The excursion was even better than we expected. It started early, which was a good thing, as we had better visibility of the view from Mount Etna, perfect for photos and the hike. Our guide, Santi, was very helpful and friendly, driving smoothly the whole time and sharing some interesting facts along the way. The walk through the snow was great, and we were certainly lucky to have received a message from Santi the day before reminding us to bring spare socks, as our feet got completely wet. On the way back to Catania, we went for a tasting of local products, which was really nice. I think we made the best choice for this excursion, thank you!★

Great day! Guide Andrea was very friendly and personable. He shared many details about Mt Etna and life in Sicily. Very interesting to see lava fields and snow on Mt Etna. There was lots of fog so we didn’t get a view of the valley but we still had a great time. The Lava cave was rugged and our teens loved it! Highly recommend.★

Superb, impressive, and unforgettable! After fresh snowfall, the north face wasn't suitable for a tour. Ashàra then switched to the south side, and it was fantastic! The meeting point was initially a bit tricky to find, but everything was professionally organized, friendly, and competent. Personal equipment was meticulously checked for suitability. Anything the guides deemed unsuitable was quickly supplemented from Ashàra's stock—and that was a good thing. No participant was allowed to go without sunglasses—a wise decision. The ascent to the summit was expertly managed, entertaining, with well-placed breaks and very clear explanations about Mount Etna, its history, and life on and with the mountain… Excellent. Worth every penny. We always felt well taken care of, confident in our ability to safely navigate the route up and down. An incredible experience with two fantastic guides, Max and Giacomo. Grazie mille!★

Amazing tour! We hiked among the many craters of Mount Etna with breathtaking views. It feels like you step into another world. During the hike, we received explanations about the fauna and flora on Etna, as well as the volcano itself and its eruptions/lava. Super interesting and definitely a great addition if you want to learn more about Etna. At the end of the hike, you can ‘walk’ down a steep slope, where your feet sink 30 cm into the black (lava) sand, which was a fun way to finish! Afterwards, we went to a lava tunnel further up and received another explanation about the ins and outs. All in all, definitely worth it! Great tour guides who use some humor and still manage to explain things in an interesting way.
