Since it is a five-star resort, my expectations were high. But Silavadee exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment of arrival, when our bags were swiftly grabbed up by porters, and the receptionist welcomed us with cool scented face towels and cups of delicious lemonade, every experience was a luxury. We had an ocean view pool villa, which was wonderfully peaceful and private. But we did still check out the private beach, main pool areas, and all three open restaurants (a fourth restaurant was closed for remodeling since we were there during an off-peak season), and all of the facilities have beautiful ocean views and are staffed by extraordinarily friendly employees. Employees always stopped to give us a lift in their golf carts if they saw us walking, and we even noticed them calling ahead via radio to send a cart for us if they saw that we were getting ready to leave the beach, etc. Despite the jungle setting (we loved all the birds and nature, but I suppose it's worth mentioning that some people might not love nature as much, since there was bird poop on the deck each morning - promptly cleaned by housekeeping), I didn't see a single mosquito during our 4-night stay. The resort did issue mosquito repellant to all guests, though, so they are presumably a nuisance at least during some times of the year. The resort is also a very short drive away from Lamai Beach (free shuttles from the resort are provided a few times per day, but it's also easy to catch a taxi/Grab if your schedule doesn't align with the shuttle schedule), which is wonderful for swimming and people watching. But we were happy to be away from the crowds for the most part. It's worth noting that the area isn't great for swimming, since it is very rocky (really, far too rocky to swim at all during low tide), but Lamai Beach has some of the most beautiful sandy swimming beaches around, so that's an option if you want to spend more time in the ocean. With our own pool villa, we mostly stayed on property and just enjoyed dipping in the pool and enjoying the views from the privacy of our own deck.

A really nice mid range resort. Size of rooms are massive and well kept and clean. Service was extremely lovely from reception to restaurant. Happy hour by the pool is great. The driveway from the main road to the building is poorly kept. It’s most comfortable to have a motorcycle for it. Reception organised a motorcycle for us and taxis to the pier. This is not extreme luxury but it is still a lovely stay.

The hotel is located right next to the local landmark (Grandmother and Grandfather rocks), at the end of the beach. I was there in early June and the water was beautiful: transparent, very comfortable in temperature, clean. Unlike Chaweng Beach, entering the water was more comfortable, since you didn't have to walk very far in shallow water, but it wasn't very deep right next to the shore. The main street with food is a bit far away, but in principle you'll find massages, food and supermarkets nearby. As for the hotel, the service was excellent. My room was very clean. Towels and everything you need were changed upon request. They gave you water. In my opinion, the breakfasts were very filling and varied. There are sun loungers, a shower and a pool on the territory, as well as access to the sea. There weren't many people in June and the vacation was as relaxed and comfortable as possible. The only downside is that they couldn't check me (and other visitors) in before 2:00 PM and I had to walk for three hours. But don't consider it a minus. It's just always worth considering the prize will captivate you in any hotel. So I highly recommend this hotel. If you want a quiet and measured rest, then you will not regret it.

We had a nice bungalow on the beach. Spent just over a week at Fair House and we had a great experience! One or two of the beachfront rooms are a little noisy and crowded due to proximity to big massage areas and/or pool, but luckily we ended up in one of the rooms just down the beach a few steps. The location of the resort is awesome. Chaweng Noi is the nicest beach we've been to on Samui during our couple trips to the island. It's not that active, but is very beautiful and peaceful, plus there are a couple of dining options. I would recommend the Sheraton's Blue Monkey beach bar/restaurant probably over Fair House restaurant, to be honest. The prices were certainly higher there, but the quality was substantially higher as well. With that being said, Fair House's service and breakfast were both plenty nice! The service staff were all pretty great, even if they had been there all day. In addition, if you want to get out of the resort area, there are a lot of options within a 20ish minute walk from the rooms, and even more options if you are okay walking a bit more, hopping on the resort shuttle, or calling a car (within 10 minutes drive or so). Overall, a lovely trip!

Big swimming pool and big rooms. 10 minute walk to the beach. Really good breakfast!!! Only one key card allowed and air conditioning takes a long time to cool the large room. No cable tv only free internet tv. Expensive during the full moon but better than sleeping on the beach.

I would be happy to leave a positive review of Cocohut Beach Resort & SPA, but with a small caveat. First of all, I would like to note that the attention to cleanliness, comfort and service here is truly top notch. I would give them 5 points for cleanliness: the rooms and common areas are in perfect order, which creates a feeling of comfort and care for guests. The service is also captivating - the staff is polite, responsive and always ready to help, which makes the holiday truly enjoyable. The amenities in the hotel did not disappoint, offering everything you need for a relaxing holiday. However, speaking of the location, I would give 4 points. The fact is that the beach that the hotel overlooks was not as attractive as I expected. The entrance to the water is quite shallow, but this creates some inconvenience due to the presence of algae and stones on the bottom, which may disappoint swimming enthusiasts. Despite this, it should be noted that there are many other magnificent beaches on the island that can fully compensate for this shortcoming. Overall, Cocohut Beach Resort & SPA is a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to my friends given all the positive experiences I had there.

The resort is on Lamai Beach, and the hotel is almost full of Europeans, especially French and Germans, and few Chinese. The deepest feeling is that the road inside the resort is very tortuous. If you go at night, although there are lights, you will be a little scared. The room is still the old-fashioned bathtub with shower, which means you need to stand in the bathtub to take a shower. The hotel has its own rental motorcycle, renting one of the cheapest is 250 baht, but the resort bill shows 50 baht, and the other 200 baht should be paid to the rental car company, so the front desk handwritten a receipt for reimbursement when checking out. I rented a car to the city center on the first day. Unfortunately, I was caught by the police without wearing a helmet and fined 500 baht. But this is related to the hotel, because I asked the hotel if there was a helmet when I rented the car, the hotel said yes, but did not give it to me. Later, when I came to the front desk with a ticket to ask for an explanation, the front desk said that I didn't know I was going to the city, so I didn't give it to me, and I didn't say that I would bear the fine. This made me a little angry. There is a Guangong Temple nearby, you can go and see it, it is still very majestic.

I made a note of a quiet room when I made a temporary order in the morning. When I arrived at the hotel around 12 noon, a very quiet room in the corner had been arranged. There was a solo traveler next door, and the child's sofa bed had been laid out, so I checked in immediately. It's much better than the Ritz-Carlton in Samui where I stayed this time (Lizi kept asking me to wait until after 3 o'clock to check in). I enjoyed complete natural tranquility here. The villa was very private and I slept very well. In front of you is the sea, next door is the rain forest, and you can see the starry sky above, far away from the hustle and bustle. I didn't hear any voices, cars, or music! The room inspection can be improved. The sticky cups, safe and scale were all broken. It took three uncles 40 minutes to finally replace them with new ones. The little sister who cleaned the house was very serious on the first day, and the cleaning on the second day was very serious. The two of them fooled around for five minutes and enjoyed the results of the little sister's careful cleaning. But these are small things. It's great if it can meet my core requirement of quietness. I have decided to stay here again next time I come to Samui. Thank you very much to the Chinese male manager who arranged the room at the front desk!

AAdam PuetzfeldGreat hotel with great and attentive service as well as very clean facilities. We've been welcomed very warmly by all the staff at the reception. Our room had a great and straight view on the sea, located just above the pool. The hotel itself is build on a hill and it's not easy to walk up to the rooms, however, the staff is always ready and offering shuttle service which is great.  Our room was very clean, the bathroom offered enough space. The only thing I wish could have been provided were some more toiletries (such as tooth brush, comb and a shaver). Breakfast selection on the buffet was quite limited but sufficient for a 3-4 days stay. Besides that there was an a la carte Egg Dish menu, which was very nice. Recommend the Egg Benedict, these were poached daily perfectly.  The location of the hotel slightly remote but quiet on the other hand. Plus, there's a van shuttle service twice a day and hotel itself provides drop offs down to the main road whenever needed. Bike rental is just bedside the hotel, which made it even more convenient.  Overall a great time at the Mantra Hotel, can only recommend.

MMarielleeGarrya Tonsay Bay was a beautiful and peaceful oasis on Koh Samui! We stayed for a couple of nights and loved the variety of included activities, from morning yoga and Muay Thai to circuit classes, paddle boarding, and snorkeling—all very well organized. The restaurant was excellent; we enjoyed the ”Taste of Northern Thailand” dinner, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommend this relaxing retreat!

VViktorLocation: you need to immediately understand that you will need transport. There are a couple of cafes within walking distance, but we didn’t go to them, there weren’t many people there either, except that a couple of times we saw a few farangs having breakfast. Report offers delivery to and from the beach during certain hours. I don’t remember the price: either free, or for a symbolic fee, very low. They also offered to order breakfast and have it delivered to your villa: it’s certainly more expensive than in a regular cafe, but still affordable. We did not use this service, since we would have to plan breakfast time in advance (why?). The beach... we stayed during the daytime low tides, so I can’t say anything good about the sea, but the beach itself is clean and almost deserted. Surprises: we booked a villa with three bedrooms and a living room + a swimming pool. When looking at the photos of the rooms (at the time of booking), I could not understand the location of the room and also could not understand the privacy of the pool. Will the pool be ours alone or will it have to be shared with guests from some other villa. I even looked around on Google Maps, but still didn’t fully understand it. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised that this very villa consists of two separate houses between which there is a swimming pool (not small, but medium in size). One house consists of two bedrooms with separate entrances and separate bathrooms, and the other house consists of a huge living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom + 2 bathrooms. Grandiose! Another patio. Of the minuses: not very stable wi-fi, TV is brooding. That's all. Air conditioners also do not cool as quickly as we would like, but this is the fault of the building design. A huge area of glazing which is made of single wood. If in the future we install normal aluminum structures with double-glazed windows, it will be possible to achieve a better effect from air conditioners + save on electricity and improve sound insulation. However, air conditioners do their job quite well. It was almost always quiet. Overall everything is ok. This place is worth the money. The owner, Lana, is very friendly and speaks perfect Russian.

AAlipallyLet’s start with the staff. Tik and all the team are so amazing and we couldn’t have asked for better service Sadly on arrival we were met by building works from the main decking area and a pool that just looked broken. Tiles missing and lacking water in areas. We were informed that due to this being the quiet month (pre school holidays ). That this was the only time to get it done !! We were given a free spa but again however nice the drilling noise and building work could be heard throughout. The management who were present did not seem to acknowledge that this was a problem for us. The view from the bungalow was amazing. However I wouldn’t have booked it if I had known that it sat on a beach that you couldn’t enter. An unswimmable area due to low tide and sea urchins. This was our luxury part to our holiday and sadly apart from the staff it was very disappointing. I would have been informed of the disruptive building work during my stay and the management failed to address this issue and the poor pool maintenance.

GGuest UserMy recent stay at Cape Fahn Hotel, Koh Samui, was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived on the private island, I was enveloped in a world of luxury, tranquility, and unparalleled beauty. The resort’s location is simply breathtaking. Situated on a secluded island off the coast of Koh Samui, Cape Fahn offers a level of privacy and exclusivity that is unmatched. Accessible only by boat, the journey to the island sets the tone for an unforgettable escape from the ordinary. Upon arrival, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a refreshing welcome drink. The staff’s attention to detail was evident throughout my stay, from the seamless check-in process to the thoughtful gestures that made me feel like a valued guest. My villa exceeded all expectations. Perched on the edge of the azure sea, it offered panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding islands. The interior design was elegant and refined, with every amenity imaginable to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay. The private infinity pool and spacious terrace provided the perfect setting for relaxation and contemplation. Dining at Cape Fahn was a culinary delight. The resort’s restaurants served a variety of gourmet dishes inspired by local flavors, each prepared with precision and creativity. Whether enjoying a romantic dinner under the stars or a leisurely lunch by the pool, every meal was a feast for the senses. The resort’s facilities were equally impressive. From the infinity-edge swimming pool to the state-of-the-art fitness center, there was no shortage of ways to unwind and rejuvenate. I particularly enjoyed the spa, where I indulged in a blissful massage overlooking the ocean, leaving me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Overall, my experience at Cape Fahn Hotel, Koh Samui, surpassed all expectations. It’s a sanctuary of luxury and serenity, where every moment is cherished and every need is anticipated. I can’t wait to return to this hidden gem in paradise.

AAzy AbdullahThe check in was smooth. Plenty of stairs so we ended up helping the porter which was fine but was pretty ugh carrying it up, checking out. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in (106) was nice for a short stay. Loved level 2's facilities they have 2 fridges. One for each floor. That was a pleasant surprise. I didn't see any tissues provided nor toothbrushes. No hot water in level 1 bathroom. We got caught in a downpour one night, and hairdried ourselves warm after showering again in cold water. Housekeeping was prompt n thorough everyday. My only one gripe was they switched off the pathway lights after a certain time and personally for someone drunk to come back, stumbling down the stairs is just an accident waiting to happen. I had kids so I was worried about them tripping after coming back from dinner n walking in Chaweng. I just don't think it's safe for the older travellers too. The breakfast was basic. Order off a breakfast menu. But overall, for a food nights rest, good bed, ac and wifi.
