Hotels With Bar in Pilsen region, Czech Republic

This is a great hotel. It's clean, comfortable, and the lovely staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Our room was cleaned every day. which seems to be rare these days. The location is excellent too, near the main square. Highly recommended.

Well, yes ...4 stars ⭐️? No way 🙅‍♂️! Although rooms are large and clean, they have come into the years. The so-called Comfort upgrade ended on floors -0- ! So, from the reception first sparkly endless gangs, lift down, ways ( since sensors that regulate the lighting) almost entirely in the dark.. well; arrived at the door: light 💡 automatically back out ! Frokost in any case 4 stars 🌟; Reception: let's call it ”very friendly behavior” ....! Even for Czech Hotels Standards: too expensive for my missing holiday joy. Shortly: not necessarily again! Pilssen offers better hotels for the same money 💰...

We booked this based on previous reviews and were disappointed. We have never stayed at a Wyndham Hotel before and probably will not again. The good bits - staff were lovely and could not help enough, the hotel is modern and bright with excellent walk in shower. Beds were comfortable. It was very clean and we liked the ‘take a plant to your room’ idea. The bad bits - location is horrible on the junction of two main roads. Whilst a short distance to town there is no good walk, either go over an unlit footbridge to a dark path next to some open land inhabited by drunks at night, or walk on the verge of the dual carriage way and cross to the tram stop. Fortunately taxis were only about 100 czk. It is however directly opposite the Pilsner brewery and its tours. The in-room safe did not work and could not be fixed. We had to take valuables to reception. Breakfast was amongst the worst hotel breakfasts I have been served. The quantity and range was not too bad but the hot food was cold both days, waffles and eggs left under a heat lamp that just made them dry and not hot. Only white bread on the second day. The serving area was messy and not cleaned despite staff regularly checking the quantity of food left. The room was not cleaned second day until we asked and were told it was for ‘environmental reasons’ which is pure rubbish, I am happy to use the same sheets and towels but not making beds, cleaning and replenishing the coffee pods is just cost cutting, but of course they did replenish the chargeable mini bar. The back of the hotel and car park is accessed by a road through some poor quality housing, again with drunks loitering about. They were absolutely no problem just not a pleasant experience.

Check-in/Parken: sehr schnell, kostenfreier, bewachter Parkplatz Lage: Perfekt zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Stadt, der Brauerei, dem Fußball- sowie dem Eishockeystadion, dem Zoo, Kulturbahnhof und dem Techmania Sciencefictionfilm Center Ordentliche Gastronomie im Haus sowie auch in der Umgebung Zimmer: sehr sauber und ruhig, angenehme Raumgröße, Doppelbett mit guter Matratze, Badezimmer in gutem Zustand Frühstück: ein wenig beengt und wuselig, aber absolut gut und ausreichend Für mich sind das 5 Sterne und ein hervorragendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis !

What a nice surprise, probably the best Ibis we’ve ever stayed in. It don’t look much from the outside but the rooms were more than adequate for our one night stay. Good sized, beautifully clean with an enormous shower. Tea making facilities and a hair dryer were a welcome addition. Staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was really good. I’d happily stay here again. Ibis Ostend take note… that’s a whole different review!

La literie est bonne et les salles de bain sont neuves. Le wifi fonctionne bien. L’hôtel comprend également un restaurant. La salle Breakfast possède une magnifique collection de machines à coudre. Quant à la qualité des petits déjeuners, c’est ce que l’on a trouvé de mieux pendant notre séjour : les produits proposés sont nombreux, frais et de bonne qualité. Ils sont de plus inclus dans le prix de la chambre.

The location is right next to the square, which is very convenient. No matter where you go, if you go to the square, you can go directly to the hotel. The room is like a small attic, but there seems to be some places where employees don’t care. The bathroom is also very small and the ceiling is slanted like the roof, so I had to squat in the bathtub to wash my hands while taking a bath, and the toilet was hidden in the dark (I don't know how to say it, but the toilet is really far away in the dark). I thought the refrigerator was broken because it was not plugged in. When I plug in the refrigerator, it works well. There is no electric cooker in the room, so I asked the boss, and the boss boiled the hot water in the cafe downstairs. Of course, it is a little uncomfortable, but there is no problem keeping it for a while. The most important thing is that the staff are very friendly, and the puppies guarding the counter like the counter owner are very cute. If you encounter a puppy, please scratch your butt. Growl but enjoy.

We stayed at the wonderful Horizont last week and were lucky enough to spend New Years Eve there and join there Gala Evening which was absolutely first class (more of that later). The hotel is located in the beautiful Sumova region and is surrounded by amazing views of both Czech Republic and Germany with many Ski resorts scattered around. Check in was effortless and fast (we had to show our vaccination certificates). The receptionist (Daniella) was really professional and efficient but really friendly too which is a quality you seldom see in luxury hotels. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated with a pull out bed made for our daughter and a very modern bathroom with quality fittings and a rain shower. We opted for the hotel buffet dinner every day and were very impressed by the range of items and the freshness of the food (chefs were constantly refreshing the buffet). Drinks were waiter served (Jakub) and he could not have been more friendly and attentive. Breakfasts were just as good but with the added Coffee Barista who prepared perfect coffees to order (Flat white was amazing). The New Years Eve Gala was fantastic with a live band and DJ plus a non stop buffet of wonderful food including a Sushi Bar and Steak Tartar (and unlimited wines). All in all we had a wonderful holiday with impeccable service. Thank you Horizont.
