Room rate is more than reasonable as the room is very big and location is very convenient.
However, would be great if below few minor things can be taken into consideration:
1) Breakfast - both quality and choices need to be improved.
2) Room - no electricity at the electric sockets next to the bed…so I need to charge my phone with the socket under the desk instead.
3) Spa - would appreciate if they can extend closing time to 10pm!
We have 2 wonderful staff assists and helping us plan our sites visits and meals. Le Tan and Thai Huong went beyond their duties. We have an well rested couple of days, especially from Ha noi. I definitely recommend this hotel to friends and families and likely return to this hotel.
We arranged private transport from Hanoi hotel to Hidden Charm and the transport was punctual (early in fact). Driver was focused and safe.
Check-in at Hidden Charm was a breeze, they served a citrusy warm drink that I enjoyed. Front desk customer service personnel were proactive in suggesting sightseeing spots at Ninh Binh when we asked for suggestions.
Breakfast buffet was pretty standard with western bread options and Asian pho, fried rice etc.
Location wise, Hidden Charm is very near the Tam Coc boat ticket booth and also offers bicycles for us to cycle to Mua Caves and where the Lying Dragon was. At the entrance to Mua Cave, there will be people trying to get you to park your bikes for a fee, typically 5k VND per bike but we found one close to entrance and charged 2k VND per bike.
Our room was at the 7th floor and comes with a expansive view. The bed was comfortable and not too soft. There was also a bath tub for me to enjoy.
At the end of trip, the hotel staff arranged for private transport to the Noi Bai airport at my request. Again, driver was early and ride was smooth. I enjoyed my stay at Hidden Charm and would recommend to anyone who wish to stay in a clean hotel with excellent service.
Emeralda Hotel in Tam Coc is a hidden gem, perfect for a serene getaway. Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, the location is ideal for exploring local attractions like Tam Coc caves and Ninh Binh’s lush countryside. The hotel is surrounded by excellent dining options, offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The property itself boasts top-notch amenities, including a beautiful pool, a luxurious spa, and well-appointed rooms that blend modern comforts. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or adventure, Emeralda Hotel offers an exceptional experience in the heart of Vietnam’s natural beauty.
Overall, it's okay. The room is quite big, and the breakfast is okay. There are not too many dishes, and the overall environment is okay. It's just that the late check-out service charges 50% for a few hours. I'm a bit unhappy.
The lady at reception was sooooo lovely!!! She has the best customer service I've ever received. We were welcomed and bought drinks and fruit. The room was new and clean, amazing view of the mountain beside the hotel as you shower with floor to ceiling windows. Everything was perfect and amazing. We are definitely going to come back to stay here someday and hopefully be greeted by the lovely host again. Thank you for such a pleasant stay!

All spectacular! Service, cleaning, flexibility with our needs. Besides, there is a nice view from the restaurant balcony. Breakfast delicious!
Indeed, I will be back!
Staff were so friendly and helpful with our heavy luggage. On arrival they were very helpful and escorted us to our room, the room was very clean and tidy. They also allowed us to rent bikes for free so we could cycle to the Mua caves. 10/10 couldn’t recommend enough!
4 star resort with 5 star prices & 3 star services.

Vietnam is a very beautiful & culturally rich country. We visited Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An, Da Nang & Ninh Binh on 11D/LON trip.
Hospitality, reception & local immersion was outstanding at all places (except Emeralda) - people were welcoming & hotel staff were very courteous.
Emeralda Resort at Ninh Binh was not so pleasant experience barring a few seasoned staff members. F&B Manager at Sen Restauran (morning paid breakfast) declined to entertain vegan food request & puréed fruit for 7 month infant, She said Kitchen's busy, we have large group to cater to. After much explanation she managed to get a fried rice (that's It!l) but for puréed fruit she denied & insisted I pay for it.
Organic Restaurant is good, couple of staff there (mostly women) were courteous. Pool Bar attendant had some issues, not even acknowledging the greetings.
Thanks to Ms Hung (Restaurant Manager), Mr Chung (Reception) & another Restaurant manager at Organic (missed her name) for making our stay bearable & manageable. They have a very wonderful property & spacious rooms, had the service been at par like ot 4 & 5 star resorts; it would be an ideal location for tranquility.
Note: Vegan / Vegetarian food menu is limited & not allowed to buy food from outside.
The room is clean and tidy, the environment is quiet, the service is thoughtful, the room settings are novel and convenient, and there is sufficient coffee and tea supply every day. It is worth staying for business travelers......

TTentenAmaiodinTam Ha (one of the staffs) had assisted us throughout our stay. Easy to communicate. We reached the hotel around 7am and they let us rest in the massage room while waiting for the check-in time (2pm). At 10am - room was ready for us to check-in. She even upgraded our room and thus, we had bathtub 🥰. They lent us a steamer for us to iron our clothes. Bicycles available to stroll around town (free) and motorcycles available for rent at 60k dong for half day. They even had so many services which sadly we had no time to experience. We did try the complimentary tea time and it was nice to hv a chat at the rooftop with such perfect view. I would recommend this hotel. Service 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Tam Ha even personally came to our room to check on us so that we didn’t miss our flight on the check-out day.
The other staffs were also friendly and kind. They assisted us promptly. Technician helped to fix our room telephone and carry our baggage. Everything went perfectly well and this had contributed to our great time in Ninh Binh.

LLaoheimaoIt’s hard to describe, not cost-effective, and I won’t stay here next time anyway. The price is probably around 500 per night in Vietnam. My colleagues and I were bitten all over by bed bugs. When we got home, we had flowers all over our bodies, and even when we pinched the blood, we still itched unbearably. The swimming pool is indoors, and the children swimming were so exciting that we couldn't even take a nap. Two bottles of water are free in the room. If you want an extra bottle, you will have to buy it. The waiters can speak Chinese and go to surrounding attractions. The hotel provides free bicycles. We can hire a hotel car to take you back to Hanoi Airport, which is cheaper than Grab and can issue an invoice.
SShazia Casoojee Across all of my travels so far, this is my favourite hotel. It's such a beautiful place - inside and outside. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. It's also perfectly located close to all the bars and restaurants. A great two night stay. Would highly recommend. Special shout out to Anh 😂 great guy, great sense of humour.
AArdi in ChinaBest hotel in the area. The villas are located in a quiet location alongside the mountains, 2 minute drive from the main part of ninh binh. Views are gorgeous and the breakfast was delicious.
