Reviews: Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace Day Trip from Munich
Guest User2025-12-20
This tour is worth every penny. The ride on the bus is long but it goes quickly. On this tour you purchase the castle tickets on the bus. Linderhof Palace you cannot take any photos inside. The same with Neuschwanstein Castle. You should have time to grab a bite at Neuschwanstein Castle. Buy souvenirs first before going into either places. The bridge at Neuschwanstein is so fun but scary. It is 10+ hours but the "+" really depends on the traffic back to Munich.

Dmitri was amazing!!! We covered alot at both castles, with plenty of Flex Time for exploring, grabbing a snack/lunch/, or going to bathroom. The bus was very cozy!
Reviews: Neuschwanstein & Linderhof - Fairytale Castles Tour from Munich

I booked this trip for my family and I, and it was the highlight of our Germany trip. In this tour we visited first the Linderhof Palace, and then a stop in a smaller town, and ended the tour at Neuschwanstein Castle. The entire trip was really comfortable. The bus is air conditioned and even has a bathroom for emergencies. Periodically throughout the scenic drive through the mountains, our guide Courtney would give us a deep understanding of Bavarian history and other customs and stories of the region. Courtney was a really excellent and knowledgeable tour guide as well! She was incredibly friendly and attentive to each individual on the bus, even though there might have been at least 50 of us. Overall, I would give this experience a 10/10, and would recommend this trip to others!

Anna was a fantastic guide. She has so much knowledge and taught us so much. The two hour train trip held beautiful views ( even if it was raining) and with Anna telling us all about Ludwig II time flew by. our views were hindered due to the rain but then it began to snow which turned it from annoying rain to magical snow moods. we were so happy it snowed. This experience made it a highlight. I am so happy we went on this tour. It would have been a lot harder to find out way there and a lot less interesting without the history provided if we did it ourselves. Highly recommend
