We didn't know that this is a love hotel and only realised it the day before checking in, as the check in is only from 6pm. The room is very spacious and we didn't mind the ****, condoms and lots of beauty products it came with. :D However, I didn't know that hotel rooms in Japan can allow smoking, so the strong cigarette smell in the room was very off putting. We put up a 'do not disturb' sign because we don't need cleaning daily. The second day I noticed some of the **** from the hotel were gone in our room but the room wasn't made (bed wasn't made, trash not emptied). I asked the staff and they said they removed it because they thought it bothered us. This was a bit weird to me, I'm not sure where they got the idea from and I don't know why they entered the room. It's also important to note that the train only runs once per hour most of the day (during some hours twice).

Nice resort-style hotel by Biwako. Great if you are driving to explore the area, as it is in a somewhat of a central location near lots of places of attraction. The Japanesd style room is spacious and we got a view of the Lake.

I chose this hotel because it is close to lake biwako and my friends area. To my disappointment, my room was at the end of the hallway supposedly facing the lake but upon entering my room, there was no window facing the lake instead my view of the window is the car parking of the hotel. The room is definitely dated, old television, i only had tea bags, on my first day and they never replenish until i checked out., no coffee as well. The carpet is red which looks so old, has some old marks too and the bed is old too, but nevertheless the room is clean. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast was great. But if i will compare it to a business hotel where i stayed before in the same area, the beds, amenities of the business hotel and the hotel rate is more worth it than this one. I don't think I will stay in this hotel again. My impression is, it is an okay place but not great. I paid almost double the price of the business hotel where i stayed last year, which had modern beds and nice amenities but for the price this hotel is charging i don't think it is worth it. This hotel needs to update a lot of things my room looks so old and feels so old. I thought staying in a hotel like this was going to be a nice treat for myself as it was more expensive than my usual budget but it was a disappointment. Really sorry if i had to say all of these on my review but the room is really dated.on every single thing.

Although I didn't use them this time, there were also bars and cafes, and the interior was very nice. It was close enough to see Kusatsu Station, and it was nice that there was a convenience store and a restaurant on the first floor. I liked that you could check out until 3pm or 5pm! It was more than worth the price! I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

ThIs was a really bad experience staying in this hotel. We check-in around 9pm at night and discovered that the hotel has arranged a damaged room (refer pics) for us  at the moment before bed time . One door of the wooden cabinet was lost but leaving the door hinges on the side of the cabinet. We decided not to request to change the room, despite we felt this is not being respected as a hotel guest. We complained the issues to the front desk and the customer service officer explained that it is not a broken/ damage cabinet door but this was their intention to remove the door. This seems an excuse since if this was the intention to remove the door why only one door was remove rather than both. The door hinges was still attached which means the door could be reinstalled one day.

DDream Trips Come True ❤️ 2024.12.15
The room and view at Biwako Hotel were truly impressive. The bed was cozy, and the amenities were top-notch. However, the access lounge fell short of expectations. Its size, food selection, and early closing time were a bit disappointing. While the drink selection was adequate, it could have been more abundant. The breakfast spread was also on the smaller side. Despite these minor setbacks, the hotel's convenient location and comfortable accommodations make it a decent choice.

High-class service, polite service staff Free soba noodles in the lobby at 9pm Lounge has few snack options Public baths facing the sea, with beautiful scenery The dinner rehearsal location had poor ventilation and a lot of fumes. When I went there in March, there were a lot of flying insects flying around and landing on the food.

LLisa Hsu🇯🇵Taiko Onsen Hamokozuki Ryokan in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. This is a hotel with only eight rooms in a guest room design with a high-end open-air hot spring bath. It is highly recommended. Dinner is a kaiseki course made with seasonal ingredients. A kaiseki course made with local ingredients such as sea urchin okra, carp sushi, Nagahama's specialty grilled mackerel, and Omi beef shabu-shabu hotpot. The napkins have festival patterns and can be taken away as souvenirs. The service staff were very kind and thank you very much! #びわ湖bankおいしいSoupのstay #长浜 Taihe hot spring banghuyue

GGuest UserI couldn't speak Japanese but I could feel that they are treating every customer seriously. Their greetings and sincere services impressed me. There was a problem with my booking initially, not sure why because I didn't get proper explanation from the hotel and Trip.com, the hotel didn't mention anything however arranged some small surprise when they knew this is an anniversary trip. I tried to upgrade my meal with crab as my wife not quite like beef and fish, they said unavailable so I keep to the original. At the end I got crab, fish and beef that surprises me. I was later received a souvenir from the hotel when they served the dessert. The hotel is busy but I'm not seeing lots of people, may be all of them staying at their rooms. The experience for me was exceptional when I woke up at 6am witness the beautiful sunrise right outside the huge window, and saw an eagle passing by my camera when trying to capture that moment. Later on when I take the free shuttle bus ride to the nearby train station, I saw an eagle again came down and climbed up outside the station. Not sure it means anything, but definitely this is a very spiritual journey for me.

EErlaoguaiThe hotel is in a good location, and it only takes more than ten minutes to walk to the train station. It is close to Hikone Castle and is very convenient for visiting. The staff are polite, professional, and willing to help guests. Not every employee can communicate in English, but simple communication is no problem. Although the hotel lobby looks luxurious, the rooms and bedding are really not good. It feels a bit old-fashioned. I had dinner at the hotel in the evening, and the Japanese dinner experience was good. However, I ate it for three days, and the tone was relatively monotonous. By the way, the breakfast was still good, and I was very satisfied.

TTimentoDiverI recently stayed at AB Hotel Hikone and had an exceptional experience. The location deserves a solid 5 stars—it's conveniently situated at 5-9 Daitocho, Hikone, Shiga, offering easy access to key attractions. The cleanliness of the hotel is commendable, earning another 5-star rating. The staff was friendly and accommodating, though a slightly higher rating for friendliness would enhance the overall experience. The value for money is excellent, with top-notch facilities that deserve a full 5 stars. The breakfast exceeded expectations, earning a perfect score. Overall, AB Hotel Hikone provides a fantastic stay with its prime location, cleanliness, value for money, and outstanding facilities. I highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a delightful and comfortable accommodation experience in Hikone, Japan.

AArt of MomentsThis isn’t our first stay at a Vessel Inn, and it likely won’t be the last. They’ve become a safe, reliable choice for us whenever we travel around Japan. The room at Vessel Inn Shiga Moriyama was exactly what we expected—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with the standard amenities and toiletries we’ve come to appreciate. We didn’t get a chance to use the hotel facilities this time, so can’t comment on those. Our main concern is always the cleanliness of the bed and overall comfort, and we’re glad to say it passed with flying colors. No funky surprises, just a peaceful night’s rest. One thing that stood out: the room size felt more spacious than what we’re used to in places like Osaka. Definitely a plus when you’ve got luggage or just want to breathe a little easier. All in all, a solid stay that gave us what we needed—nothing fancy, but exactly right.

TTimentoDiverNestled in the heart of Konan, Hotel Sun Crest is a poetic haven. Its location, adorned with 4 stars, unveils a serene canvas in Iwanechuo. Cleanliness, a masterpiece, claims 4.5 stars, each corner brushed with meticulous care. The staff's charm, akin to a subtle melody, earns a modest 4 stars, adding a harmonious note to the sojourn. A symphony of value echoes with 4.5 stars, a fusion of quality and affordability. The facilities, a choreography of comfort, dance gracefully with 4.5 stars, creating an opulent performance. Amidst this artistic tapestry, the breakfast tableau is a radiant 5-star spectacle, a crescendo of flavors. However, stealing the spotlight is the spacious single occupancy room—a sanctuary of tranquility. Hotel Sun Crest, an aesthetic voyage, invites patrons to savor the blend of practicality and allure in the heart of Konan.
