Room was okay but not very okay because trip.com purchase through 3rd party tiket.com and did not pass the room we choose non-smoking, so we ended up with room for a smoker and same level for all room for smoking. Hotel did a good gesture after we make a call to Mr. Bagus to solve this matter as hotel was full house to make sure our room comfortable, the housekeeping did change our sheet, and everything in bed also spray our room with perfume to make smoke odor gone. I was hopeless actually because the 3rd party was tiket.com local travel agent online which wasn't reliable like traveloka they are the same. But trip.com already apologize for the mistake and offer us as gesture a goodwill for their mistake, so I won't take any further action or complain as the hotel management already tried their best solved our problem. Thank you. I hope this never happen again in the future, they need double check and make sure their agreement with 3rd party is gone through very well and no mistake happen again
Great choice, location: near to Malioboro street, everyone at the hotel is very helpful. I travelled with 2 teenage boys and got ourself family connecting room. Room was big and clean, breakfast was nice. Highly recommended and I will definitely stay here again in the future.
Rekomended hotel yg kids friendly bgt.. kaget bgt pas nginep disini semua staffnya ramah2 poll. Mulai dari satpam di depan lobby sampe semua petugas yg di dalam. Petugas yg jaga di area mini zoo juga ramah bgt kids friendly! Lokasinya strategis banget. Kalo malem buanyakk bgt yg jualan makanan jadi gak perlu bingung. Ini tuh kaya ada di kawasan elit gitu sih menurutku. Walaupun jalananya agak sedikit macet tapi gak kecewa sama sekali selama nginap disini. Ahhh pokoknya mau lagi sih nanti nginap disini lagi. a good hotel in the famous location Tugu Yogyakarta. The hotel had a quite and nice room either option smoking and no smoking. Which is a great benefit for smoker to find a room. Amenities and facilities were good nothing special. Breakfast has many options with majority of local cuisine. the things that need to
improve is TV and some furniture thats need to upgrade since quite old and behind from other hotel that already have smart TV and new technology item.

The room is big. There is a working table so i can't invite my visiting friend to discuss work-related ideas without feeling awkward. Room is spacious. I didn't book the breakfast so I can't comment on that but i managed to take a pic of the breakfast area. The location of the hotel is very good, close to malioboro and train station for me to take express train to airport. Love it
Overall staffs are friendly and helpful, facilities are great for a 3-star hotel. The food variety especially the local Indonesian menu is varied and taste good as well plus very affordable. Room is clean, adequate in size and shower in the bathroom has a good pressure.

GGuest UserA good hotel in a good location thatโs got a weak spot, which is its food. We had a double room that was a great size with a very big bed furnished with comfortable linen. The a/c worked well and was relatively quiet. There was in room tea and coffee and bottled water.ย
We ate at the hotel twice, and declined breakfast after looking to see what was available. For breakfast, while we were around 40 minutes from the end of service the food looked meagre and unappetising. There was the opportunity to have omelettes etc, but we decided against it.ย
We ate in the rooftop restaurant, ordering spaghetti bolognese, chicken wings, spring rolls and a pizza. The food took a while to arrive and when it did it all came at once. All of the food was tepid at best and seemed as if it had been waiting to be collected and brought from the ground floor to the top floor. The bolognese was acceptable with the pasta being cooked al dente. The spring rolls had gone soggy and the wings, being just warm, were cooked ok but the sauce they were covered in was sickly sweet. The pizza was not cooked. The toppings appeared to be cooked but the base was raw. The dough was uncooked and inedible. We pointed this out and we were told it could be cooked further. We decided that probably wouldnโt improve it much. The staff offered a replacement, but again we decided that it would take too long and asked for it to be taken off the bill.ย
The second time we ate at the hotel we used the ground floor restaurant. Once again the food was disappointing. The oxtail soups contained beef that was not tender but tough, although the clear broth was tasty. The pasta of beef Alfredo, which was advertised as containing beef, mushrooms, etc was served with just a few pieces of what looked like smoked beef in a claggy sauce. Again, it appeared as if the meal had been sitting on the counter waiting for the waiters to deliver it to the table and had lost its heat. The fruit salad platter and banana fritters were very good.ย
Service at the hotel, from reception staff through to housekeeping was very good.ย
Overall, Iโd stay again by I would avoid the restaurants.

KKazamboIt was a good experience. The hotel is Majestic and Beautiful. The location is good although walking out from the hotel to the main road is quite a challenge, going up and down slopes. The staff are welcoming.
Food at its Restaurants are excellent.
Service is good and the waiters are well mannered.
Getting around is also easy with Gojek or Grab.

GGuest UserDisappointing. Iโve stayed at the Kimaya a few times before, and itโs not as good as it was. The best thing about the hotel is the friendly car park staff. The rooms are dated, the bed not particularly comfortable, the bathroom badly laid out, small, smelly, and veritably not spotlessly clean. I donโt blame the cleaners - how do you clean a bath when you have no access to it?
The reception staff are superficially friendly and efficient enough. Our biggest gripe was that the hotel refuses to take food delivery, which must be left outside by the gate. And they wonโt tell you that itโs arrived. Itโs a strange policy, especially considering the room service menu is not that great.
Breakfast is ok, again, not as good as it was.
As a regular visitor to Jogja, I hoped that the Kimaya would be my regular hotel for many years. Sadly, I donโt think Iโll be back.

GGuest UserStayed for 2 nights with family of 12 people with 6 rooms, very large hotel, good location, clean in the hotel area but the cleanliness in the room is very dirty, the sheets in my room (both beds) There are stains of drinks spilled and one of them are dirty stains on the ground, and then the sheets have stains of cleaning services, such as the cleaning service staff is not good. The bed linen that seems very dirty is not changed or not clean in washing I don't know, obviously it is very annoying to me. And one of my group, his hand squeezed the bathroom door until his two fingers bleed, the bathroom door that was hard to push open and close to it very annoying.. Then the door of the room is always problematic, can't be opened until we always find help to the rervice room every time we enter the room, I hope that the future the settlement (door) will be replaced or at least repaired, us have a lot of choices for breakfast.

GGuest UserRoom Is cleaned without any bad smell, shower water is hot, TV got many different channels, got small fridge and safe. All people working in the hotel are very friendly and easy to communicate in English. Location is about 20 minutes walked from Jalan Malioboro and Plaza Malioboro. Breakfast variation is limited, but it's enough for us. Overall, it's a pleasant stay for us.
