Welcome to our gorgeous unit in our Victorian house in Logan/Shaw ! The rental is in a separate floor of our brand-new house with its own private entrance. It has space and all the amenities for a family or group of friends: 2 bedrooms, a closet, a full bath, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen (with a double induction cooktop) and lots of natural light. Comfortable beds, excellent wifi, smart TV. The space is modern, simple, bright and cosy. Everything you need for a perfect stay. It is a garden apartment (with windows and natural light) of a townhouse. We live above with 2 healthy toddlers and you will hear their sound. That said, there is no street traffic noise and it is just off a main road.All this and just STEPS to the best of Shaw and Blagden Alley with starred restaurants, coffeehouses, art spaces & more, as well as Logan/14th Street restaurants, grocers, theatres and the convention center. Easily accessible to parks & points beyond via Metro & major transportation arteries.Cleanness is of high priority for us. We charge an additional $50 cleaning fee for pets. The backyard is a shared space for all guest.Other things to note:Ceilings are 7’ but there is a beam in the center of the apartment if you’re 6’5” or above you may need to watch your head. It’s caught me a few times lolNeighborhood:A typical neighborhood on the east side of the river. More mature community, many row homes, and super residential. It is not as gentrified as other places in dc but guests that are familiar with similar areas will feel right at home.The neighbors are pretty friendly and will talk your ear off if you let them. A friendly wave or head nod and they’ll get that your not much in a talking mood.Getting around:Access to the Blue/Silver line metro are available via two metro stations both walking distance from Clean&Cozy. Capitol Heights metro is the closest (7 min bus ride / 15 min walk). Benning Rd Metro is the other (12 min bus ride / 19 min walk). Street parking is free, however out of state plates cannot be parked on any DC residential street overnight on weekdays.1 private parking spot is available in the backyard per stay. A DC metro card is $2. I have an extra one for my guests to use during their stay but will charge a fee if lost.House rules:No shoes on the rugs please. They're super comfortable so socks and toes allowed :) Please don’t lock yourself out. Only lock the bottom lock when you are inside Clean&Cozy. When leaving do not lock the bottom lock. Use the app to lock the door. Please let the smart lock help you out. Please don’t smoke inside the property to keep the unit as clean and cozy as you found it. Our recently renovated carriage house studio is located in one of DC's best neighborhoods, just two blocks from bustling 14th Street (Logan Circle), 17th Street (Dupont Circle), and U Street. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and stores within a couple of blocks. It's also close to downtown DC with the White House about a mile away and the National Mall close by! Our studio is the perfect location for visiting friends, sightseeing, and exploring all that DC has to offer.There are several bus stops nearby, two separate metro/subway stations that are each about a ten-minute walk, and multiple Capital Bikeshare stations a couple of blocks in all directions.You access the carriage house studio via the alley behind our home. You enter through the garage by entering a garage door code. The studio is on the second floor. It is one large room with a kitchenette.The kitchenette has a mini-fridge with freezer, microwave, hot plate, Keurig, and drip coffee maker. The studio itself has several windows, A/C, heat, a ceiling fan, ample closet space, and a combo washer & dryer. The full bathroom is in a separate room.Please note that the studio has a steeper than normal staircase to enter and exit. The stairwell has a handrail and is well lit. The backyard courtyard cannot be used.For the streets closest to the carriage house, we can provide you a free parking permit that allows you to park nearby in all areas marked as Zone 2 parking. In order to receive a permit, you can send us your state, license plate number, and make/color of your car. We will print you a copy of the permit that you can leave on the dashboard. Please note that the parking permit is only valid on the surrounding streets and is not valid in all of DC. Please also pay close attention to street sweeping signs to avoid tickets. While the carriage house is located in one of DC’s safest neighborhoods, please do not leave anything visible in your car.For public transportation, nearby there are bus stops, two metro/subway stations, multiple Capital Bikeshare stations, rentable electric scooters & bikes, and plenty of Ubers/Lyfts/taxis.
