel which is very good for our group.
Hotel have a wonderful view of mountain and river for us to just sit and stair at it, but if you prefer to swim can go ahead!
Staff are very friendly and ready to help, 100% satisfy with all service. We contacted hotel staff before our visit so they turn on the AC ready before our arrival.
We also met two lovely siberian husky there too!

AA Fish Called WandererWe had a wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The peaceful atmosphere allowed us to truly recharge, and the views of the lake were simply stunning and calming.
The restaurant in the evenings had a great selection of delicious dishes, the homemade ice cream is a must try! Breakfast needs to be replenished a little faster during busy times. Our room was comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the fast laundry service—fantastic quality at a great price!
We hired a scooter as the resort is out of the centre of Vang Vieng, the road to and from has many potholes so be careful!
GGuest UserThe hotel’s in a nice location on the banks of the river and staff are polite and attentive. The breakfast is good and there is a varied choice of foods available.
Because the room’s French doors to the terrace/ balcony and the wooden door (leading directly from the outside) are old and ill- fitting, we had an influx of mosquitoes in our room and I was bitten during the night. Staff sprayed the room while we’re were out, but this was only a short-term solution. We ended up placing damp towels on the floor both inside and outside of the doors in order to try to stop the pesky visitors. We sprayed the room a couple more times and the second night’s sleep was better than the first.
