The best way to get to the airport from Kowloon or Hong Kong stations. Buy the ticket ahead online and use the QR code, make sure your brightness is up to max when scanning at the gates. Plenty of luggage racks on the train, good WiFi and charge ports!

I ordered an Octopus card and a Hong Kong SIM card for 8 days while still in Beijing before my flight. Upon arrival at the airport, I easily found a counter and received both cards (though I did have to pay an additional 50 HKD refundable deposit). There was an exchange office nearby, and the yuan-to-HKD exchange rate was acceptable. I used the transport card on the "City Center - Repulse Bay Beach" shuttle buses and at retail outlets. The evening before my flight, I returned the Octopus card to the metro ticket office, and they refunded me a full 11 HKD fee. The bus fare from the hotel (from the bus terminal) to the airport on the E11 bus was 21.7 HKD per ticket, paid in cash. I'm happy with the purchase of the card and SIM card.

There are no lines during the day on weekdays, the view is beautiful, and I highly recommend it. The roundtrip ticket, including the observation deck, was cheaper than the price on site.
