For a decent family for a decent business Criticism, please make it soundproof more room by room because many guests' voices can be heard inside

First time staying at this hotel. Great counter service, staff was able to converse in English. Room was clean and toiletries were refilled every day. No complaints at all. Super close to the main train station which connects directly to the airport. Breakfast starts at 0630 to 1000. Every day's menu is different. One slight downside is that the dishes are labelled in Bahasa Indonesian, so you might need some help if you really want to know what the dishes are served. At 0700, the buffet starts the live omelette station and noodle station. Housekeeping is done every day. Linens are clean, no smell, towels are also very clean. Good job to the hotel. Would recommend all types of travellers to stay.

Nice room and my son enjoy the pool very much. The view is amazing. Tried the massage and feeling good. The customer service at the front desk, Shanti is very friendly and arrange us at the high floor room with the great view. We love it. Thanks to Shanti. We also tried Jade Restaurant, the foods are delicious and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast have a lot of variety and the cake shop named M is also very nice. Will be back again for our upcoming stay.

I stay one night in this new and very clean airport hotel. This hotel is located inside the airport terminal (land side) just one floor above arrival hall. Rather than staying nearby hotel that you need transportation to airport to catch early morning flight, this hotel give you a lot of convinience during the short stay. Plenty of eating place from fast food to restaurant with Indonesia cuisine. You can also hangout at Starbucks at departure hall. The lobby is huge and have place to sit and relax. The rooms are large and well litted. The bathroom with rain shower and strong water power is a plus. Inside the room there is free drinking water and free coffee and tea facility. No room safe inside the room. Huge LCD television is a plus too. The room floor is covered with wood and feel very comfortable to walk inside the room. Super clean and the staffs are courteous. They do provide breakfast as an option. Certainly this is the best airport hotel and should give a try if it happens that you arrive to late or have to depart in early morning. One negative side is the flight announcer is hearable in certain rooms especially rooms that have prefix of “2xx”.

I love it here. Just I forgot to take some pictures in the room. Just at the buffet corner. The staff are friendly. Most Indonesians are friendly. Since it’s a new hotel there’s nothing much I can say about this hotel. The buffet however just so-so. Not much variety. I will come back. In sya Allah

Room is clean but not fitted with night light lamp . Mattress is a bit too soft but pillow is too hard . Maybe that made me cannot sleep nicely . The sound proof is not that good and next day TV sound can be heard if the room have internal door access to other room type . Elevator service seems to be a bit slow .

I stayed here 4-nights for a conference that’s also happening in this hotel. So many things have gone wrong and enough reasons for me not coming back. 1. The reception (or should I said “deception”?), misguided me. They said my room is upgraded to Premiere room, with complimentary afternoon tea, and minibar. More about this below. 2. Went to the room but nothing special, also the weird furniture placement makes the room smaller. Room has view but mostly just building roofs. Appreciate the giant shower head though. 3. Went for afternoon tea with my business colleague and the waitress said I’m not eligible for the complimentary. She said the receptionist made a mistake. Fine. 4. Got a call from reception, she said that Ieft my ID card at the reception. Which can be avoided if she did not forget to pass the ID card back after she copied it in. Went back to reception to get my ID card, and ask the reception about the afternoon tea to confirm whether I’m eligible or not. She said not and the minibar also not free unfortunately. Thank God I haven’t eat anything from the minibar 5. Breakfast at level 3 is unorganized, chaotic, and basically madness without crowd control. However I managed to get to the level 10 which is more quiet. Food quality is average. 6. I realized an item missing from the minibar, I did not consume them at all. I called in the operator and they were like “are you sure you’re staying alone, Sir?” I’m like… unbelieveable, why don’t you check with the housekeeping if they removed it or else? I just don’t want it to be billed on my room charge. I know it’s just a potato chip that I could easily replace from minimart, but imagine if they took other items and then billed it to your room. 7. The only nice experience I had in this hotel is the dinner, food surprisingly decent. Also the service is nice (maybe because we were the only customers?). Oh and concierge staffs also very helpful keeping my deliveries and helping me with my stuff when I checked out without me asking.

We only stayed at this hotel because we were attending a wedding reception being held there. I have stayed in more than 150 hotels around the world and for the first time I was required to pay a refundable deposit for a remote control for the A/C. The bathroom is exceedingly tiny. My cat couldn't swing a cat in it. There was no hot water at 5:00pm after we had travelled 5 hours to get there and really needed to freshen up. On our way to dinner, I asked at reception about this and was told that due to ”technical problems” we could only have hot water from 6 - 8AM and from 6 - 8PM. I explained that I did not know about this. The receptionist then showed me a document that I had not seen nor been shown when checking in that explained the situation. I suggested that guests should be informed about this when checking in. Miraculously, the 'technical problems' were resolved the following morning. The staff were not aware of what was happening at the property. We asked if there was live music. The receptionist directed us to two venues on the property, but each was closed. Only the disco was open. The food in the restaurant was mediocre at best. They try to do this barbeque thing at the table, but it fails to deliver. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses and so on, but only one spoon. There's no light above the cabinet where you make tea or prepare snacks etc. The light above the makeup / grooming mirror was not working. They clearly don't check that everything is working when they clean the rooms. The furniture, carpets, cabinetry, wall coverings etc are very dated. However, the bed was comfortable and the wall covering behind the bed was relatively new. There's no safe in the room. I know that safes are expense and there are always technical problems, but pretty much every property that says it's 4-star has a room safe. The worst part from a safety perspective is that the elevator doors close within a very short time. I injured my arm as the door closed on me within 5 or so seconds and hit me quite hard. A petite granny could have been seriously injured. No-one seems to care. It's an obvious problem and should have been fixed. The restaurant did not stock beer or wine or any other alcoholic beverage. It's a property that management doesn't seem to care about. The staff are helpful, willing, courteous and respectful, but not properly trained. This is a sign that management or ownership doesn't give a toss.

Have stayed several times at this hotel, as it is one of the best hotel at Brastagi. But this time got a very bad experience. Going on weekday to avoid the crowd on weekend, but yet hotel is fulfilled with so many bunchs of group from government. All of the surroundings from once you step into the hotel till the way you get into your room are fulfiled with the smell of their cigarattes that make the air is not refreshing. It really gives a feeling like you are entering and staying at a hostel instead of a 4-5* hotel. Even they dare to smoke in the non-smoking breakfast area and no staff concerned. Staying at super-deluxe which is newly renovated, turns out having itchy skin on both hands and legs coz of the cleanliness of the bed sheet. Dunno its a bed-bugs or not, but there are some snacks residue and stain on the bed. Cleaning staff must be improved! They even forgot to refill the tea/coffee sachets and i have to ask it from reception. Really cannot enjoy the night.. the groups are having a party at the azalea with so large speaker sound till late midnight. Hotel should consider the other guests especialy those staying with elderly or infant. Can you imagine till 2am and still so noisy! Ohmygod.. my baby cannot sleep well and cranky all the nights. Hotel should not give permissions to use the hall till so late and disturb other guests. This is really unfair..we also pay for our stay! Super Deluxe room is so damn hot. Turn on the ceiling fan, and dust from the fan fell down to bed. Ohmygod, complete! Hot+Noisy and also can hear other baby was crying from another room..This group really did a good job on spoiling the holiday of the rest of the hotel guests. Mikie Holiday should re-manage group rules, despite it comes from government or public.

Grand Sakura 4*Hotel is conveniently located near Medan Centerpoint and Railway Train Station. Excellent facilities such as 2 restaurants, services booking counter, tidbits selling counter, 2 elevators lift and a team of friendly concierge staffs dressed in Indonesian Batik uniform. Buffet breakfast (7-10am) offered good Nasi Lemak and noodles. Do try the plain tea with sugar after a spicy meal to reset the palate. Decent standard room comes with fridge, safe etc. However, an unconnected WIFI as a results I had to use my 4G data mobile hotspot for my laptop and the room power socket points are few. Nearby spot a crowded and delicious eateries outlet (KUPI) runs by BAI Train where you can try Indonesian foods, DimSum and Western. Do make order payment at the centre counter before proceeding to inform stalls. I did it with Google Translate App. (Eng to Indo) Pics also shown my preferred room drink and biscuits available at Medan supermarket.

Last night i slept in here that was really good, breakfast really delicious, i love how the crew serve us, but just one thing i need to tell : why you guys just let us have 1 card door? If 1 person need to leave hotel room when my friend need to enter the hotel room how can he/she can go in? But overall worth it

We stayed one night on our way through Medan to the airport the next morning. The hotel is clean, has public drinking water dispensers and some shops and restaurants immediately below so you don't have to go anywhere once you're there. It's 10-15min in a cab to the airport from there. Easy.

Very close and convenient to the airport. Rather than waiting for the free shuttle, we downloaded the Grab app for a fast pickup and ride. The hotel staff were very helpful via WhatsApp in advance of our stay and we appreciated their excellent communication skills in English while we were there. The breakfast was fun and impressive in a beautiful big dining room with lots of fresh food options and jazz music for ambiance. Room was very clean and spacious--we asked for an extra bed so three adults could stay in our room and they actually set it up with two extra beds! Would definitely stay here again going in or out of Medan. There is an ATM in the lobby, very helpful given the challenges of finding money exchangers. Note, the hotel's name has changed--it is now D'Prima Hotel Kualanamu, not Prime Plaza.

Also there is no air conditioning despite there being an air conditioning remote in there. Opened all the windows but it was like working out in a sauna, virtually impossible. Plus no towels or water so all the machines I used were covered in sweat. Pointless having a gym if you can’t actually use it. Plus it took some time to find as most of the staff couldn’t tell me where it was. We couldn’t take advantage of the airport shuttle as the times are limited. No shuttle after 09.00 until 12.00. We asked if the staff could order a taxi for us and they told us to use the Grab app. Taxi cost 65k. Hardly any toilet paper in room so had to ask for more which the staff didn’t understand It’s a bit of a shame as with a few tweaks and staff training this could be a great hotel

I stayed at the hotel for 6D5N and it was brilliant! I stayed there with a few others but the rooms we got are 2-guest bedrooms with 2 single beds. The hotel is actually located in a somewhat empty plot of land however, there are nearby housing, a convenient store and a couple of restaurants. The hotel itself is 5 storeys high (I think), has 2 elevators. and is fully carpeted on the upper floors. As for the rooms, they are HUGE for a 2-guest bedroom! They also include a working television and a small electric kettle for you to make hot drinks or cook maggie noodles. The bathroom is also very spacious with a translucent glass door. The bed sheets and towels are changed for us everyday and are kept clean - no apparent stains. The hotel staff are always polite and helpful. They also provide free breakfast which is absolutely tasty especially their fried chocolate bananas! Also, I would always have my toast and jam even when I have eaten like fried rice or noodles, can't miss it. The deco of the hotel in overall is pretty modern and splendid. The atmosphere is always lively. Not to mention, their Wifi is free and has consistent connection.

The wifi is good. Con: It wasn't really clean. The faucet in the bathroom was heavily calcified. I accidentally lifted the bed sheet and there were hairs on the mattress that weren't mine. Walls are very thin, bring earplugs as people come and go at all hours of the day. Coat hooks would be nice too as there is hardly any space to put things down. I can't imagine two people with large suitcases staying there. Breakfast is a joke - toast, butter and chocolate sprinkles. You can then leave that as it is.

It's quite fun, hope the air conditioner is checked regularly, so it stays cold

A new hotel in 5 min drive from Kualanamu airport, pool with soft water, clean and safe for eyes w/o protection, nice park with the Chinese calendar style. Duplex cottages line and selfie’s alley are the most stylish

Rooms/beds ok and clean for Indonesian standards. However, staff do not speak English, which I cannot understand for a hotel so close to the airport. Check-in took very long - even for the Indonesian guests in front of me. No explanation about the rooms, which story I have to go etc. You are let alone. Further, they scam with the airport shuttle service. It used to be free before Corona, now you have to pay 50k, but BE AWARE, they charge this per booking and not per group. I was with a group with two separate bookings and they charged us 100k, which is ridiculously much for this 10min ride. But still one car. Better book a Grab! Cheaper and no scam.
