The hotel was superb, right on the beach and had spectacular views. The rooms were excellent with great facilities. The iPad in the room giving you up to date information was very useful. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of restaurant choices in the hotel. The evening buffet on the top floor was expensive so we didn’t eat there. 108,000 won per person. There were cheaper alternatives in the lobby. Unfortunately, you had to pay extra to use the infinity pool and gym so we didn’t do this. 35,000 won to use a pool seemed unfair and should be built into the price of the room. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there.
Dignity Hotel is located right next to the ocean, so for sea-loving folks, this is the place for you! Naksan Temple is 20mins away, but the beautiful ocean will keep you occupied while you stroll over.
Room-wise, the room is very spacious, with a large walk in dressing room and a lounging area. It is also very quiet at night (it is the countryside after all!) and you will be guaranteed a good rest.
Amenities around the areas are sparse as it is still low-season (for instance, the nearest well-stocked convenience store is 20 mins away). So I recommend to purchasing the morning buffet at the hotel restaurant so you wouldn’t go hungry in the mornings while thinking about where to explore.
Regardless, I expect the area to be much more accessible during the high-season of summer, so plan accordingly!
All in all, if I return to Yangyang, Dignity Hotel will be my first choice in selecting a place to stay. I had a wonderful time there.
I waited an hour to check in. They said it was because it was the end of the year, but other reviews don't seem to suggest that, and it looks like there's always a wait regardless. Even if it was a Sunday at the end of the year, is a 60-team wait normal? Shouldn't they change their system?
I wonder if it's right to just leave so many guests in the lobby without any measures taken for the long wait. I thought I was at a marketplace. I couldn't tell if I was on vacation or at a training camp.
If it's going to be like this every weekend and during peak season, who would want to come here again? Just the waiting itself is stressful.
The location of the hotel was fantastic as it’s just next to the ski slopes. The hotel breakfast was good and the variety for the Korean dishes changes daily. There are a number of restaurants and convenience stores that are 5 mins away. The rooms are spacious and was comfortable to stay. The rooms may look dated but it’s very well maintained. The hotel staff were also able to converse in good English and checking in was easy. Would recommend this hotel for ski trips at alpensia.
The walk to the ski slopes isn't particularly close, and breakfast is served at the adjacent hotel building (accessible via an underground passage). Our room was on the second floor, which was actually lower than the road next to it, so there was no view. The room had heated floors but no slippers. The mattress was incredibly thin; even stacked two high on the floor, it still felt very hard.
It's quite a distance, so if you're coming on your own, you'll need to take a taxi. It costs about 25,000 won each way. The breakfast spread is huge, but there are no restaurants around the hotel at night, only within the resort itself. There isn't even a casual spot to grab a drink.
I booked this for my parents' trip to Sokcho. They told me they had a wonderful and relaxing time, saying they were thoroughly pampered thanks to the accommodation's proximity to the sea, the spotless room, and the spectacular view. They must have been so satisfied that they're still raving about it even after coming back. It makes me so proud!
The Sokcho Cassia Hotel, which we visited for our wedding anniversary trip, was located in Daepo Port, and we could see both the port and the sea from the veranda of the accommodation. It was on the 25th floor, and when we went in, there was a slight musty smell from the bathroom shower room, so we took off one star for cleanliness! The breakfast here was 66,000 won, which was expensive compared to other accommodations, so we had high expectations, but there weren't many options for the price. Weekends are divided into three parts, and you can choose on a first-come, first-served basis when you check in. I think the checkout time was 11:00, but we checked out right after 8:00 after the first part of the breakfast to avoid traffic.
Nice clean hotel across from a nice beach for surfing. I was initially disappointed to find the hotel was across a very busy road from the beach, but the hotel itself is quiet and the rooftop in the morning was a great way to take in the sunset. I might not book here again because of the busy road but the hotel is nice.

WWilsonicThe hotel is near the shuttle bus stop, which is good for checking in with snowboarding luggage. =]... Room is big enough to open both 29” luggage on the floor with floor heating (Definitely needed in winter). Location also very close to slopes and the cable car (in 5-8mins walking distance)...Recommended.

PPetiteJaneWow! It felt like time travel back to the last century in the UK, the moment you step into the hotel lobby, which is full of nostalgic British decorations. The restaurant, especially, is like a royal family gallery with photos of Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, Prince Charles, Prince William, and other royals covering the walls.
Each floor features a unique theme dedicated to various public figures, including presidents, diplomats, sports stars, movie stars, singers, and actors. The hallways are decorated with photos and memorabilia, making every walk a discovery.
The location is very close to the entrance of Seorak Mountain National Park, within a 7-10 minute walk.
My double bedroom is lovely with a nice view of greenery. The only downside and a major issue to me is that no AC at night, which is not mentioned in the hotel’s description. The staff explained that the AC is centrally controlled and is turned off at night because they assume it’s cool enough. They can only give me a fan.
I had both dinner and buffet breakfast at the hotel, and they were all good, and all the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were very nice and friendly as well.

GGuest UserExcellent stay. Better than expected. I was worried that it would be crowded at the lobby/ common areas due to proximity to casino which was not a preference. The lobby of convention hotel is grand, peaceful and modern.
I was also worried that it would be inconvenient to reach the ski slopes however the shuttle buses were frequent and you can get to the slopes quickly. The bus stop drop off point is right outside the ticket office for ski passes
Hotel service was welcoming and superb from check in/out to housekeeping. As foreigners we received discount coupons for ski rental and pass. View from room was nice and loved the cream and shower gel etc. Room service was quick and portions are huge. Also how it was delivered was really good too with the robot.
Overall very good and comfortable stay.
HHang YuIt is very convenient to take the Purple bus from Seoul to high 1, we got on the bus at Myeongdong 0845 and went to high 1 at about 12:30. Because the check-in time was not reached, the room was still being cleaned up, but the hotel was very good, allowing us to drop our luggage in the room, there was a room at about 2:30.
The room is very clean and the facilities are very new. We live in Mountain CondoA, and it is very convenient to walk to mountain Ski House. There is a convenience store in Block B, which may be sold because of the Lunar New Year? We can only buy some instant noodles, kimchi and other simple foods these days.
The hotel has shuttle bus walking grand hotel , mountain condo , hill condo. when we go, take airport bus directly to Incheon Airport (it seems to only provide 20/12-2/2), get on the bus at 1000, and arrive at Incheon Airport at 1400 on time.
The only room for improvement is the way the staff communicates. Whether the front desk staff or other staff members are basically not very good at English, but some employees can speak a little Mandarin.

TTommyGunnIt was a last minute reservation we have made to enjoy our national holiday and it surely was a great decision!
The location of this resort is in prime spot right next to the Dae-po dock where for the seafood lovers you are in for a delight of fresh and cost efficient sashimi and steamed crabs.
Not only that, the resort itself was very resourceful for the families who bring their youngs
- massive indoor playground
- arcade for the little gamers
- quiet family friendly walk way into the shorelines
- indoor water park
(Stopping here because my fingers hurt trying to write everything down!)
Lastly, the rooms were cleaned at exceptional quality with the ocean view.
Definitely coming back here next year!
