We loved every bit of the stay. It is beside the London City Airport , so if you love watching planes; this is the perfect place. The service was great and was perfect for a relaxing getaway
Booked for my parents who would be exhausted after their 10.5-hour flight. I was approached via WhatsApp by their front desk and it turned out that my special request was kindly honoured. Parents were satisfied with the location (although they landed at T3 and took quite a while through the immigration) and the room and amenities were beyond expectation. Would definitely book again when necessary. Would be nice to have fried eggs for breakfast though.
The Canary Wharf Tribe never lets me down! Unbelievable stay all lead by Esther on reception who was just brilliant and accomodated me beyond what I had already imagined and if you haven't stayed before, everything about it is comfortable and luxurious. The bedding looked like it had been ironed on the bed to get the smoothest finish, the toiletries make you smell so lush and that's just the hand and body wash, top up with body lotion and you go to sleep smelling like heaven! Tea, coffee area catered for all including those like me who need decaf. There is even an instruction sheet to show you how to really relax and take in your morning coffee moment. The bed is like a fluffy cloud and pillows to get lost in. Thank you Esther, Tribe. I did not want to leave today. I will see you soon!
After a late evening flight from Amsterdam, I was pleasantly surprised by how convenient and comfortable my stay at Ibis Budget London Heathrow Central turned out to be. The location is ideal for late arrivals, with easy access from the airport. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, even at a late hour. My room was clean, quiet, and perfectly suited for a short stay. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the late arrival feel much less stressful. Great value and highly recommended for travellers in transit through Heathrow.
The hotel is enough for family stay.
Hotel provided complimentary breakfast. However, I think maybe is too many guests staying in the hotel, the breakfast has not prepared enough the portion of the breakfast for the guest, it has cost us can’t get/ need to wait quite long for them to replenish the foods .
Additionally, even though the hotel is 10minutes walk from Limehouse subway, but it was quite far from centre.
Always enjoy staying here. Check in and check out was easy.
Room was clean, tea and coffee supplied. Would be fantastic if rooms had a fridge though.
Breakfast was good, good selection of teas and vegan options available.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Only downside would be that the channels on the cable don't really work. Some do but most don't, when travelling with children and none of the children's channels work, it can be a bit of a nuisance. Aside from that I always enjoy staying here. Good location, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
I booked a queen size and it’s not one. Very small, tight. Would I book here again, maybe? If I needed something urgent and nearby to Romford but aside from that no. Please stop advertising the room as queen size when neither the bed or the size of the room is that. Way too cramped for 2 people. Luckily I didn’t have any luggage on me as that would have been worse.
Great location for flight the next day and clean. But the only elevator to T4 walking path was broken and they couldn’t be bothered to put a sign at the bottom. (Even after mentioning it to the workers)
3 pm check-in, it is quite late in the day, but you can check your bags.
Nothing really in the area so I would never base my travels from here.
Food was expensive and mediocre.
”Great stay for solo travel! The hotel is in a safe, convenient location with easy access to public transport. Room was comfortable and quiet, perfect for relaxation. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the free Wi-Fi and breakfast were a nice bonus. Highly recommend for solo travelers!”
Great stay for four adults in the double double-room, there was a separator in the middle of the room so a bit of privacy was provided. Complementary cocktails were a nice perk too. Cool view of planes landing at Heathrow

Very Good
GGuest UserIf you’re booking for the location then it’s a 10/10. Pods are a few minutes away which makes making your flight a breeze.
Beds and duvets are comfortable however i slept without pillows as i can only sleep flat. They’re only double pillows. Not a good sleep on that part as there’s no spares.
Hotel has no lift, but the first floor doesn’t have many stairs so not too much of an issue.
Beers are around £7 which is expected for a hotel near the airport. Good view overlooking the runway.
For a nights stay it’s a good deal, my second time I’ve been here now.
My only issue would be the pillows, with neck issues a lower pillow makes a huge difference.
GGuest UserThe room is super small, even its clean but too old for the furniture. I had to remove the table to another corner in order to use the wardrobe. It’s almost impossible to open the luggage. I’ve remarked the request and try preventing nearly elevator, but unfortunately I’ve been arranged to the room just besides elevator, so it’s really really noisy outside.
What I could not accept was the mattress, its slope and a bit hollow , I’ve requested to front desk staff and they said they would add a mat onto the mattress but finally they have forgotten. Poor service. And the staff hasn’t change a tissue box during cleansing when there’s out of stock
I’d not book this hotel again
MMelissaWe're a family of 4 with 2 young children and booked the studio. But when we arrived, we were told that the room had no electricity and so split us into 2 rooms instead.
While the rooms were generally clean, most of the bath towels had brown patches or old blood stains on them which was quite gross. 1 room that we were assigned to also had a weird fishy smell at the stove area.
The hotel is about 7 min walk from Aldgate East tube station and is located on quiet street. This is not a very pleasant area, and there were always shady characters around the tube station, which made us feel uncomfortable, so we tried not to stay out too late.
Staff were friendly and accommodating but they appeared short staffed during check in / check out timings. Only 2 staff on duty, so there is a bit of a wait if you need their help at these times.
GGuest UserThe hotel is within a short walking distance to: good eateries, shops and the train station to Central London. There are ample parking spaces at ~10pounds/ day for hotel guests. This older hotel has comfortable, spacious rooms but a quirky shower head (aim at the wall as you shower to avoid flooding the bathroom).
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is enough for family stay.

GGuest UserWe appreciated the quick check-in on arrival (earlier than expected) and the location to the sites we were touring was ideal. The breakfast was a perfect jump start to our busy days in London. The staff was very attentive and courteous. The room is very small but very clean. We were hardly in the room and slept well on the comfortable bed.
GGuest UserLocation is excellent with just a few minutes walk from Gloucester Road station. Yet the hotel is bit old and toilet got some strange smell when we first entered and the toilet door can’t be closed. As I was staying with family, I could bear with it. Nobody answering the calls when I was trying to call operator or housekeeping; always asking to leave message which I don’t like! Yet when I see the housekeeping staff on the corridor, they are very helpful!
GGuest UserBe careful of being unknowingly charged with a ‘discussionary charge of tips’ (supposed to be A Conpulsory charge of tips, don’t be fool by the name, it is non-discussionary) AFTER CHECKING OUT of the hotel. I was being charged with a discussionary charge of the tips on the credit card automatically without being informed upfront after I checked out and left the hotel.
When I checked out, i was informed at the counter that they were closing their account for previous day and they would help me check out my room and email me the invoice of my stay after they finished closing account. As a result, I innocently left the hotel since I thought a 5-star hotel would not have anything gone wrong. However, I was totally wrong until I saw extra charges on my credit card while not receiving any so called invoice from the hotel at all. I then reached out to Trip.com to request for the invoice that they have promised to send to me and it was then I was informed that the extra charges were from a discussionary charge of tips. I wasn’t happy about the way this was done hence I requested for a refund for this since it clearly stated this is a DISCUSSIONARY fee, not a compulsory fee. However, I was informed that this is a Non-refundable fee and my request was denied.
Out of so many hotels I have stayed, it is unbelievable that in a 5-Star hotel, I was forced to pay something that wasn’t even being informed upfront. In addition, with the fee name suggested, it is a discussionary charge of tips NOT a compulsory charge of tips, the hotel has forced the customers to pay it as COMPULSORY CHARGE OF TIPS.
In addition, the hotel services were very inefficient and lot of rooms for improve. We ordered for an in-room meal and we were told that it would take about half an hour to deliver. Hence we waited, and until an hour later, there was no update on our meal and we had to make a call again to check for the progress of our meal. It was then we knew there was a delay in the meal. By the time we done with our meal, we made the call again to request for someone to collect the plates, we literally waited for more than an hour and had to call twice before someone came to pick up the plates.
This shouldn’t have been the service received in a 5-star hotel and the worst of all, the hotel should have more transparency in their charges and should have informed the customers on the charges upfront before the actual charging. When we signed for the amount paid for the meal, there were no statement on the discussionary charge of tips at all, and we didn’t expect there would be as we were not even informed.
It is not that we are unwilling to give the tips and we did give the tips during the stay. However, it made us very uncomfortable that we weren’t informed anything upfront and it was charged to my credit card AFTER we CHECKED OUT of THE HOTEL. It made us feeling very unsafe to provide the credit card to the hotel as they can charge whatever charges they want after checking out the hotel. In addition, it is a discussionary charge, isn’t it should be discussed before I was being charged? If not it should be called a a compulsory charge of tips.
HHorrid HenryPrice would good when booked early enough. Location is good, walking distance to Borough Market and Tate Modern, though it’s a little far to the Underground and not many buses going nearby.
Multiple small supermarkets nearby.
Recommend Tony’s cafe nearby as a great breakfast place. Breakfast is good and included with every room. Would stay again.
