Great location for shopping and lots of restaurants nearby. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was ok in terms of size but more space for putting up wet swimming suits are needed.
One very unpleasant experience was that there was no clean up for our room in the last night of our stay. We certainly put up the clean-up sign. At that night we have to call for bath towels and drinking water (the hotel does not recommend to use tap water, even after boiling. They provide two large bottles of drinking water instead). To make it even worse, they didn’t bring anything to us until I made another call 20 minutes later. And still, I asked for two towels and they just gave me one (we are a family of four).

Great oasis in busy Kuta beach area. 2 large swimming pools and an extra smaller pool for kids or lounging. Swim up bar, basic gym, lush garden setting, good breakfast and close to the beach. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful honeymoon stay at The Apurva Kempinski Bali. The property is absolutely stunning—grand architecture, lush gardens, and a serene atmosphere that made us feel truly relaxed from the moment we arrived.
Our room had a semi-private pool, which added a special touch of privacy and luxury to our stay. The staff surprised us with a honeymoon cake and welcome drinks, which made us feel extra celebrated and cared for.
Breakfast had a great variety, and we were especially happy to find delicious Indian options available—something we didn’t expect, but really appreciated!
Service was professional and warm throughout. It’s a superb property for couples looking to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the beauty of Bali in a 5-star setting. Highly recommended!
Very clean and comfortable stay at Kuta Beach Hotel. Nice rooftop restaurant with pool & sun loungers. Good buffet style breakfast with omelets made fresh to order. The ” Standard room ” facilities were excellent with hot shower, refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, bottled water and spotlessly clean bedding. There was also a security safe in the room. The ducted aircon worked very well. I would highly recommend staying here again.

If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the jungle while still enjoying modern comforts, Askari Resort is an excellent choice. The resort seamlessly blends into the natural jungle terrain, creating a serene and immersive experience.
Our private pool villa with a riverside view was absolutely stunning, waking up to the sights and sounds of the flowing river and lush greenery was unforgettable. The panoramic view from the reception level was breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the resort.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service from our personal assistant, Ms. Ayu Diah. She was incredibly attentive, hospitable, and always responsive, even beyond working hours, ensuring that all our needs were met.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, leaving us spoilt for choice. Additionally, for those looking to explore beyond the resort, there are beautiful rice fields nearby where you can experience the local agrarian culture.
The resort is conveniently located within a short distance of rice terraces, waterfalls, temples, local restaurants, and charming villages, making it a perfect base for exploration.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly immersive and luxurious jungle retreat!

Booked a pool access room for 7 days but on arrival was told it wouldn't be available for 3 nights. They said there was an issue with booking company (trip.com) not sure how accurate this was.
Regardless we were vupgraded into a suite for the first 3 nights
Room was beautiful, but a long way from the pools compared to the pool access room.
Worst part was that we needed to find something to do between room changes for 5 hours.
Hotel could do with a refurbish, looking a bit old, particularly the white crockery trolleys at breakfast that looked quite dirty, and filled with clean plates.
Food was good at breakfast but didn't vary much over the 7 days. Eg: maybe guava or apple juice instead of pineapple and orange every day.
Also pineapple in the fruit section would be great.

Absolutely wonderful , amazing hotel with huge rooms and very nice location. it is a bit outside of the town, but that's what it makes it so special. The area is so green and nice, the lobby is cozy with huge chairs you can enjoy the view of greenery around. I liked it so much that I already booked it for my next trip to Uluwatu.

It was a very lovely resort, huge & had lots of activities.
Very friendly/polite workers.
They gave welcoming drinks and string bracelets (consist of 3 elements; The red element symbolizes creativity and bravely, the black element symbolizes powerful and protected us from bad spirit and white element symbolizes spirituality and goodness).
They gave fruit platter in room.
I accidentally missed a step on the front fountain at the entrance steps on my way out walking, twisted my ankle badly on the first day. My husband asked for an ice pack & they gave us a bucket of ice. That was lovely.
Need to focus on cleanliness especially on bathroom - showers (slight molds) and bathtubs (painted on - in the first room before they moved us closer to our son. The paint was peeling off as we filled bathtub with water.
The bathtub was slippery in the second room, my son fell in & hurt his back & hips.
They managed to find me a room so that I could be together with my son (adjoining room) but the air conditioning was not working. I asked them for at least portable AC but they only gave us a pedestal fan.
Gym was very tiny, not balance as there are over 500 rooms in the complex. Plus, lack of monitoring, water dispenser is empty.
The squash balls aren’t pumped so it doesn’t bounce at all.
Porter need to be extra careful when pushing trolley cart, I got struck with it from the back so hard. I injured myself but he didn’t mean it, he was very apologetic.
Therefore we decided to checkout one day early, even though we paid for it.
I asked for lunch as a swap and paid the difference since we won’t be around for the next day breakfast (due to early checkout) but not possible but instead they did prepare & pack-up breakfast boxes in advance. That was lovely of them.

Very Good
NnasifahOur room was very nice and we had a comfortable stay, however the rest of the hotel is in need of TLC. We only stayed one night so was ideal for a place to sleep but not recommended as a long stay as very remote and hotel lacks the facilities.
Our room was very nice and we had no issues so I would stay again.
LLadySoulI had a great stay and experience at the Holiday Inn Resort. I arrived exhausted, sore & with the “Bali Belly” from my busy week in Ubud. The lovely lady at the reception immediately picked up on my state upon arrival. I appreciated her inquiring about what was wrong and her sympathy. The hotel also offered me complimentary ginger, turmeric, honey & lemon tea several times for the issue with my stomach. I found a gecko in my room. They tried to get it out but failed. They instead upgraded my room and moved me to a gecko free room. I really appreciated that gesture. The spa was equally amazing. I was met with friendly smiling staff all day long around the hotel. I loved the breakfast and the beach views. Thank you so much Holiday Inn for making my last few days in Bali Amazing. Don’t hesitate to book it!

FFong tim ciVery suitable for family vacation , good breakfast and dinner . A place where u stay for few days and just enjoy in the hotel as the facilities like swimming pool ,kid club and spa already enough for you to use . However place far away from convenient shop and town.
GGuest UserWalking distance to massage and food options. Nice beach area which is good as people reserve the sun beds from sunrise. Breakfast has a good variety and room service is reasonably priced. A bit ‘resorty’ but has everything you want and great for the price
UUyanga0205We’ve booked and stayed 4 room for 2 nights. The cleanness wasn’t enough and little ants were everywhere in the rooms we stayed first. We’ve changed the rooms and the got better.
DDaniilAbsolutely wonderful stay! The hotel exceeded all expectations — the staff were incredibly friendly, always ready to help and genuinely eager to make our stay comfortable. The location is simply stunning, with breathtaking sunsets that you can enjoy right from the property. An added bonus: there’s excellent diving just around the corner! Truly a perfect getaway.
GGuest UserIt was a good experience and the manager was friendly. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring all my needs were met. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with a stunning view of the city.
It is a great choice for travelers looking for a budget-friendly yet comfortable option.
GGuest UserA very disappointing stay at this hotel. Issues started at check in and continued throughout our stay . Our family booked 5 rooms at the Alam KUL KUL and we all had issues with facilities and getting any action taken to address them . To start we visited the hotel in mid November 2023 to enquire about late checkout when we stayed in February 2024. The hotel reception were very pleasant in November and guaranteed that late checkout was easy and it was a great rate of 550.000 . The reception staff said that they had added the late checkout to our booking. When we arrived in February everything was different. First the reception staff questioned that we had visited in November and that we did not have late checkout added to our booking. They insisted that we name the hotel staff who we had spoken with in November. After much discussion we had the late checkout added but staff were less than friendly. Then they insisted we pay the extra money straight away. We said no problem but then my wife’s wise card wouldn’t work in their payment machine and staff kept insisting that the wrong pin was being entered. My wife had been using the card for the last 7 days in Bali with no issues. So I then gave them my wise card and was surprised when it wouldn’t work in their machine either. I also had been using my card daily in Bali with no issues. After much further discussion with hotel reception they said that we could pay at check out. We had already pre paid for all 5 rooms prior to this. On the day of checkout I received a request to contact reception as they had no records of us asking for late checkout. During several WhatsApp messages from reception they said that we had refused to pay for the late checkout and that we had stated that we would get it free. I was absolutely disappointed to receive these messages and we had never stated anything about free late checkout. The reception staff continued sending messages that were completely false statements. In reflection I think that the staff were trying to cover up the poor service lack of professionalism that they lacked. This were only a few of the small issues that arose during our stay . Our daughter and family had a mouse running around their room and it took staff 3 days to come and look at the room. There was never any offer to change rooms. Another family group had their air conditioning not working and it took 3 days for the hotel to address that issue . My wife ordered drinks during happy hour at the garden pool and when the bill came they wanted to charge full price and their staff stated that my wife had ordered room service! She was locked out of our room at the time because the electronic key kept failing.
On 3 separate occasions I asked to speak with the hotel manager to see if we could get better communication and service. Unfortunately the manager was always unavailable, so can only assume that is where the problem starts . Too important or don’t care about hotel guests.
Most of the hotels staff were extremely friendly and welcoming especially the restaurant staff.
The Alam is a very old property in a very good location. The rooms have been renovated and beds are comfortable. After visiting Bali about 16 times and staying in many different hotels and villas this was our most disappointing stay in Bali. It’s a shame that the small issues kept coming and that the hotel were either trying to cover up or complacent about.
